Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by nice hotel but poor policy We stayed here twice this month, 3 nites each time. The room was clean and comfortable. Kelly (at counter) was friendly and welcoming. Manager was intelligent and pleasant. However, night staff was not well trained to make on-the-spot-decisions. Our a/c unit broke down at midnight on our last nite. The night attendant found one room available but insisted that we pack up all our clothing, personal items, food, etc in order to spend the nite there. Not something we wanted to do at midnight before an early morning flight. we simply wanted to sleep in the a/c room and return to our un-a/c room in the AM. She flatly told us no, due to company policy of not allowing 2 rooms to be occupied under one reservation. We understood the policy but felt this was one time to make an exception. She obviously did not feel comfortable doing so. We opted not to lose another hour's sleep to make the change so we stayed in the hot room and she provided a fan. We spent the last nite of an otherwise enjoyable stay getting very little sleep due to the heat. A rather unfortunate ending to a pleasant stay. We explained all this to the manager in the AM. He apologized, agreed she should have taken the initiative, but we were disappointed that he did not offer to make some adjustment in our bill. That would have taken the sting out of the event and seemed appropriate action. (And we're even IHG members) May 30, 2016
