Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Unsafe Experience
While I was asleep, a woman came into my room. She informed me that a hotel staff member assigned her the room I was in and provided her with a key.
After speaking with the Manager, I was offered 5,000 points that could be used for a 1 night stay in the future.
So basically, anyone can obtain access to your room that you are in. If this happens, it is worth 5,000 points. That's if it doesn't end in a more tragic way.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SHawkins Always a comfortable experience here
This is a great hotel due to its proximity to downtown Sacramento. Old Sac is literally right next door. I stay here whenever I am in the area and I am never disappointed with the property or its staff. Would definitely recommend.

We feel very comfortable and safe at this establishment. That's why we keep coming back when we visit Sac for a race. No complaints about the staff or the cleanliness, but it was a little disappointing that we had to plug in every lamp in our room. I'm assuming they were unplugged for shampooing or something like that, but it was kind of a drag to have to plug everything in before we could have light. Also, the wi-fi never connected. We will be back in the spring if the rates are decent.

My stay is usually very comfortable, however, this time around there was a large conference going on and the lobby was unusually very loud and busy.

This location is right on the mall, just off the freeway and across from "Old Sac", the train station, and near the Capitol. It's extremely convenient but a few issues come with that. Parking is impossible except in the extra-cost parking garage ($16-$18). It's an urban and some homeless/transients are in the area. Old Sac is a "Night Life" destination so many of the Hotel guests will be returing to their rooms late. That and the proximity to the freeway can create some noise. I stayed on Halloween weekend. I heard some noise from guests but that was to be expected on that Holiday. Freeway noise was not an issue in my room. If Old Sac and the other immediate attractions are not of interest to you, there are plenty of other Hotels in the general area that may suit you. But, this is THE PLACE if you want to visit Old Sac.
