Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor breakfast service / Poor check in Breakfast was a huge dissatisfier. It was supposed to be included in our room rate and it wasn't. Waitress service was very poor and the cook was brand new and did a really poor job on preparing the meal. We had to wait 10 minutes before the front desk person came back to the front desk to check us in. February 9, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice rooms This is the second time I've stayed in this specific Holiday Inn. The rooms are very clean and the staff have always been very accommodating both times. The bathrooms are nice which is important to me. The breakfast does not automatically come with this room like at some other hotels so double check when you book. The hotel sits right next to a SAMs club so the swimming pool is situated next to their parking lot. We used it last time and did not really affect the experience; it's just not that pretty. I always take some white noise maker with me when I travel to sleep with but did not have it with me this time. It was quiet in the hotel overnight but in the morning you can hear doors shutting down the hallway. If you don't want to get woke up by doors at 6 or 7 in the morning just take a fan with you to block it out. I like this hotel obviously or I wouldn't have booked it again. February 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by San Antonio's best kept Secret! We had a 4 day Scrapbooking event at this Hotel. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very accomodating! The meeting room is the best kept secret in San Antonio! The space, lighting and comfortable chairs created a very enjoyable experience. The air conditioning was superb!! There were many outlets, strategically placed in the floor, which were more than adequate for all of our electronics. We enjoyed a dinner buffet that was fabulous!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rewards stay I used rewards points to bring my family to San Antonio - we rented 4 rooms. The restaurant staff was exceptional. They were even welcoming on Christmas day! Noah asked us to come and say bye before we left. We actually had our family Christmas in the lobby complete with Christmas carols and presents. The friendly staff made us feel right at home. Only down side was on occasion one or more the rooms did not get housekeeping, but when notified they promptly got all the towels/linens we needed. I would definitely return. As a rewards member I feel IHG is generous with the upgrades when using points that is one of the reasons I utilize IHG as often as I do. Reward rooms were all upgraded to suites. Good quiet location right next to Walmart and some basic restaurants. Good breakfast and quiet bar. Dinner is decent. Good service in the restaurant by knowledgeable young men working the evening shift. Nice rooms - possibly because it's a new property. Overall, a very comfortable stay. A hidden gem in SA. I like the hotel and staff ,but the food was bland and very basic and burnt and just awful and way over priced for what they served. This stuff couldnt compete with the dollar menu at mcdonalds. Very satisified with the overall experience, showed up late , greeted as a platinum member, upgraded my room and a breakfast voucher. Will stay again, the little things are the ones that make the most difference. I stay in hotels 2-3 days a week, want it to be the most bang for my buck in a clean enviroment. October 28, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nicely updated, good value Holiday Inns are mostly created equal, but this one had a couple of things that set it apart. First, instead of the typical slide-horizontal shudders, they had screens contained in the window assembly that blocked out all light. Second, the lighting in the room was very well done with individual reading snake lights mounted to the headboard - as well as low-profile lighting around the outside. These both went a long way to helping us relax! (They also were very liberal with granting a late checkout - but that apparently is a given if you're a IHG rewards club member.) October 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One Night Stay The hotel was the most beautiful Holiday Day Inn I have stayed in, ever. The decorator of this facility should be commended. I really loved the upgraded room that the nice gentleman who checked me in provided to us--it was spacious and well-appointed. My only complaint is that I was shocked that breakfast was not included in the price of our stay. I have never paid to eat at a Holiday Inn, so I was shocked to be stopped by two employees in the dining room and asked why I was taking two coffees, a few strips of bacon, and a few sausage links up to my room. Please begin telling regular IHG rewards club members at check-in if they need to be prepared to pay for breakfast. October 2, 2013

Staff at the dinning room only one person to take care off the whole area - and most items we picked out to teat they were OUT and the meal we did choose was not that great . plus the people staying not sure it was a group or family event were demanding loud and rude - not a pleasant experience to include the pool area. Dining staff did not make an effort to accommodate was disappointed - after 8 hour drive - hope they changed September 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Loved the room except for housekeeping forgetting I loved everything about the hotel. Only thing was that housekeeping did not stock our room with extra tiolet paper, tissues. When we came in late that night, that is when we noticed. We called front desk and young man said he was the only one working and could not take up to our room. We were already in our pajamas so we asked him to bring up to room when someone else came in. It was waiting at our door the next day at 7am. I appreciate what he did but if housekeeping had not forgotten to stock our room there would not have been a problem. Other than that we loved the room. August 28, 2013
