Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good stay with family at Gent Expo Holiday Inn We visited Gent Expo in may during the long weekend. It was a good stay. The hotel is nice but nothing too fancy. Very courteous staff and attentive to needs. Breakfast was exactly the same all three mornings, which made it a bit boring. Reception was good enough to lend me a universal power adapter, which I required. Thanks. Room was too warm and it was not possible to set the temperature to below 16 degrees. Definitely felt warmer than 16 degrees. Riding to Gent centrum by tram was very easy (though it is difficult at first to figure out how to reach the tram station). Reception gave us a tourist map, which was nice. Driving to Brugge is really easy too (30 minutes). Reception doesn't keep tourist maps of Brugge ... I assume most leisure travellers who come to Gent visit Brugge too. It would have been a nice touch. May 21, 2015

All facilities and breakfast very good and staff excellent. Could do better: 1.very difficult to style hair with the hair-dryer fixed inconveniently in drawer. 2. needs a couple more power sockets 3. Air-con not very responsive 4. shower fixings not very good. A walk in shower would be preferred. Toiletries very average. May 21, 2015
