It is one of the best hotels in Sudbury. The staff is extremely super nice and attentive,who makes you feel at home anytime you are there. Overall just a great hotel.

I was not greeted by friendly hospitable staff, but rather a room that was not ready, and a rather abrupt response from the front desk staff. Our lunch, again, seemed to be a bother for the staff, despite an empty restaurant. It got worse. The signage to find the meeting rooms is poor, and once in them, I rarely ever saw staff maintaining the room (water top up perhaps?!) Our dinner was in the back of the restaurant. A nice atmosphere for a group of aprox. 25, however we only had ONE server, who was also bartending!! Very poor, slow service/scheduling. To make matters worse, the "steak" served was of very poor quality and not cooked to specs for most guests (because it was so thin perhaps?). Finally, meeting room service fri. am was again, non existant. Coffee was so late, we went out ourselves for Tim's. Water, etc. was not refreshed, and the only time I saw staff in the room was to make noise with the brown bag lunches (the bread was good, but processed meat slices? terrible). I can get past the room disrepairs, but the poor service makes me wonder why we patronize this property.

Full hotel, kept up 1/2 the night by hockey team players running the hallways and drunk parents. Restaurant was the best part, with good food at reasonable price. Not enough security to correct the problem.

I've been staying at the Sudbury Holiday Inn for the last seven weeks. All of the staff have been exceptional in their service and friendliness. These are the things that keep me coming back ot this hotel when I need a place in the Sudbury area. Thank you everyone for making the time I have to spend away from my home a little more tolerable.

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions...mainly because I didn't make a reservation at another hotel before they booked up. Whenever I stay at this hotel something unpleasant seems to always happen, by now I should have learned.
I have often been given rooms beside the elevator or exterior doors with people coming and going all night keeping me awake.
I have had "stinky" musty smelling rooms.
I have had the shower tap/handle fall off mid shower to not have any water. The tap was held on with a metal zip tie instead of being replaced.
Last stay I had absolutely no hot water...worst way to start the day. I had told the front desk about both of the shower issues and received a robotic sounding apology (I think they do these often) but nothing else to make up for the terrible stay.
I love holiday inn, I hate holiday inn Sudbury. Stay elsewhere even if it is in your car.

had a great time and ate well at their restaurant as well we had a blast in their pool area that was open till eleven. it was close to the medical clinic we needed to visit as well as very short distance away from science north and dynamic earth. a gas station was down the street and a mall very close by. our pet was also welcome :) a medical rate was offered to make room more affordable . during our stay, I forgot my wallet by the vending machine with almost 200.00 in it....early morning a chamber maid found it by the vending machine and returned it to the front desk untouched....unbelievable...with little money for our medical trip I was truly thankful for the honesty of the staff that the wallet went through before its return to me :D I cannot express my gratitude enough . me and my children will forever remember this act of honesty xo

1) IHG Gold member's room is allocated to high traffic area, right across to noisy vending machines and ice machines
2) Long line-up and wait at check-in (not the first time)
3) Room is not made by 5pm the next day, due to janitors "focusing on new arrivals" (I was told)
4) Location is offered with internet service. Disappointing. Slow or rather not working.
1) IHG gold members meet and greet is a great idea, the wine selection was great
2) Attitude of staff, including the General Manager (issues have been address to him) is good, they are helpful, the acknowledge the problems and trying to correct, but sometimes it's beyond their control.

I was not impressed as we stayed in room 312 and the outside door into hotel over the ramp from parking did not lock. Excuse was lock was coming should of been fixed as soon as was broken . Also curtain liner in window ripped looked shabby and outside of tub in seam was gruddy and rusty looking. Also was dirt in corners of bathroom floor.

The room was fine. The staff were great - friendly and helpful. My biggest beef - aside from torn curtains - was spotty TV reception and pretty poor WiFi signal strength. The first made watching TV painful. The second cost me lost work time and at least 2 computer crashes.
Staying in touch with the world is critical for me on a business trip so the WiFI issue really overshadowed everything else which was what I expect from a good Holiday Inn.

I stay at this hotel whenever I am in Sudbury and I have never been disappointed. The staff are great and always have a warm greeting. This time I was provided with a cheese plate. Thanks so much for this, it truly was appreciated.
We had an issue with the wireless and their tech person came right up and made sure the issue was addressed. Thanks so much for the quick response!
As always the rooms are great and bed is very comfortable. I get the best sleeps at this hotel.

Stayed here on business, my room was ready early and I was able to get in. I was not happy with the outside room and the front staff was able to put me in the main building. I had requested a king suite and they were able to maintain that room in the main building. It was great. Quiet floor. I will stay here again.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn in Sudbury, ON on many occasions. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is good and the hotel is easy to find. The price for the room is very good and is competitve with other hotels in the area.

Decent location, close to food and pharmacy shopping, short driving distance from downtown, seamless check-in, polite, cheerful and efficient staff, local maps, comfortable and clean room, WI-FI and parking included, easy access to unload and load car, super fast checkout.
All in all a very pleasant experience. Will stay again next visit.

We were not able to check no our room until 4 pm. however the wedding was also at 4 pm. The staff offered us the pool change room. Luckily we had relatives staying in another room. I suggest coordinating wedding bookings with cleaning rooms and check in times.

My Family stayed at the Sudbury Holiday Inn and really enjoyed our stay. The room was huge and the beds were so very comfy !! Every staff member we met in the halls were so friendly and made us feel very welcomed. It was located a close enough distance away from Science North and the Shopping Center. We would recomend this hotel to anyone who said the were heading that way. Only thing I would change was that there was no free breakfast that you get at the Holiday Inn Express hotels. We missed our cinnamon buns in the morning lol !!

The air conditioner sounded like a plane landing, the grout in the bathroom needs replacing to feel clean and there was a general feeling of shabbiness. The best part of the room was the lovely bed. I brought my own pillow and forgot it. When I returned 3 hours later to retrieve it, it took a good half hour, but the desk clerk actually went herself to get it back for me and I was grateful for that.

I was a bit disappointed with the service and room conditions. I was sent to older room. Air conditioner and TV were not working properly. Requested a new room. One of the Queen Beds had blood stains on bed sheets and a used bar of soap was in bathtub. My newspaper never arrived in the morning for platinum privilege. The whole Hotel complex needs to be renovated and needs to look clean. Only good service was in the restaurant.

Staff is always great, but..
Didn't have wireless Internet all evening. The wireless provider called me but didn't resolve issue and didn't call back as promised.
Also, a small thing, no real coffee in the room. Only 2 packages of DeCaf, yuk.
Because your restaurant doesn't give free coffee, I had to go without that morning.
Because your typical service is normally so good, these small annoyances caused me trouble, especially the lack of wireless.

Though it may not appear like much from the outside, entering therooms will be a pleasant surprise. All the comforts of a great hotel room await you. Though there was a domestic going on in the hallway at 4 a.m., the security staff were quick to respond and extinguish the situaton. And did I mention the room was great....enjoy

We recently stayed at this hotel as a stop on our drive back to the states. Our sole purpose for this hotel room was to get some sleep before we tackled the remainder of our drive the next day. Well, we were not able to accomplish that. According to the front desk the next morning there were three weddings at the hotel. This meant that we had loud drunks outside our room all night long. In the room next to us they were singing "Sweet Caroline" at the top of their lungs at midnight. I did call down to the front desk with a noise complaint and they got a bit quieter.
Weddings must be a bit different in Canada since the loud music coming from the weddings did not stop until after 3 AM. We were 5 floors above the wedding and still could hear the music. We used the really obnoxious air conditioner to try to drown out the music.
The room was OK. The carpeting was very old and worn. The beds were comfortable, but the noise didn't allow me to enjoy them.
While checking out we mentioned this ordeal to the front desk. They said we should have requested a new room. Just what we wanted to do - move our family of 4 at 1AM. We had booked this room on points, so I asked for a points refund. They said they would have their manager look into it on Monday and get back to me. Still waiting on that.
They did give us a free breakfast that I managed to stay awake long enough to eat. It was a long drive that day...

We had originally planned to stay for 2 days but extended our stay to 4 days! The hotel facilities are magnificent and the staff are very polite, friendly & helpful. Their recommendations for attractions in the area along with the wonderful service and facilities prompted us to extend our stay. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service excellent! We were able to thoroughly relax in the pool and sauna.

I rented a room to relax and be ready for a business meeting the next morning but found that the room was 75F at 2am and called the front desk despite the A/C being on max. Credit to the night staff, they offered to move me or get me a fan. What I did find, after the night housekeeping staff came over , was that the A/C filter was filthy (probably not cleaned in months), and once I did it myself I got the room to a comfortable temperature.
The night staff left a message to the GM to contact me in the morning, but he did not (neither a voicemail, a written note, nor a message on file to get him when I checked out) and I had to insist on seeing him (and wait) when I checked out. Of course he came up with a story about that being the only A/C that had been missed during maintenance, as if I believe that. He did offer to compensate me in the end, but should have been proactive and deal with the situation.

We arrived extremely late, but our rooms had been held for us, exactly as we wanted. The front desk staff was solicitous and friendly, and they made sure that we had everything we needed.
