Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This was the worst stay I've ever had at a hotel I am so happy I got this email requesting a review because this was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel the staff was rude and ignorant I don't think I saw one of them smile all except the male bartender and one of te maids the room had dirty drinking glasses in it I was placed on a floor with about 50 screaming children and I was the only one on that floor who wasn't part of that party they were running up and down the halls playing hockey I was almost knocked down a few times at one point they had a bell hop cart rolling it up and down the hallways with kids on it they woke me up at 6:30 in the morning screaming outside my door nothing was said to the adults taking care of them so I mentioned it again to te lady at the desk when I checked out and she had a very rude snotty response and said uh huh ok I couldn't believe it I'm sorry I didn't even sty to have breakfast at your hotel because I couldn't wait to get out I there I just couldn't believe the manner in which I was treated by the front desk when I ordered a martini at the bar try told me they didn't have the ingredients to make it I don't understand how an establishment with a bar and a restaurant can run out of the ingredients for a martini I will never recommend your hotel to anyone ever this is ridiculous February 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful Staff As always, I had a very restful experience during my work week stay at this hotel. The cleaning staff were very responsive to my requests for more in room coffee and also for a clean extra blanket (since the one bagged in the closet proved to be soiled when I opened it). The lone negatives were: (1) the in-room microwave was war-era as it only had 1 temperature setting and had a rotary dial for time setting, so it was very difficult to do any warm-up of food, everything was at cook temperature. And (2) in the fitness centre, one day there were absolutely no towels in the room, and when I looked for some in the pool and change room areas, there also were none. That only happened 1 day as the towels were present every other day. Anyway, other than that, a very enjoyable stay. February 26, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent as always! I stay at the Holiday Inn every time I am in Sydney. I was a little concerned when it switched from a Delta but was pleasantly surprised. The level of service remains the same. The staff are the ones that make this such a pleasant experience. It is like a home away from home. They are always willing to go the extra mile for their guests. The new restaurant has a great menu, the food is presented well and delicious. The renovated restaurant provides a panoramic view of the harbour, and is bright and clean. The lighting is very good and makes it very relaxing. The beds are great, and love the choice of pillows. I have not had any difficulty with cleanliness in any room i have stayed in. If you need assistance, it only takes a phone call and they immediately respond. Once I could not get the tv to work and within a couple minutes they had a lovely personable maintenance man at my door and solved the problem right away. The connection had come dislodged when it was being cleaned, no big deal at all. That is the type of service this hotel offers. Fast, dependable staff who apparently love their job. Looking forward to my next visit. February 3, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Restaurant Staff Makeover Needed Had a good stay - but could not get over the server working the restaurant on the first (and only) morning we went looking for breakfast... We (and other patrons) were an absolute interruption to her terrible day / life, This person should have retired from the "hospitality" industry years ago - and management should take responsibility for the quality of service being being allowed to happen We ended up cancelling the 3rd and 4th day of our stay to try our luck at another hotel in the city where rooms were more expensive, but included hot breakfast which made it cheaper overall I won't Avoid the holiday Inn, but it is very unlikely that I will try restaurant again January 6, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Great service!!! A +++ Came in late on a snowy Friday night. John that was working at the front desk had myself checked in, in no time! What made my stay was John at the front desk, at 1am he was very friendly and fast getting me everything I needed to enjoy my stay, I will be back and hope that he will be there to greet me once again!!
