Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay at the Holiday Inn Had never stayed at this Holiday Inn location prior to my most recent trip. Booked a standard 2 double bed room. Although the room was small it wasn't uncomfortable by any means. The layout and decor was quite cozy. Upon arriving at the hotel I was offered early check in which was nice. The reception staff and especially the maids were extremely friendly and helpful. I really liked how you needed your room key to go anywhere in the elevator, nice safety feature that I have not seen before. I did not avail of the bar and restaurant but it looked nice. The hotel is in a great area: attached to a Starbucks, Subway and Coras across the street, steps away from a Subway station and just a short walk to the Eaton Center. Great price and I highly recommend this hotel. May 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice The website showed the parking behind the Hotel making my arrival very easy. I entered the hotel from the parking lot below. I paid the parking as part of my hotel bill without incident. Our two day conference included meals that were well prepared and presented. Servers were friendly and courteous. I could hear voices and music from the street at night but by 11PM all seemed quiet. May 8, 2014

The desk and the bed were so close you could not walk behind someone sitting in the chair. Parking well 25 a night is not bad but after the taxes?????? were added on it became closer to 30. Would recommend you remove one bed from these rooms as they cannot comfortably hold two beds. May 7, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Service I stayed at the Holiday Inn during a business trip a few weeks ago. I got out of the office at 8:30pm and was hoping to check-in and go to my room to relax. Once I got to the hotel, I noticed that over 20 people were just standing next to the front desk. The hotel didn't have any rooms ready for their guests even though it was 8:30pm...I left them my luggage and went to dinner. I came back at around 10:30pm. Once again, I was told that they didn't have any rooms ready and offered me a voucher to get a soft drink at the hotel's bar (I felt like my father had given me a dollar and asked me to go get some ice cream so I stopped bothering him). It took another 2 hours before they finally gave me a room. It was actually a junior suite that had been available all night. They didn't want to give us rooms on high floors so they preferred to have us wait in the lobby for hours instead. I didn't even get to keep the room for the 2 following nights as they asked me to leave the room the next morning to be relocated to a standard room. Remember that they had rooms available all night but chose to have us wait for HOURS. Even though I couldn't get a room before 30 past midnight the day of my check-in, I wasn't offered anything (discount, points, upgrade, etc.). Guests were really annoyed with reason. I couldn't go to bed before 1am and had important business to conduct the next day. I travel almost every week on business and I'm on pace to stay 85 nights at hotels this year. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and won't be returning. This was the worst situation I have encountered so far when staying at a hotel. Regards. May 5, 2014

Very comfortable room. Had two restaurants attached to the hotel which meant I could eat without going out as it rained the whole time I was there! May 5, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by the worst hotel stay of my life I arrived late - around 1030pm and had to wait in a line to get registered (like 20 min) the whole hotel smelled of cigarette smoke - my room likewise - by morning, I had the cough of a smoker and a terrible headache- I had woken up ever hour through the night to take a drink of water in hopes that it would help. in the elevator, I met other guests that had a similar experience - and when I told the representative while checking out - she didn't even look up from her computer, let alone try to address my concerns! Her response was - well the last person must have smoked in the room.... May 3, 2014

This should not have happened and the hotel staff should of contacted us to tell us the mistake and changed access to our room for security reasons plus ask us if anything was missing. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The worst hotel I stayed in so far First of all I had to wait 3 hours for my room despite I had a reservation - they said the room is being cleaned which is very unsual as it was between 21:00 and 24:00. I came from Europe so I felt like I didn't sleep the whole night. Secondly the heating in the room doesn't work at all and despite of setting the air conditioning to heat (as it is cold in the room) the air flowing from the machine is even colder. I woke up in the middle of the night completely cold and when contacted the operator they say I should switch off the air conditioner as it won't heat because it is supposed to be warm outside today (however it isn't now as this is middle of the night) - anyway someone should tell me upfront that I have no option to heat the room and setting the air conditioner to heat will actually make the air even colder! I am not going to stay in this hotel ever again and don't recommend it at all. It also looks they didn't update my IHG account with this stay despite I presented the card when checking-in. We went for dinner and we have excellent service from Sharron. Loved the space in the rooms. Don't understand the comments about the size of the rooms. Will definitely be back to this location..Staff do their best to accomodate you. Had to move rooms and it was very easy..Keep up the good work!! April 22, 2014
