The hotel is located on Bay Area Blvd but it is hard to access. Signage does not adequately depict the hotel's entrance. The garbage pick up was early and extremely noisy. The lobby was being refurbished and it was noisy as well. Other than this enjoyed my stay. The lobby was almost completed and the noise from the refurbishment did not make it to my room.

Front desk person was unusual. He didn't greet me as a Rewards Club Member (which I don't have to have) but he didn't offer rewards bonus points or snack bag either (which I really enjoy). I think the one thing that bothered me the most about this guy was that during my stay THREE times when I walked up to the desk he took a phone call that came in after I walked up. He didn't ask the caller to hold, he actually stayed on the phone until his business with them was done and THEN he would turn to me and acknowledge my presence. UBER RUDE. This hotel was in a great location and has a lot of restaurants/mall very nearby. I needed an extra room while my parents visited me and the room they checked into was VERY nice. They liked it and enjoyed their stay. I was just not fond of the front desk guy that had NO PERSONALITY.

Floyd was awesome the only reason staff got two stars
Location was good
Not so good
Beds uncomfortable and wobbly
Rooms not clean
TV did not work initially and when repaired only worked for 2 hours
Have not rcvd 500 points for elite

What went well: Good location, able to get a room last minute, the gentlemen working on Monday, Jan. 12 after 11:30pm (tall guy not Raymond) was helpful, attentive and polite. He's the only reason I bumped my review of staff to a 2 star
Could be better:
Room cleaninless, please wipe down the walls
Beds very uncomroftable, the entire bed moved when I did
TV in the room did not work initially and when I not the staff got the tv working it only did work for two hours
Did not recieve my 500 Elite points.

When I'm there I like to relax and watch TV. Direct TV would be a much better cable company to accompany my TV watching. Plus I think the handicapp bathroom sare much better because of the size.

Check in was quick and friendly. I was the only one there. What they didn't do was anything extra, such as ask me if I needed anything, describe amenities, review my rate in detail (I was charged two different rates for the two nights and don't know why). That's the theme of this hotel, they are good at the minimum requirement.
Great fast food places just outside hotel. Very nice restaurant across the street. Good location for visiting customers in South Houston.
The room was large and clean. It was a good working environment with lots of outlets. It had one office chair and one very difficult to move lounge chair, which made it inconvenient for using the room to meet with associates. Just fine for single person use.
I could never get the room to a comfortable temperature and the settings wouldn't let the fan stay on so during the night I was awakened by the fan a few times. It was unusually cold, so I had to use the heat.
They had internet, but the WIFI was slow and undependable. It also had security issues with our office system and half the time I couldn't log in.
Towels and bedding were really comfortable and high quality. Great shower and bathroom. Then they used toilet paper that was so cheap and irritating that I wouldn't stay there again just for that reason. Penny wise and pound foolish.
Next time I'm in town I'll look around.

Excellent service. Clean and comfortable room.
Lobby was being remodeled, staff did all that they could to make sure that all walk ways were clear and save.

Would have liked the hotel to notify me that it was going to be under construction, then I would have booked somewhere else. The construction seemed to sour the staff since no one wanted to hang around the hotel, eat breakfast, or use the restaurant. This and with the amenities, such as the indoor pool, being closed for construction, which was the major reason I book this hotel, will make me think twice before booking here again.
