When we got there, the staff was friendly and helpful.
Room was clean and comfortable. Real nice pool and hot tub.
Max and Erma's really complemented this hotel.

GREAT Restaurant, SUPER Great Staff! GREAT ROOMS!
The Rate.... Well, I personally think the rate is a little bit high for being out in the country 1 hour from downtown Cincinnati. I think this Hotel doesn't really qualify as being a Cincinnati hotel,... in MY opinion. (53miles to downtown) So, I mean, for being out in the middle of a cornfield I would expect a slightly lower room rate. BUT, again, THAT is MY Opinion. I guess the rate is commensurate with how terrific the property and staff are???
There is an occasional low level road noise issue that isn't really much of an issue but, I have to be honest or my reviews are worthless. The little bit of road noise you MIGHT notice certainly has NEVER awakened me or really even bothered me other than I have noticed that if your room is quiet you might notice an abnormally loud truck. It is rare to notice it. But, if your TV is off and, the HVAC system in your room is NOT running at the same time as a louder truck goes by you MIGHT hear it. Regular trucks you do NOT hear.
What else can I say? I ALWAYS enjoy my stay here and I will stay here again and, if YOU are looking for a room about 53 miles from Downtown Cincinnati,... I would have to say you stayed at the WRONG place if you didn't stay HERE at THIS Holiday Inn!!
I HIGHLY recommend THIS Holiday Inn! This Holiday Inn IS one of the BEST Holiday Inn's ANYWHERE!

Walked into lobby, my son said " Dad, this hotel is nice".
Staff is friendly, room is clean, and bed is comfortable.
Indoor pool is perfect for my kids to have fun. Though my eyes were a bit burning after in the pool for an hour. I guess the pool chlorine level was high. Other than that, a great hotel to stay

We've stayed at the Wilmington property three times. Really wish the lighting in the rooms was better. Very dark. A fridge would be nice too. Overall though very nice.

We stayed in the double bed room one night and when we asked how much extra it would be to stay in a king size the next night they gave it to us free of charge! Wonderful reception, one of the most comfortable beds we've ever had. Very quiet, maid service wonderful. Planning to stay again!

Regarding the room - it was freezing. Maintenance was sent but did nothing except check the temperature with his light and said it was 70-72. When you turned the fan on and temp. up = still cold air. I had requested he explain to the front desk, which he did not. Other than freezing all was great.

We had a little hic-up booking the shop and stay but Cindi at the front desk hooked us up and and upgraded us for our 23rd anniversary ! The past few years we have done the shop & stay as our anniversary get-a-way. With four kids even school shopping for them without them is a treat. We love your facility and will see you again next year !!!!!

I can't say enough positive things about this location. The staff - food and room were outstanding. We also stayed here for a Expo attached to the Holiday Inn which made our stay even more convenient.
I have stayed at over 100 IHG locations and this is one of the best!

Based on an experience at a Holiday Inn Express in Louisiana where we booked on line, called the day we were traveling to let them know we were going to arrive late and even providing them a credit card number to charge the room in advance to hold our room to sleep 5, only to have that room given away. We decided to call and make this reservation.
As we were going to be driving for 8-9 hours prior to arrival we were looking for one of the Jacuzzi Suites, again to be able to sleep 5 people. I asked on the phone how can they guarantee that my room will not be given away (this was the 800 number, not the actual hotel) and I was told that they don't give away booked rooms. I pointed out that they do give away booked rooms,
When we arrived to the hotel, they indeed did not give away our room, however, their housekeeping staff somehow turned on the motor to the Jacuzzi, without water in the tub, and burned up the motor. Fortunately Chris at the front desk did a great job apologizing, and taking care of the problem, he put us in the largest room they had available (which ironically was the same type of room we requested a year ago when we booked at the other Holiday Inn Express)
Despite not getting the room that we requested, and not having access to a Jacuzzi in the room. Chris did offer to allow us to use the pool and Jacuzzi in the pool area after hours if we desired. The rest of the staff was very pleasant as well. Other than the room not being what we requested, we did enjoy our stay.

I love this place. I have stayed here twice and will stay again. The staff is so friendly and willing to help.
For example: They upgraded the in-room coffee makers to the ones that use K-cups. I tried to brew a cup and the machine didn't work. I called the front desk as soon as I realized my coffee maker wasn't working. Within thirty minutes they had come up, determined the machine was hopelessly clogged and replaced it with a new one.
I guess there are people who don't know what K-cups are and they pour the grounds into the opening where the water goes. This clogs the machine.
This kind of service and attention to detail is shown all the time.
I look forward to my next stay at this wonderful hotel.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Poor front desk service and staff attitude
This was my fourth stay at this hotel and all the time I checked in I did not receive a pleasing attitude from the front desk staff. The front desk lady this time was very rude and she did not even recognize my priority club membership and my platinum status. No smile was on her face it seemed like I bothered her by checking in. She did not even tell me where the elevators/stairs are, what is the password, when and where is breakfast. She just handed me keys and returned back to her desk. Max & Ermas restaurent inside is good, food is great but service is little slow. Specially the breakfast serve time is 20 min after you place your order.
I'll definitely not stay over there in future. Although the rooms and hotel atmosphere is nice.

We had a very nice room. Wish there had been a microwave oven in the room but lived without. The Roberts Center is really nice in that you do not have to leave the complex to go to your room, eat and see the music venue. All staff were very friendly. Looking forward to coming back in November to see the bluegrass bands.

Did not shower first day -- diverter on nozzle was completely frozen up. Was repaired by a considerate staff member.
I still am not completely enamored with the Max & Irmas part of the facility. Very slow service at first breakfast (3/16). Evening dining was ok, tho.

Amenities are great especially considering the area, the service personnel of the hotel however are less than adequate. On a recent business stay I was kept up at night (until 11 pm) by children running rampant in the hallways and rooms on either side of me only to be told by the front desk that there was a "gymnastic meet in town". Ummmm, don't care?! I paid as much for my room as they did and wanted peace and quiet as I have to rise early and get in late.
