Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great room and service Great modern hotel with good food and friendly staff. The only slight issue is the hotel is very near to the main A303 road so there is always the distant hum of traffic but it is not too loud to impact on sleep. I would stay again. September 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by what a treat! we had wanted to visit Stonehenge for some time as we had always been too early on our trips down to Cornwall. This holiday was marred by awful accommodation so we left a day early and checked in at the Holiday Inn as we knew it would be clean and we could also visit Stonehenge. Our experience was excellent. The room was beautifully clean and met all our needs. We asked for firm pillows and had them within minutes. The view over the Stonehenge Man was brilliant and the surrounding area. We spent some time in the bar and had dinner and breakfast there. All very good value. We enjoyed our stay very much and will have more weekend stays there to explore the surrounding area knowing we will be comfortable and well looked after. September 27, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No tea I recently stayed in a holiday in Birmingham which was the reason I chose Holiday Inn again. We'd had a long day and desperate for a rest and to relax in our room. To our dismay there was no complimentary tea or coffee in the room. Looked in every cupboard just in case it was hiding. Very very disappointed. We then had to go down to the bar to order a pot of tea. Although the room was clean it felt that it wasn't finished, quarter of a loo roll, one sheet of paper on the writing pad. No bin liner in the bin. My sister had never stayed before and I was extolling the virtues of the Holiday Inn, she was so disappointed. Breakfast was fantastic though. Please can you tell me why you do not have complimentary tea and coffee. September 26, 2014

Our room was very clean and would have been comfortable for a couple but with the sofabed opened for the children, the room was too cramped. It was difficult to get the kettle out of its cupboard. There was also a supplement charged for each child over 12 which made the stay poor value. September 25, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Modern hotel let down by service in restaurant Modern hotel, very clean Beds a bit hard Service in restaurant was very poor letting down the quality of the food that was excellent Telephone kept turning itself onto loudspeaker during the first night waking us up to the sound of dial tone twice - was left unplugged for remainder of the stay Door keys stopped working on the second day - not a major issue but annoying when there was a queue in reception of people checking in September 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room lovely staff I have stayed at this hotel several times and always enjoy the cleanliness and comfort of the room and bathroom and the breakfast is superb. We were a bit too warm in the night and did not think to put on the air conditioning as they are usually too noisy at night. I discovered in the morning that this one was not too noisy and so next time will put it on. Always a great experience at Holiday Inn Salisbury!! September 20, 2014

The only place to watch television was from on the bed. Not a comfortable position. Why do hotels only provide one easy chair in a double room? If I need to stay near Salisbury again I shall be looking for somewhere else. September 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great place to stay Its the staff and the way they interact and welcome guests that sets this hotel above the competition. Its a really friendly place, the rooms are comfortable and cleaned by experts. The restaurant is great and breakfast is served with a smile. The only drawback is the proximity of the construction site over the road. Although its been very interesting to watch the progress of the build over several monthes (The site can be seen from the bar and restaurant) I have never actually seen any activuty on the site. Its obvious that the site management are carefull not to cause any noise or disruption during early mornings and late afternoons. I will be disappointed when its all complete ! September 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great place to break the journey to the West Country I picked this hotel because it was pet-friendly, and for its location just off the A303 as we were travelling to Devon and wanted to break the journey with an overnight stop. The staff were very friendly and courteous, mad a great fuss of our dog, and were very helpful and efficient. The location meant that we didn't have to divert miles off our planned route and were able to make a good start the next morning refreshed and refuelled by the hotel breakfast. One minor piece of constructive criticism would be that, for a hotel which is advertised as pet-friendly, it would be useful to have a designated dog-exercise area outside, or at least a suitably located dog-waste bin somewhere in the vicinity outside. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Special Event I had previously stated that it was my wife's birthday and was hoping that this would be acknowledged by the management. This did not happen. We were completely ignored by the Manager and had to say good morning first. I still believe that guests are treated in this hotel differently based on their ethnic origin! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location and very clean Hotel was very clean and tidy. restaurant was good and breakfast was better than most although a bit pricey. Problem with room keys not working after we had checked in and one did not work following day. Both corrected quickly by staff but a bit inconvenient, especially on check in. Also as one room had only one occupant why did I appear to have been charged for two breakfasts. Bill was wrong as were were incorrectly charged for two dinners when we had only had one. This was a mistake which had been made in the restaurant which we had pointed out at the time. August 27, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Over priced for the level of quality As a business we get very good rates for stays however if I had to pay the full list price I would not be at all happy with the quality of service, food, comfort of bed or amenities. In other words value for money is definitely not available here. The staff need to up their game to be on a par with other Holiday Inns I have stayed in. August 23, 2014
