Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BrianAW Good location and very clean
Hotel was very clean and tidy. restaurant was good and breakfast was better than most although a bit pricey.
Problem with room keys not working after we had checked in and one did not work following day. Both corrected quickly by staff but a bit inconvenient, especially on check in.
Also as one room had only one occupant why did I appear to have been charged for two breakfasts.
Bill was wrong as were were incorrectly charged for two dinners when we had only had one. This was a mistake which had been made in the restaurant which we had pointed out at the time.

You will feel so fortunate to have found this hotel. It is a veritable oasis in the wilderness. Very professional and helpful staff. Thrill to the free breakfast and fine dining choices througout the day. The architecture is inspired and you will feel great to be staying here. A quiet and sumptuous bargain.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Satinking Over priced for the level of quality
As a business we get very good rates for stays however if I had to pay the full list price I would not be at all happy with the quality of service, food, comfort of bed or amenities. In other words value for money is definitely not available here. The staff need to up their game to be on a par with other Holiday Inns I have stayed in.

After a single disappointing stay last time I am pleased to see that it is once again back to the standard I had always experienced. Room comfort and service all good, the only down side is the highly scented agents used for cleaning as this impacts on my wife as she struggles to breathe until medication switches on. It would be helpful if unscented agents etc are used as this is a growing issue for certain people.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Keppie13 Nice hotel, lacking any sort of customer service
Love this Holiday Inn, it's relatively new so rooms/decor are still fresh and roomy. This is the second time we've stayed as a family, getting a great deal on booking the executive room with breakfast in advance. On both occasions I could not fault the room or housekeeping staff, however the staff at the front desk are particularly unpleasant; specifically the supervisor, Angie, who looked like a smile might crack her face and has a long way to go in winning any customer service/satisfaction awards. I can confidently say that this was not only my experience, as I overheard an elderly woman complaining to her husband about the same supervisor on the desk on check in/out as well as the group travelling with us. Unfortunately, on our most recent stay we also found the restaurant staff at breakfast to be just as uninterested in our experience, with one lady placing the teapot on the table with such force that she chipped the screen surround on my iphone...not that there would be any point in highlighting to the grumpy waitress or even grumpier front desk supervisor....I would stay again, purely for the room, however don't expect anything in the way of customer service/experience, you will be greatly disappointed.

We were visiting Stonnehenge and we were delighted to find that this hotel was just along the road and so easy to find. The hotel is modern, spacious and clean. The staff were very welcoming and gave excellent service from reception to the restaurant. We found the food to be of excellent quality too and extremely enjoyable.
Would definately recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in the area. The hotel is also only 15minutes to Salisbury - another great place to visit.

A very relaxing environment for the business and leisure traveller. Dining is easy and there are plenty of options for those of us who want to avoid making their figure any fuller than it already is. The staff are friendly, helpful and well skilled. Very highly recommended.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Metalman4 Cramped room for a family of four
The hotel is well situated has a modern feel and the staff were welcoming and friendly especially in the restaurant which was good value. The whole experience was let down by the size of the room. We booked a room for two adults and two children and were allocated a small room with a double bed and a sofa-bed. When extended the end of the sofa-bed butted up against the desk preventing access to the desk and cupboards containing essential equipment (e.g. hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities) and one side of the sofa-bed butted up against the end wall and prevented effective operation of the air conditioning unit. You could only access the sofa-bed from one side and there was only a small gangway between the side of the sofa-bed and the adjacent side of the double bed.

What Solstice Park lacks is a gym and/or swimming pool. You are fairly isolated, but in an excellent spot and Solstice Park is only going to get larger. Therefore, you need some other facilities to make it a must stay hotel.

Great location close to Stonehenge, also lots of food options in the area and large free parking lot too. Great sized room compared to most in England. Didn't get to try the dining services, but free internet and breakfast were a plus too!

We used this hotel to break our journey to the West Country, it was perfect, friendly staff, large very quiet room, comfortable bed and we both slept well. The only problem was the air conditioning that failed overnight causing us to wake early, this was reported to reception and enabled us to continue our journey ahead of the crowds.
Thank you for another great Holiday Inn stay.

The air conditioning in our room quit working on night one; there was no one available to fix it so we were given a fan which did not really solve the problem. We were told it was fixed the next day but it quit working the second night and the only solution was a fan. On the third day we were switched to a new room, but that was after two miserable nights!! Not a happy camper. Either the night staff needs to be able to fix things or we should have been switched to a new room the second day.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lynnie57 Comfortable bed and lovely big towels
Overall stay was very good, staff friendly, rooms clean and comfortable, lovely deep bath and great towels. Heated towel rail didn't work and was loose on the wall, pillows flat and not very comfortable, but neither spoiled the overall stay. Downside was bar closed at 12 without warning, regardless of the fact that there were many guests still socialising in the lounge - on querying this, a fellow guest was informed that bar closed at the managers discretion and did not have to stay open even when residents wished to continue drinking... bit of a shock, especially to american group of visitors.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by IaninLondon Nice hotel stuck out in middle of nowhere. And no fridge in room.
This hotel exists solely due to the 4 mile proximity of Stonehenge, but there are so many other more interesting places you could stay in nearby towns. The hotel is a 30 minute walk from the unlovely village of Amesbury, stuck out on dual carriageway services, opposite a huge new warehouse distribution centre being built, with only Harvester, Pizza Hut and KFC as your out-of-hotel dining options.
The rooms are actually quite small for a modern hotel and most annoyingly most rooms do not even have a fridge. The restaurant and bar are very good, with excellent food and service, but ultimately you are paying a high price for a location that is not needed; Stonehenge is still a 10 minute drive away and you could stay in far more appealing locations or towns not much further away. Good for an overnight stay but that's about it.
