Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No Hot Water While on a business trip last week our company chose to stay at the new Overland Park Holiday Inn. We have stayed here before and I only have one complaint. For the two times weve stayed here, neither time did the hotel have Hot Water, and we were there during the Winter. None of my co-workers were able to shower in comfort while there for the week. After a hard days work in the Cold winter weather, the last thing you want to do is look forward to a cold shower. This cannot be stressed enough, the water situation must be resolved or we will be selecting another hotel to stay at while in town. 23 February 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Noise Issues For a newer hotel the noise level is terrible. You can hear every word being said in the next room and if someone is above you it sounds like they are going to come through the ceiling when they walk. If you do not want to sleep, stay here. The breakfast and the attendant in the morning was very good. The gentleman working at the front desk also were very friendly. The problem is in the construction of the hotel itself. I didn't sleep at all. 23 February 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express - Same "just fine" stay I stay on average 70 nights a year in hotels, mostly Holiday Inn Express for business. While the breakfast is nice to have, the chain really needs to revamp this. The scrambled eggs typically are either soupy, or taste like chalk. The omelettes are often cold, and not cooked all the way through, or chewy and gross. The bread is often stale and old. The fruit, and juice machines are typically fresh and good, so that is a win! As a whole I really like Holiday Inn Express, and I really like IHG Rewards club, so I keep coming back. I would just be much happier if they could do something to improve the breakfast. My only complaint specific to Overland Park was the heating/cooling system. I couldn't get my room warm enough during the day, or cool enough at night (I like to sleep in a cold room and the heat wouldn't turn down enough despite the thermostat being set to 60). 23 February 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overland Park Nice location, large room and reasonably quite. We did wake to some noisy customers checking in during the wee hours of the morning. The exterior flood lights did leak into the room a little but not enough to disturb our sleep. Satellite TV was excellent and the Wi-fi worked without a hitch. Our only complaint was the late start to breakfast (7:00 am) on Saturday which we had to skip and visit IHOP just to get an early start on our trip. 22 February 2015
