Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible I am not familiar with the Atlanta area so when I had made the reservation, I had no idea what I was getting into. The room was not nice. The bathroom looked dirty and the beds were old and uncomfortable. I had tried to see if I could transfer my reservation to another Holiday Inn Express and Suites but the manager on duty NEVER returned the call so I was stuck with the room since it was after 6 pm when I arrived. That should be changed because when a person is from out of town, they may not know the condition of the room or the area in which the hotel is located. I woke up not rested and with a back that was stiff I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. July 30, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Charged more for room than was quoted. Made my reservations in May. Was quoted a price and given a confirmation number. At check in the price was $40.00 higher than quoted and they would not honor the original price. No other rooms available in the area, so I had to take this room. Was very upset with the managment for not honoring the original price. Will NEVER stay at a Holiday Inn Express again. This really put a damper on my whole weekend. Not a very good way to conduct business or keep customers. July 15, 2013

The accommodations were clean and neat with the most comfortable bedding. We would especially like to thank Andrea for the awesome job she does. Her ability to handle herself in whatever situations that may have arrived along with her pleasant personality is a great asset to your company. We also want to thank Amanda ( the Manager) and the other members of the team for a job well done. The food was great and the dining area was kept clean at all times. We had an awesome stay and will definately reccommend this hotel to others, as well as come back to visit agian. July 14, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room cleanup got lost We asked for our room to be cleaned later in the day. We returned late in the evening and nothing had been done. We did get fresh towels but no cleanup, although the front desk had told us this would happen. We also tried to use the room phone to call the desk and found that the phone was unplugged. In fact, there were so many things plugged into one spot right at the bed linens, it looked like a fire just waiting to happen. Breakfast is fine if you like carbs, but the protein choices (were those eggs?) left something to be desired. The coffee was pretty good, though. July 13, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by June 28th, 2013 Would not recommend this hotel. Our room was hot upon entering. The floor wet in front of the A/C. Due to our long day and exhaustion, we managed to fall asleep but awoke a couple hours later in a hot room. I called the front desk, they offered to move us to another room on the same floor. We did move and the room we moved to was hot upon entering also. It took the A/C a couple of hours but it did manage to cool the room down. Would not stay here myself again nor recommend it to anyone else. July 4, 2013

I am in the area quite a bit, so I don't really have to check how knowledgeable the staff is, but I expect they would be completely willing to help if it was needed. The facility is clean and my main downgrade comes from the barely okay workout room. June 21, 2013

After checking other motels in the area I realized they were not for me. Nasty unsafe, and uncomfortable. After checking in at this Holiday Inn I knew I had found the right place. The staff went above, and beyond to make me feel wanted, and comfortable. The rooms were clean, fresh, and very comfortable. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location and Friendly Staff Close to Emory Hospital and easy access to downtown and Buckhead. 10 minutes from Maggiano's near Lenox Square. Easy access to I85. The staff was nice and cheerful. I enjoyed the other guests too at the beer and appetizer happy hour. This is a good value, not the cheapest. Definately worth it and will be returning. May 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable hotel, attentive staff. My wife and I stayed here for our son's graduation from GT and a little vacation in Atlanta. Like most HIE hotels it is clean and comfortable with the typical breakfast. On Saturday the cinnamon rolls got a bit dried out by 9:00 and the choices of yogurt flavors were a bit limited. Our only other complaint is that the exercise bike in the fitness center was not working. Aside from those two minor issues we had a great time. The property is easily accessed directly off of I85, just ten minutes from midtown Atlanta. We would definitely stay here again. May 13, 2013

My mother had previously stayed at the hotel and enjoyed it. The hotel is in a good location and easy access to Atlanta. Kaylee was efficient in checking us in and sweet as could be. The rooms are clean and the beds were comfortable. It worked perfectly for our needs. We will visit again when we come back to Atlanta! and we'll send our friends! April 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best nights of sleep! We were in town for my husband's knee surgery so we needed to stay close to the doctor for two nights. Our room was on the top floor, right next to the elevator, and faced the back side of the property. We were afraid the elevator would keep us up all night but the room we were in was virtually sound proof. We didn't hear the street noises or the HUGE storm that moved through the night. We both sleep really well because of the gentle hum of the fan/AC unit and the bed was really comfortable. Both days I was there I used the gym. The incline is broken on the treadmill but it didn't stop me from getting a few great walk/runs in each day. There was a large group of students there and they seemed to enjoy the huge whirlpool room (the gym and whirpool are separated by a huge window#. There are tons of restaurants that are just a few miles away but only a McDonalds and Waffle House within walking distance. The breakfast buffet is great for the average person #there isn't a single item there for the healthier person - unless you're lucky to get a banana before they disappear). This is the third time we've stayed at this location and it has been logistically great no matter what we're in town doing. April 17, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant Surprise I was coming down to Atlanta to meet friends, go to a concert, etc. When I went online to find a location, I was surprised to find this one on Clairmont. As it was the perfect location, I chose it. Everything was excellent - the room, breakfast, staff. I just wished the hot tub was available a little later on weekends, maybe midnight or 1am. The other surprise was how quite it was, considering it is on a main street and right off the interstate. Definitely would consider stating here again. March 31, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Felt like home This is my 2nd stay at this Holiday Inn. The staff are very friendly; to the point where it feels like you have known them for a long time. The housekeepers were professional and friendly as well. The rooms are exceptionally clean but also the entire hotel is clean as well, including the elevators and the halls. The only negative for us was that they do not accommodate dogs. We have stayed at other Holiday Inn Expresses which allow large dogs. If they asked for documentation for shots and no fleas, perhaps they could then make this accommodation as well! When in Atlanta with our dog, we have to stay at another hotel which makes that allowance. March 1, 2013

We love our handicap access room with the roll-in shower. The bed is extremely comfortable, the room is beautiful, and the staff is awesome--especially the night security guard. Thank you so much for always keeping us in your prayers. We can't wait to come back. :) February 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay.....My new favorite hotel in Atlanta. Hands down the best Holiday Inn Express experience I have ever had. I usually stay in Buckhead area when visiting Atlanta but for various reasons I was not able to on this last minute trip to Atlanta. Since this hotel was a little bit outside of the Buckhead area I was used to, I was concerned about the quality of the hotel. However I know realize I was totally wrong to judge this hotel. It is right off on I-85 so it’s very easy to get to from the Interstate. The hotel has plenty of free parking, well-lighted lot, and looks very nice inside and out. I loved the huge HD TV with the endless number of satellite channels. But the best part of my HIE experience was the employees. Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly, helpful, and kind. I mostly dealt with Amanda (I think?) and she was one of the best front desk managers I have ever met. She took her job very professionally and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable not only for me, but every person who walked through the front doors. They had a minor key issue when I arrived and they had to reset all the locks. So she personally called every room to let the guests know that they would need to have their cards re-programmed at the front desk. I even saw her walk up to rooms and hand-deliver a few new keycards to a guest. When I needed to add an extra night on to my stay, she allowed me to stay in the same room and got me a great rate that was even lower than what was advertised online. Every time I walked in the front lobby she asked me if there was anything I needed and was as friendly as could be. She is a shining example of great customer service. So needles to say, I’ll definitely be back to this HIE next time I’m in Atlanta. Forget Buckhead, the HIE on Clairmont Road is where I’ll be staying from now on. January 24, 2013

Otherwise the hotel lived up to the standards I expect from Holiday Inn properties. The value of the room considering the location to Midtown was good. January 21, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst HIE ever Stayed here one night before going to the aquarium with my family. Clerk was busy chit-chatting with friend as we approached to check in. Lots of noise in hallway late into the night. Got up the next morning to prepare for the day and no hot water! Then entered breakfast room at 8:45. They were out of almost everything. Asked attendant if they had any milk and she Rudely responded that they were out. Very disappointed. January 16, 2013

Front desk employees were rude and not very inviting. Hotel smelled of different odors daily including smoke. Internet was terrible and wifi didn't work with no help from desk staff. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Confortable room I always come back to Holiday Inn Express because I know exactly what to expect when it comes to my room and accomodations. The rooms are very consistant from location to location and since I travel a lot thorough out the year, I have come to appreciate that the rooms are similar from property to property. It makes my stay more comfortable because I am familiar with the layout of my room and don't always feel like I am staying in a hotel. I know what to expect when I arrive and appreciate the breakfast every morning. The staff were friendly and did theri best to make sure we had what we needed. This is not the best location but it was close to our event and the price was reasonable. I have stayed at several Holiday Inn Express locations in the Atlanta area and although I do have a favorite, I would stay at this location again if my business is in this area. Travel in Atlanta is a nightmare so you want to stay in a location close to where you are conducting business whenever possible. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly but this location does have some room for improvement. I did not take advantage of the business center. The free breakfast was nice. The best part of my stay was the fact that I knew what to expect before I ever arrived. They also took our reservation on short notice which was a plus. December 17, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice with Concerns This is a nice hotel in a convenient location. The upgrade rooms are spacious and comfortable. A frequent Holiday inn chain guest might question some of the inconsistencies of this hotel compared to other HI properties. Be aware this property does not have guest laundry facilities. In addition guests are required to enter the hotel only through the main lobby doors. Other policies at this hotel hint at security issues without directly affecting guests. There are plenty of HI properties in the Atlanta area, and this one would be worthy of consideration. December 16, 2012
