Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to par with other HIE My husband and I travel 3-4 times/year and always stay in the Holiday Inn Express as we have found that they have all been reasonably priced and are of high quality. We no longer think that after staying at the Newport, Ky hotel. When we got tin the room there were dead bugs in the bath tub. The front desk clerk could not answer our question as to the policy if we checked out one day early. Every time we left our room in the morning we were yelled at from sown the hall by the maid whether we were checking out or not. The floors allowed for a lot of noise from movement above and so it was a noisy and unrelaxing stay. would not recommend it. September 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and many improvements For business purposes, I had stayed here a few times earlier in the year. Since my last stay four months ago there were many improvements mattresses and pillows, new towels, much cleaner pool, the wi-fi had been upgraded so no unexpected disconnections, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. What's not to like? I'll be back! August 31, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff, decent pool, clean Good check-in, room well air-conditioned, nice and warm pool, food as expected, room clean. Had a little trouble getting the shower curtain to stay put, and tub drained the wrong way. Hotel excellently located - close to trolley to transport you to tourist areas. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Room Odor We had requested a handicap room and when we entered the room we were aware of a strong odor of cigarette smoke - apparently from the carpet and wallpaper. When we called the front desk we were told that the building had been a smoking hotel in the past and was now all non smoking. Also that the building was to be renovated in the near future. We were able to move into another room that was odor free and from then our stay was great ! August 24, 2015
