Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great overnight stay, except for noisy heater Everything met or exceeded expectations except for a noisy heater fan. After driving for nearly 11 hours, I wanted a good night's sleep, but when the outside temp dropped, sound sleep was not possible. The heater's fan awoke me every 30-45 minutes when it kicked on. I was told all the heating units were being removed and repaired individually, and obviously my room had not yet made the cut. All other aspects of the Hotel and service were very good or exceptional. December 11, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by “What a find!” I live in Charlotte, NC and I took a day trip to the SC State Museum in Columbia, SC so my 7 year old son can see the dinosaur exhibit. I choose this hotel because I'm an IHG member and they had a great rate on-line. They were also close to Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC. What a find! They have a newly renovated hotel. The lobby is very new deco and hip but it still has a Palmetto State appeal! I requested a room with a pullout couch for my son and a king size bed for me. I received EXACTLY what I booked! The room was very spacious, the bathroom was nice and well laid out and the sleeper couch area was perfect for my 7 year old. We arrived early and I were able to check in. The front desk staff was very accommodating, friendly and professional. I merely put our bags in the room and some water and Capri Sun in the fridge we were off to the museum. When we arrived back after 6pm we went to our room to catch our breath and then go out to eat. It took us no time to get to the hotel from the museum and it took us no time to get to the restaurant on Two Notch Road near the Clemson Road exit from the hotel; so it is very conveniently located. When I got back in the room for the night, I noticed a matter with the pillows in the bedroom but the staff was quick to apologize, accept responsibility and correct the matter immediately. They even added points to my IHG membership and I thought that was a very nice touch! The items in the fridge were nice and cold and we found everything in our room as we had left them! At the end of the night, I took a nice shower and the shower was awesome! The water flowed and it was wonderfully hot! So relaxing before bed! Great showerhead in their bathrooms and I loved the fact that the room had both a tub AND shower for options. I woke up to a yummy breakfast and they accommodated a late check-out. While checking out I had a request and housekeeping was so kind, very polite and helped me with the matter. I was wise to select the location because it took me less than 40 minutes to get to Rock Hill and I was back home in Charlotte in no time! Excellent service, professional staff , yummy breakfast and conveniently located! What a find! November 20, 2014
