Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice option to the holiday inn in Oshawa I wanted to book a room at the HI in Oshawa. Unfortunatly they were booked. Found this place as an option. Well located off the highway. You have a good variaty of restaurants around or close to the hotel. As far as comparing it to another HI express, I would say the same or better. Keep up the good work. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to Relax and Recharge Stayed here for 3 days in late May for a weekend away to do some main street shopping in the nearby small towns. Stayed in a suite and the room was great. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. The housekeeping staff were excellent. Each day the room was clean, tidy and exceeded our expectations! Kudos to the housekeeping staff! The breakfast selection was good. While coffee and tea were available in the room, it would be nice to have coffee and tea available 24 hours a day in the dining room. As a tea drinker hot water from the unit in the dining room is superior to tea made from a coffee maker or microwave. Certainly a minor point that in no way affected our ability to enjoy a great stay. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for some time away to relax and recharge and we will stay here again. Thanks for the great stay and service :) May 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff above and beyond While the lone desk clerk seemed totally overwhelmed at times, creating long waits for items, such as a network cable because the WiFi didn't work, the hotel manager and housekeeping went above and beyond when they mailed to me, in the states, all my shirts that I had left behind in a dresser drawer. She boxed them up, took them to the post office and mailed them to me. Things like that make me want to come back. Thank you. May 29, 2013

It is one of the newer hotels in the corridor and the staff always go out of their way to make you feel at home when you stay. I always look forward to my stays here. You should too. April 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Two issues, but otherwise a good choice A comfortable, clean, convenient Holiday Inn Express, with pleasant front desk staff. The breakfast was good although the bread products (particularly the bagels) were stale. Biggest problem however was a flaky, slow Internet connection which effectively prevented me from working in the hotel room, as the slowness of the connection and the frequent crashes prevented my VPN from working. I tried both the wireless and used a Cat5 cable, with no success, and in conversation with other guests found that they also had issues, so it wasn't just me or my computer. If they managed to get a consistent, stable high-speed internet, I would recommend this hotel, but not otherwise. Thanks for the opportunity for feedback! April 5, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unusuall Gaff Normally this Hotel gets 4 or 5 stars. This time the sheets on one of the beds had a variety of fresh stains. I had to stay a lot of nights to earn enough Platnum Points for this stay. I told a few people at the front desk. Have not heard back about any rebate or other. This was not fun to discover.The people are usually Great March 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall a Great Hotel I just came back from staying 4 nights at this Holiday Inn Express. Overall it was a great hotel experience. The hotel and my room were very clean. The hotel was quiet for my whole stay. The staff were very pleasant to deal with. I did not use the pool or the gym, but I did take a peak, and they also seemed clean and in good working order. The breakfast area was very visually appealing and well laid out. The food was good, and the serving area was clean and tidy. The only small problem I had was with the WiFi (as noted in others reviews of this hotel). It was very slow in my room, and in speaking to others, they advised that their WiFi was slow as well. Nevertheless, next time I am in the area, I will be staying at this hotel for sure. March 14, 2013
