Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice staff I have nothing but good things to say about the staff at this hotel. They were as accommodating and helpful as they could be but the rooms left quite a bit to be desired. Try putting a 300 pound man on a pull out sofa with a 1 inch lumpy mattress and supporting springs missing. So we stuck it out for the first night (they were sold out), complained and on the second day they moved us to another room with, you guessed it, another pull out sofa. Management should try opening these things once in a while. Lay down on one once in a while. They are NOT acceptable for adults to sleep on. A six-year-old maybe, but not adults. Maybe if the hotel provided a memory foam topper it could be acceptable, but these sofas are so old and rickety that it was not funny. My son had to try and sleep in one position to avoid falling or collapsing the bed. Not good at all. Needless to say we changed hotels after the second night to a hotel that had 2 real beds in the room. May 26, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staff not very knowledgable on hotel operations On this visit and a previous visit two weeks prior, twice the early call time was wrong. One was 15 minutes off and the other 30 minutes off. On day 3 of my stay, I wanted to have the hotel van take me over to the Branch Ave Metro Station (about 1/2 mile). Driver was supposed to start at 7:00 AM. He called in and said he would be 10 minutes late because he was stuck in traffic. Well, that 10 minutes could be 20 or 30 mintues. I ended up walking to the Metro Station with two pieces of luggage. May 26, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value and Location We thought it was a great hotel, awesome staff, great location, great value. We felt very welcomed there. You could stay in DC and get a lot less for more. Great shuttle service brought us to and from Metro Stop and National Harbor. All the drivers were fabulous. Great breakfasts too. Albeit needed a bit more variety for the guests staying longer than a day or two. Now if your the type who wants something and loves to complain about everything you need to go somewhere else May 20, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Updating We stayed here for 6 days and in those 6 days, had to change rooms 3 times. The first room had a hole in the bathroom ceiling and was leaking water all over the floor. The second room, when we came back from touring for the day we had no running water in our room. Onto our third room, this room was ok but the next 2 nights our key cards wouldn't work. Finally after the third time of going to the front desk they gave us new cards. In all of the rooms, beds were ok but the firm and soft pillows are a joke. If they advertise that they have this option, they should actually have it. My "firm" pillow was softer than the "soft" pillow. Would not recommend this hotel at all. May 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Experience The staff at this location are great. I found them friendly and efficient. The entire hotel is clean and well maintained. I would not hesitate to return. A very special feature is that they are prepared to drive guests to the nearby National Harbour where there are restaurants and great shops. The same shuttle service is available for drop off and pick up at the nearby Metro subway station. This shuttle service saves a lot on worry over where to park as well as the expense of paying for parking. I also want to thank the staff that drove my wife and I several times to both of the above places during our 4 day stay. They were always cheerful and very helpful. Keep up the good work! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Day and Night Staff was courteous, although I was not greeted as a IHG member for whatever reason. The room was spacious and very clean. The best part was of the experience was the shuttle to the Metro station. The driver from Sierra Leone was courteous and charming. I like a clean hotel bathroom and it did not disappoint. Overall, an "A". A+ if greeted as a member of the IHG rewards program. Stay here. April 23, 2014

I have stayed there once before, and like last time, there were groups of pre-teens and teens for various tournaments, tours, and competitions. All of the staff were extremely courteous, accommodating and overall exceptional with any and all situations, no matter how frustrated a customer became with their issue. I would highly recommend this hotel for customer satisfaction. April 16, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by neat, comfortable room, great breakfast excellent expanded continental breakfast clean room with excellent housekeeping very reliable shuttle service to Metro station can hear traffic on Beltway if room is facing that way It is not a 5 minute walk to Metro station as they claim. More like 10-15 minutes. left two jackets in room after check-out. Very accommodating. They promised to Fed-Ex them to me. Still waiting. Arrived at 1:00PM for check-in. Wouldn't let me until 3PM Requested 1st floor when made reservation. At check-in, they had no record of this. Ended up on second floor but elevators worked fine. Lots of school groups staying there. All well-behaved but they clogged up the breakfast area each morning. Don't attempt to drive into downtown DC from hotel: very difficult. Take Metro instead. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel / Terrible cancellation policy Had a great stay, staff were all very friendly. But charging my credit card the full amount immediately after booking and then I find out that you have no cancellation policy. Co-worker had a family emergency and had to change plans 2 days out, he called 30 hours before arrival and reservation was cancelled but booking/reservation agency still charged him full 3 nights stay and as of now still refusing to refund anything due to current policy on not accepting any cancellations. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by the worst ever This was our first time visiting the D.C. area and we were very excited. When we arrived the young man that checked us in was very curtious and helpful he was also the desk clerk that checked us out. We get to our rooms to relax before going out and discovered our bed was not clean (hair, spots and trash). So disgusting!!! For some reason the television did not work. We called the front desk and went to the front desk no one came to the room until late that night when we were in the bed. The night desk clerk was not knowledgeable....she just didnt have any answers to anything. They also charged my card more than what they were suppose. The only reason I gave a fair for staff is because the gentleman that checked me in and out had great customer service with all that wae going on. I will never stay at that place ever again. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable The hotel was nice…kind of tucked away so my GPS had a hard time finding it. I got there kind of early after driving all night and asked to check in I was told the hotel was sold out so it wasn't possible however Im pretty sure this was not the case….After attempting to call the help desk because Im an IHG member suddenly a room became available….outside of that 20min of frustration the rest of my stay was pleasant….the bed was not very comfortable. The staff was ok as was the breakfast…Id stay again but Id hope for better service when I do… November 6, 2013

The other four times I used the shuttle it was on time. The internet would not work on my IPad in my room, but worked in the lobby. I slept good and the room had a frig and microwave. October 4, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice staff but location was not the most scenic My overall experience was ok. I was a bit disappointed as the rooms were a bit dated. I stayed a Holiday Inn Express recently within the last month and the rooms were bigger and a lot more comfortable and I paid less than I did here for the night. I was also disappointed and found it inappropriate that 15 min before breakfast was over the dining attendant turn out the lights while people were still eating. The location around the hotel was under construction so it looked abandon. I would not recommend this location but I would recommend holiday Inn express as it is a good chain in general.
