comfortable room, the air-conditioning can easily be adjusted to your preferred temperature. the breakfast selection can be expanded more and I wish the egg is not salty. staying in Carpenteria where not much of a place to explore, I would prefer to have more variety of TV show. the room is perfect for just watching TV and getaway from everyday routine.

Clean and updated rooms, nice pool, courteous staff. It is about a mile away from access to the beach. The beaches here are beautiful.

My choice in the Santa Barbara/Ventura area. I have enjoyed staying several times at this Carpentaria Holiday Inn Express. Great little gem.

We stayed in a room that had two double beds plus a sleeper sofa that accommodated our family of five very well.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Traveler80210 Hotel condition is great - rates
The hotel is fairly new, in very good condition and the same for the room. Furniture and fixtures were in good shape. The cleaning staff did a great job. The issue with our stay was the price. The rate was high but maybe that was due to high demand. On top of the rate there is of course high taxes and a daily pet fee was charged. Add that all up and the cost was excessive which is why I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone else and we look for other hotels to stay at first before considering Holiday Inns. Children staying at the hotel were far more disruptive than the dogs we'd see from time to time. Dog owners kept their pets quiet (didn't hear one bark our entire stay) and the grounds showed no signs of dogs. La Quinta chains no longer charge for pets. I don't mind paying somewhat high prices for well maintained properties but the daily pet fee and taxes (obviously not considered when setting base rates) put the total cost over the top.

Typical H.I.E... The staff is friendly; parking is available. You're better off going somewhere off site for breakfast. If you know H.I.E and you expect H.I.E then you won't be disappointed.
