Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good value overnight stay staff very friendly and helpful. beds comfy. we arrived early so had rooms on2nd floor rather than 7th. downside was view looked onto the vents. Plus the air con was rather noisy. but clean well equipped room and hotel though not in the centre of Charleston is very near the free bus service and much better value than central hotels. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Expereince This was an overall great experience. Rooms were large, clean and functional. The hot breakfast was really good (there is a McDonald's right next door). Business center available and easy to access/print info. Fitness center was good, clean and equipped with machines and free weights. Pool was nice and inviting. Free and ample parking. Only issues are 1) most will need to get a taxi to go to downtown tourist areas as it is a bit difficult and confusing to walk, and 2) no bar area for drinks or late night snacks. May 19, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EXCELLENT HOTEL BUT HARD TO GET TO! While we enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express, CD-AR, we found it very difficult to get to. Although we have stayed in Charleston many times, we had never driven on the connector that leads to the hotel. Please recommend to guests that they use GPS to direct them otherwise they will end up on the other side of the river in stop and go traffic as we did. Once we figured out how to get to the hotel, it wasn't as difficult. May 17, 2015
