Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing. I am a Priority Club member and so stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for 3 days. I spent most of my time at the Harrah's Cherokee Casino and so can only comment on one thing. On the day when I was supposed to check out I requested a wake up call and though the front desk personnel told me it was all set, I never got a call. This made me miss my work and my heart medicine. When I mentioned this to the front desk while checking out later at 1100 hrs, they just said it was too bad. This is inexcusable. April 4, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ants in bathroom Bed was comfortable and room was nice. The first morning after our first night stay we notice ants crawling on the sink in the bathroom. When we reported it we were told that had been a problem in the past and it was thought to be taken care of. Evidently not! They did not have another handicap room to move us to we went ahead a stayed the second night since the room wasn't overrun with ants and other hotels we full. We were given a $20.00 discount for one of the nights. I hope they took care of their ant problem before the next guests came in. Also the room had no mini-fridge or microwave. The is the first place in a long time we haven't had the amenities. I would recommend this hotel except for the ants. March 14, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Would not recommend! No acknowlegdement of Priority Club memebers! The rooms have no refridgerators or microwaves, no cookies or fruit in the lobby! The first morning, bacon was added to the breakfast bar, right before the end of the service. The second morning, again we smelled the bacon, but it was NEVER served to the paying customers, instead, when we walked by one of the offices, ten to fifteen employees were enjoying breakfast with the bacon that smelled up the front lobby. We did not notify local management, because we assumed they were part of the "bacon eaters." The third morning, it was at TOTAL disaster. Most everything had run out! The employee, in charge of breakfast, was pretty rude when I asked for certain items to be refilled! The lowest service Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed at! February 21, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice stay for a fair price We enjoyed our stay. Spent three nights and two days at the hotel. Breakfast was good and hot with a good selection. Desk service was excellent. The exercise room is a little sparse with two treadmills and one recumbent bike. My one negative comment surrounds housekeeping service. We were out of our room between 9 am and 4 pm each day. During this period, no one from housekeeping attended to our room. It wasn't until about 4:30 pm each day that housekeeping knocked on our door and asked if we needed anything. This could have and in my opinion should have been done earlier in the day. I saw several housekeeping personnel in hallways in the morning prior to leaving each day. January 4, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Front Desk and maid service Bad experience, had earrings stolen from my luggage. Was told by front desk they did not have safety deposit box at front desk so that meant me taking my computer and kindle to my car every time I left hotel. Spoke to manager when I got home about missing earrings and was told he could not do anything about that. At that time I was told the front desk did have safety box for valuable. Some training for front desk would go along way to insure guests valuables being kept safe. Would not recommend this property and will not stay here again. November 26, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Smoking room We reserved a non smoking room with two beds. We arrived to a one bed smoking room. Everything else was sold out I was told. After I complained we did get two beds, STILL a smoking room. If your not a smoker you should know how bad it was. We had to open the window on a cold night just so we could sleep. It was bad. The hotel was within walking distance from the casino but if its cold outside you will be driving. Which is not that bad. Overall good location to casino, good breakfast, the room was clean. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A bit less then I expected....for Holiday Inn Express I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Expresses, as far as this property it was fairly new, nicely decorated and comfortable. To me the price was higher then normal, and the room did not have a microwave or a fridge. The pancake machine broke two out of four of the mornings we were there. Room Housekeeping could use a bit of a boost. Beds where thrown together, we had a spill and there was a small spot on the sheet housekeeping never changed the sheet. All they did was change towels, in my girls rooms the dirty towels were not removed from the room. They laid on the floor and housekeeping left clean towels. They never replaced the shampoo or conditioner. Also, it was fall when we visited and the leaves where on the ground they would stick to our fit and then be tracked into the room. We did our best to clean them up, but the room was never vacuumed the entire time we were there. A bit disappointing, I am used to the room looking like we just checked in every night upon arrival. May think twice before staying at this property for an extended stay. November 16, 2012

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Smoking fumes in nonsmoking room! I used website to reserve a std room requesting nonsmoking. While en route I received call saying nonsmoking std room was not available, was offered a nonsmoking suite at a "discount" that was much higher than the std room booked. The room had lots of cigarette smoke preventing much sleep. I had to open windows - it was quite cold - to try to flush out and get fresher air. Also too noisy: clowns next door had tv on loud at 2 AM! This was one of the worst hotel stays ever for me, and I frequent HIX. This was more like a cheap motel, and I paid a lot more than I wanted to. Breakfast had limited choices and dirty tables. No recognition of platinum status. I will not give this hotel any more business. November 10, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by clean rooms,comfortable bed, great location Came to Hoilday Inn Express for a 3 day weekend, during the week. The location is great with walking distance to casino. We came for motorcycle riding and could venture in different directions for day rides. It was nice to have a hot breakfast before starting out. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. After a nice day of riding we could rest in a quite hotel before heading out for the evening. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I will be back next year for the beautiful scenery. November 7, 2012

The management should check to make sure all is in order before they allow a guest to check-in. The toilet didn't flush and we had to deal with that for two days ... NOT GOOD. Service was not good either; for example, the tissue wasn't changed after it was empty the first day. On a good note, the desk clerk was very nice and really professional upon check-in.
