Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great front desk people Everything was wonderful and I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in this area. Our bathroom had dirty footprints on the floor and some hair on the floor under the vanity. I don't think the maid was finished with the room as a bag of dirty linens was still in our room. When we alerted the front desk to this problem, they offered us another room but everything else was nice and we didn't want to go to the trouble of relocating to another room. They appologized repeatedly and seemed to be genuinely concerned. They adjusted our bill and we were thrilled. They have remodeled and everything we saw looked great. Most importantly, the staff was friendly and accomodating to our concerns. We will stay again. October 15, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by horrible stay/ management/ service I reserved two rooms. upon checkin one room not ready even thogh we were there after 3:00 pm, so they put us in another room with a whirlpool tub for our trouble. when we go to that room ,turned on water to sink and valve came apart spraying water everywhere and us getting soaked as well. Then got put in a third room and they said it was the same as the second room but it wasn,t the same as the second room. Iwent down to front desk and they told me that was what i was going to get. I called the holiday inn main office and i was told i would have to ealk to a manager in the morning which i was unable to do because of my time schedule. I felt yhat the management treatment of my situation was really lousy especilly since all the above mentioned issues, Due to this i will never stay there again. After getting all wet in the second room due to the water valve i felt i should have been offered at least a free night or a discounted rate or something from the management that was on duty, instead i had to call higher up and i still got nowhere at the time. just a note here, to get my things out of the second room i had to turn the water off under the sink myself!!!!!!!!!! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by In the dark... If you enjoy showering in the dark, this is your destination. In fact, all wall-switched lights in the room are motion sensing. And while you are showering, the light goes off. I don't know if this is some sort of scheme to limit showering times, or a cheap-azz way of saving two cents of electricity at the expense of my comfort, but it is highly annoying and unsafe in the bathromm. This is not isolated to the room I stayed in either. Hotel staff and housekeeping were friendly and the room was clean. The HVAC unit was a bit noisy and ran almost continuously (energy waste), however it did keep the room warm on some exceptionally cold days and nights. January 29, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great value Although this location was a great value it is an older location. My room appeared to be clean but found hair in the bathroom. The tv in the room was small. The bed was old and lumpy. My bedding did not smell clean. It was late when I checked in so I did not complain. But this location is one step away from being a value inn. After having almost 8 months in hotels this year. This location is probably the worst I seen of Holliday inn. Kelly December 26, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Bed but musty room The facilities seem to be well maintained; however, the room was musty and had water damage and I couldn't figure out how to work the whirlpool tub. Apparently their is an unmarked switch on the wall and a button in the tub. The bed and blankets were very nice and the facilities were nice as well. November 19, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy Room was very noisy. So noisy I could hear the guest in the next room snoring. Had to download and app to make white noise on my phone to try to sleep. Had a room full of lady bugs and asked the front desk to check that and the TV which had a issue with the sound. Neither got done. Lady that runs the breakfast area was the only plus. Very pleasant. I am loyal to HIE but won;t stay here again. November 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The staff made everything better. I was visiting Cloverdale to attend my father's funeral, and it was a rough time for me. On top of it, several hundred teenaged kids descended upon the hotel for their track meet (30 miles away) the next morning. Okay, fine. But it ended up that the central room for all the adults and kids was right next to mine, and I couldn't even hear when someone knocked on my door. So yeah, for a full two hours from 8-10pm the night before my dad's funeral, when I was trying to work on a eulogy, I felt like I had died and gone to "spring break nightmare". But the entire staff at this hotel turned that bad experience around by exceeding my expectations in every way. There are other hotels to choose from in Cloverdale, but I won't stay anywhere but here. The management and staff are authentic, hard-working people who take their jobs seriously, and it was most appreciated when I wasn't at my best. Thanks, Cloverdale Holiday Inn Express. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poorly maintained, Pool, Hot Tub, Television We checked with staff before we made this reservation to make sure that previous customer concerns were taken care of. We found this not to the the case. The pool temperature was very cold, hot tub jets did not work and was dirty (oil scum and hair floating), the 31 television stations offered but 12 of them did not work with an error message on the screen that said no signal. I talked to a staff member about the issues but remained unresolved for the two days we were there. November 2, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Choice in the area Husband and I stayed here for a total of 12 days during the Covered Bridge Festival. Breakfast very good. The types of eggs and meats for breakfast changed daily. The bread products in the bread case were put out as needed and not in great abundance so they would always be fresh when chosen. The pancake maker was out of order, but still, there was so much to choose from, it did not matter. The room was clean. We liked the HD flat screen TV. We felt like the mattresses were not terribly comfortable, but 4 big pillows per bed made up for that! Shower head was good... that is important to us. Housekeeping did a great job. Desk clerks were wonderful and helpful, as well as the ladies that prepared breakfast daily. We were thoroughly satisfied and happy with our stay at this Holiday Inn! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Access The hotel feels a little older although rooms are clean and comfortable. There is NO ELEVATOR, 2nd floor rooms require guests to walk up a significant number of stairs. My room had no Refrigerator or Microwave. The Internet connection was so slow it was unusable Premium HBO channel was unwatchable. As a Platinum Member I was not offered any kind of room upgrade, although I did get a free newspaper and "goodie bag" on arrival. Overall I think this is the worse Holliday Inn Express I have stayed in. I was happy it was for only a short stay. October 13, 2013
