I am a loyal Holiday Inn Express customer, but this was the worst stay I have ever had with this chain.
First- The air conditioner did not cool the room. The fan was stuck on low and we were unable to change it.
Second- On our second night, a group of young men were booked into the hotel. Late into the night, they were running up and down the hall, slamming doors and shouting to each other. When I went to call the front desk, I realized the phone was not working. I had to call the front desk with my cell phone. The clerk at the desk assured me he would take care of the noise promptly, but the children's behavior did not change. Needless to say, we got little rest.
Such a disappointment...

Very nice Rooms!! The beds were really comfortable, which is what we always look for in hotels. The staff was very friendly! Breakfast was great! I will stay at this Holiday Inn Express everytime I visit College Station!

This hotel was in a good location, with lots of restaurants to choose from. This was just an average hotel, nothing new about it. The price was way too much for this hotel. The pool is the size of a big hot tub. The bathroom floor was buckled and the door barely shut. The wi-fi didn't work either. So, if you want average, then choose this hotel.

My first time in College Station for a softball tournament and I'm glad that I chose the Holiday Inn. It's close to the campus and most major attractions. The staff was extremely friendly, access to the hotel with a room key only was a HUGE comfort, and the rooms were cleaned with extreme detail...not to mention that the price is definitelty right.
I can absolutely recommend the Holiday Inn to anyone needing a hotel in College Station...you won't be dissapointed!

The temperature in the hallways and common areas of the building was hot, stale and uncomfortable. It was an unpleasant first impression.
My family and I experienced issues with our key card malfunctioning early in the day as we were locked out of the side entrance carrying heavy bags, which was an inconvenience. Later in the evening as my wife and I returned to our room on the third floor our room key would not work. We were both burdened by bags and had just waited an extraordinary amount of time for the consistently slow elevator. I called the front desk from my cellphone and spoke with "Mia" asking if someone could bring us a room key because we were locked out of our room. Mia said I would have to come down. I mentioned the continuing trouble with the room and the inconvenience it was causing. She never apologized, and said, with an attitude, that she was busy and it would take a while before she would bring one up. I left the third floor and went to the lobby(using the stairs) and had to wait for her phone conversation to end before she re-programmed my key. I aske if she was the only person working to which she replied, "Yes." Then it occurred to me that the unsatisfactory service was a staffing issue. The Wifi in the hotel was hit and miss at best.
I sent an email to the general manager regarding the unpleasant stay and over two weeks later still haven't had a courtesy response.
My family and I had a second multiple day reservation scheduled for this same location; however, I have already cancelled the reservation and booked with Marriott.
