Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by worn out hotel This place need a serious makeover. Bad drywall repairs in bath and poor paint job in the room and bath. carpets in hall and room worn out. November 12, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Vacation Our first night was not very restful do to people jumping up-and-down on the room above us. Notified the staff downstairs and she was getting phone calls from other tenants at the same time. She indicated that she tried to call the room but was not getting any response. She prompted me to go knock on the door and see if I could get them to stop. I don't think that was very appropriate. The floor in our room was partially sunken underneath the carpet as if there was a large crack that was repaired was starting to fall through. When we walked on the floor the whole room vibrated. We had to start walking softly so that we didn't disturb the people below us. We would have picked another motel for our three day stay but all other facilities were not vacant. Of all of the Holiday Inn Express' we have stayed at by far this would have to be our worst experience. The breakfast food taste was also substandard so much that we decided to eat at McDonald's the day that we left. I would normally never write a review but I felt led to this time. I will not be staying at this place again. November 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Night's Rest Stayed one night during a trip. Have marked this hotel to stay in again when in the area. Clean, friendly staff, and quiet. Signage from road could be better, drove past it the first time. There are good restaurants to eat at this exit which is also very nice. November 9, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Little noisy. All was OK at this hotel except the noise from other rooms and the hall all night long. Internet was great and the included breakfast was good. November 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not really pet friendly. After a 9 hour drive we chose this property because it was listed as pet friendly and I could use reward points. I thought the pet fee $35.00 was a little high but paid it. I expected to get a pet freindly room. That's how it is. But I still expect a quiet room. The room was OK, however it was right behind the elevator shaft. This room should not be used for guests at all. We had stopped early to relax but the noise from the elevator operation made for A less than enjoyable and relaxing stay. I think saying pet friendly should also be pet owner freindly. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Too many bugs Upon checking in, I saw a silverfish walking across the desk. The desk clerk said "what is it?" and I told her. Then I said it meant it was time to call the bug exterminator. During the night, my wife and I were awakened when a different insect (a stink bug) walked across us. That was unpleasant, to put it mildly. I saw more on the ceiling later and took pictures because it was really unbelievable. At breakfast, the food looked good, but the eggs and sausage were cold to my taste. I asked where was the microwave oven, so I could heat the food. Was told there was no microwave. I thought the accommodations were pricey, all things considered. In fact, the following weekend, we had a nicer room in Conway, SC (near Myrtle Beach) for less than half the price of this one in Dandridge. November 6, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by BRRRRRR! Turned the shower to 'H' for hot water. No water pressure to the shower head. Backed the dial up, got water pressure but no hot water...it was barely lukewarm (at 6am in the morning). Told 4 different people at the front desk over the course of the weekend. Got 4 different reasons why that happened but NOBODY said they would send someone up to check it out. (I pity the next person staying in Room 306). They did move me to another room for the second night. I had made the reservations 3 months in advance and asked for non-smoking - got put into smoking because my reservations were made through Hotels.com and the fine print there said this hotel could just put me in 'Whatever is available'. The room the second night was non-smoking. November 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Linwood at front desk. Again my stay was great. I had to spend part of the weekend at hotel. Linwood took care of signing me in. He was polite and couteous. We found out that we had something in common and we discussed that and it made you feel welcome and like part of the hotel. Not a total stranger. When I first got in my room, there was an issue with a strange odor. It was brought to Samantha's attention and she took care of it. I believe this hotel has a great staff. I never have any problems here. If I do, they always take care of them. November 4, 2014
