Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Workers and staff Very friendly and professional. Great attitude among all. They seemed to enjoy working with people. Good breakfast which I consider necessary when "on the road." I would add this suggestion. There are always too many carbs offered. We are guten free and used lactose free milk or almond milk (can't expect you to offer the almond milk as it is an acquired taste). Most of our friends are similiar in their eating style (I'm 72 years old and able to walk three fast miles a day after doing weights and 20 push-ups). Not bragging, but there is a new life-style out there for the professional and semi-professional class of traveler......be they on business or leisure. For sure there are the "porker class" who are vastly overweight and they head for the donuts and carbs. My peers and subordinates eat right, exercise right and so far are living a healthy life. On the road that is not easy to do. We actually carry a cooler with our good foods inside and change ice each night. We did not use your fitness room because we arrived too late; still exercised in our room. One other suggestion. Have electrical outlets on all lamps: plenty of them. We use our personal electronic instruments and must charge them at night. In some hotels it is a fight to find outlets behind furniture, et al. Hope this helps as I believe our interests match the new generation of travelers (with whom we identify despite our advancing age). Plan for the future! April 21, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sub-standard room for HI Express We love HI Express and make use of their many locations every time we travel. We stayed in March and this room at this hotel was definitely not up to par with any other we've experienced. The bathroom was very shabby and looked like one you might expect at a $30 a night motel. It looked like the bathroom had been expanded to make it a handicap accessible room but the work was done by unskilled people. Fixtures were not very tight on wall and toilet and shower looked terrible. I was very disappointed and did not use the shower. Hopefully this was the case with just this one room. Definite not the standard for the usual HI Express experience. Also, they did a fire alarm check while I was packing up getting ready to leave. They called the room to alert us that they were going to test but no one was there when I answered (after 2 rings) The alarms went off in the room and were so loud I couldn't event think. Finally my husband helped me get everything out of the room and all they could say at the front desk was that the person who called to alert us should have told us what was going on. REALLY! We were within a half hour of check out time, couldn't the test wait until AFTER check out time. April 12, 2015
