The hotel and staff were nice, however, the 'rules' were not consistent with all guests. For example, we were told we could not eat pizza in the lobby area and went to our small room to eat. Then, throughout our stay, there where others that had outside food and drinks there.
If you are with a big group, I would not recommend this hotel as the lobby area is nice, but you are not allowed to have your own drinks and food and are forced to go to your room. Then, you are talked to because you are too loud at 8:00 at night.
Not a pleasant experience for our large group.

For me anyway, I don't like mattresses that are hard as a rock and this room (525) was hard as a rock. And about every five minutes the TV would lose it's signal for about 5-10 seconds like clockwork.

Stayed at your property on January 25, 2014 for Velocity Dance Convention, found the hotel to be very old and outdated. Carpets in rooms and hallways dirty and stained. Could not check in until after 4:00 pm as rooms were not yet cleaned, checked in, carpets were not vacuumed and there was hair on the bathroom floor. Front desk staff was not very friendly at check in, especially Sara and the manager on duty. We stay at many hotels for dance conventions and we are always warmly welcomed by hotel staff, not the case at this hotel! The kids used the pool that night and there were not any towels, we told the front desk and were told that they ran out of towels. Now, I can understand that maybe there were more kids using the pool that day, but no apology for the inconvenience, or maybe telling us it was okay to use our room towels, nothing! She just rudely told us they were out of towels. I also understand that maybe it is more chaotic when you have large conventions, especially ones with a lot of kids, but guess what, that is how you are paid that paycheck you get! I believe customer service is not a priority at this hotel. However, I must say, the bartender on duty that night was great, I did not get her name, but she was very friendly and took great care of everyone.

I Stay at this property on average twice a month and use their shuttle service to and from the airport. Whenever I call, they say the shuttle is 10-15 minutes away. It is usually 20 minutes and sometimes 45 minutes away. I wish they would just be honest and save me from standing out in the cold.
People are nice, rooms are nice. Free breakfast buffet for platinum members. I appreciate it, but it's never really fresh and appears to be made in the microwave from frozen ingredients. I stay here because I can often find a good deal and it's relatively close to the airport. It's a quiet comfortable hotel, but it's on the lower end of the Crown Plaza spectrum.

The DIA Crowne Plaza is excellent. I love coming in and seeing the waterfall. The staff is always excellent. I almost always order roomservice and the Wings are the BOMB! I like the sleep kit provided on the bed.

- To call this a Denver airport location is bordering on false advertising. It is not in the group of hotels near the airport--twice as far away.
- Newer facility, so why must we put up with the old style under-the-window heaters that are loud and you have to guess at the temperature setting. Give me a thermostat please.
- When are hotels going to give me 2 free outlets by the bed? I want my cell phone on the nightstand, and I have to plug in my sleeping machine for sleep apnea. Do I have to pull the night stand from the wall or pull the bed out to get to the outlet? At least they could provide a lamp with an outlet like they do on the desk.
- Customer service was awful when I checked in. Only one person in front of me that took forever, then a phone call, then something to do with the night deposit. Felt like I was their last priority, and the non-urgent attitude and slowness was really disappointing.

I stay at this property anywhere from 2-6 times a month. The Front desk staff is ALWAYS fantastic! The two Sarah's and Jason that work the front desk are always friendly and helpful. AMAZING three people!!!!
The food staff are friendly and fast. The menu us a bit dated and need some refreshing.
The property is perfect for getting to the airport and down town. DIA (Denver International) is not close to downtown and this hotel is in the middle.
Rooms are updated and clean. My only issue is there is no way to plug in electronics next to your bed. They have on the Desk a wonderful 4 port connection, but I like having my phone on the night stand next to my bed...I wish there was a way that could be.

I would love to talk to someone about out stay with you on New Years. I was so excited about this stay and it ended up being just awful. To begin the reservation was a mess and ended up charging my card wrong. And I am still waiting for this to be fixed. Then the front desk was absolutely rude. We called to have a few things like our room cleaned and after repeated calls and visits to the staff over 5 hours we finally got our room cleaned. The restaurant was awful. I paid a lot of money for the food and the service was horrible. Waited for water for over 30 minutes. People were just getting up and getting it themselves. Then when we told the front desk once again they were so not helpful and said nothing they could do about it. So over all I spent a lot of money and was do disappointed in the experience we had.

The food at the restaurant was terrible, both diine in and room service. There was a group of 8 of us there, all of us experienced poor service during our week long stay. The shuttle service is nt reliable enough to make plans to do anything as they may suggest or lead on. Cleaning service was god besides there must of been a shortage on wash clothes and towels. I would never stay there again, not for business or personal.

We stayed here on our cross country trip. Not sure why the negative reviews, but we found it to be very clean, friendly and on the upscale end as far as hotels go. Staff was wonderful - very helpful in all regards. Our bed was super comfortable, crisp, clean white bedding. Wish all our hotel stays on our trip had been this pleasant !

1. The alarm clock was set wrong and no way to set it.
2, Some of the toiletries had previously been used.
3. The staff was unawair that a contintenal brk. was available in room tho it was listed on room service.
4.the mattress on my bed had a dip in it , I was forced to move over to the other side so to sleep levelly.
5/ I miss a refrig and microwave, fortunately we had a car to safely store food in.
6. I don't critique unless asked.
7. Its' locale in relationship to the med. center is perfect.

This is a decent hotel in a good location. The front desk check in was AWESOME, when I got to my room I asked for a few chairs so our group had a place to sit, it was done within fifteen minutes, OUTSTANDING! It all went downhill from here.
Breakfast service was awful waited 15 minutes for water,juice,coffee. Then 10 minutes for milk. The food was average hotel fare. Asked front desk for directions and was told to google it in the business center. My do not disturb on my door was ignored(somebody took it) but I even told housekeeping in the hall not to clean my room.
The room had very few available outlets for laptops or phone chargers. The sink backed up and nothing was done about it, it was GROSS, it was literally filth, I couldn't brush my teeth I had to use the sink down in the lobby bathroom. I dont think I'll be back.

This hotel was rate 3 1/2 stars and it should of been 2 at the highest. The staff was friendly but the hotel stunk, the hallways and general areas carpeting was dirty. This is an embarrassment to this otherwise decent chain. The food in the restaurant was horrible. However, I was waited on by a very nice lady that did provide good service. People were not the problem here.

When I checked in the staff was super friendly and nice. Also, the gym is amazing - great space and equipment! But that's basically where it ends.
It was hard to find the elevator and when I did find it, it is very slow. It was also hard to find the gym. The garbage had not been taken out in my room and the mouthwash bottle in the bathroom didn't have a seal on it which makes me wonder if it was used before. Those things made me question if the glasses were clean, bedding was changed, etc.
I was considering just grabbing some dinner at their restaurant but after running into some other guests in the elevator who said that their food was so slow that they got their food for free, I decided against it.
Again, the front desk staff was really nice though.

I was traveling for business and needed a room near the airport because I had an early morning flight. The bathtub in my room needed to be scrubbed. It was dirty. I reserved a king room and was given a double because the only king room was on the first floor. Instead I got a double room on the second floor overlooking the atrium / bar. It was very loud and I could hear the conversation of the bar guests. The shower was dirty and I would not take a shower. I will not stay here again and will not recommend this hotel.

was present for 4 nights, didn't welcome me as a platinum club member at check in, had treats for other club members but excluded me, didn't receive breakfast or drink coupons that club members receive, had to go to desk 3 times to have them remove tax from my bill and when I checked out final bill was still wrong... when I asked at front desk, they acknowledged that I was a priority club member and when manager got involved and sent a front desk clerk to inquire again of my room number... I still never heard anything else about my concerns...

As a flight attendant for SouthwestnAirlines I would like to commend your staff for the warm welcome I received upon arrival at the Crowne. I particularly chose your hotel because I love TempleSpa products - and I was pleasantly surprised to see an array of their products in my room. The staff was so polite and even offered to give me a wake up call BEFORE I even had to ask.. They gave me a brief personal tour of where things are located at the hotel ie) elevators, restaurant, etc.
Thank you for making the stay a pleasant one. If I fly out of Denver again, or even visit, I will make reservations with Crowne Plaza again.

It is time for this hotel to have an update. The rooms and halls to the rooms felt like they have not had service in a long time. The room had a "musty/old smoke" smell to it. The weather was nice enough to open the windows for fresh air, but they were caulked shut. When looking at the pictures from the website, I felt like this would be one of the newer IHG properties, but it is clearly not.
For a positive note, the bar staff was excellent! Ashley, the bartender, did a great job with a very full bar. The food was also very good! Try the Reuben!

Overall, I had an excellent stay at Crowne Plaza. My only suggestion is if you need to use the shuttle, book far in advance of the time that you need it. I had to use the shuttle to get to an interview in the morning, and they did not have the shuttle ready until 10 minutes after I had signed up. Also, it took them about 25 minutes to pick me up with the shuttle later on.
Also, the walls were thin and I could hear my neighbors talking till about 2 AM.

I was a little leery opting to stay here as I had business meetings in the convention center attached to the hotel and had read some terrible reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service, room accomodations and appearance of the hotel. Would stay here again.
