Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always pleasantly meets my expectations I have been guest at this hotel at least yearly, and more often twice yearly, for almost 10 years. I visit family in the town and I am always pleased with the accommodations and amenities; like the pool and exercise room. The included breakfast is always excellent and the hotel staff is very pleasant. True southern hospitality. February 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Set the bar Just finished my second visit to this property to stay for a concert at the nearby casino. The staff has been helpful letting us know about the complimentary shuttle and looking up a restaurant closing time for us. Rooms are big and easy to settle into. Breakfast area is fairly large but doesn't feel like a large space with tables tossed in. The area is well maintained and stocked. It's the usual menu but still a fair value. No mention of IHG rewards status or offer of welcome points or water for being platinum but that isn't a top priority for me. Helpful staff and comfortable room makes it a favorite location. We scheduled at the last minute due to a death in the family, arrived the evening before the memorial service, and had to check out the day of the service. We appreciated your staff for granting us a late checkout which enabled us to change our clothes and checkout after the 11 a.m. service. January 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by no breakfast Overall it was good except for in the morning when my wife and I went down stairs to check out and grab some breakfast. There was almost nothing left and this was at 8:30 in the morning . We where not the only ones there and when the front desk was asked if anyone was working the breakfast area they didn't know where they were and that they where out of some of the food. Not sure what was going on but we left and grab somthing else where. I have stayed at a lot of IHG hotels and this was a first for me. January 9, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast Let me start by saying I love Holiday Inn Express for the most part and stay there any chance I get. However, breakfast this trip was a fiasco! We made it down to breakfast approximately ten minutes prior to 9am. There was NO food out, NONE. There were no napkins and the juice in the machine came out clear like water. You couldn't even eat cereal because they were out of milk. There was absolutely no staff around at that time tending to breakfast. By the time staff showed-up, it was taking so long to get the food ready people were starting to gather to try and get breakfast before it ended at 10. They brought out a tray of biscuits first. Maybe one person was interested. Five or ten minutes later they brought out a tray of gravy. Still no interest. It would be another five to ten minutes before they brought out bacon. There were so many people waiting for food the tray was empty before everyone had food or before they could bring out a tray of eggs. It was very disappointing. Some one dropped the ball in a major way when it came to their job responsibilities and there should be consequences. January 7, 2016
