My daughter and I enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub. The room is clean and beds are comfortable. The quality of the facilities and services is the best. The location is very convenient. The only problem I had was the heater was one of those type of high cool, low cool, high heat types. As I was in Flagstaff the heater took a bit to warm the room up, but otherwise my stay was awesome. I am in the military and as such had to leave earlier than the free breakfast was served, but the front desk staff made me a special "to go" bag which was awesome. I really appreciated that. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service and comfortable stay. Have not stayed at Holiday Inn facilities in quite awhile. I will now try to make more stays at Holiday Inn's. Our Flagstaff stay was most comfortable with excellent service by the staff. The morning breakfast was just right with enough choices. Like the hot cider in the afternoons sitting by the fireplace! The beds in the room were comfortable giving a good nights rest. Like the refrigerator in the room where I could keep my medication. November 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant stay Overall we had a good couple of nights here - comfy bed and good breakfasts The elevator needs a facelift, however. The interior seems to have been bashed rather well - by skiers, maybe? Based on the appearance of the rest of the hotel it looks out of place. Just a note about the lamps in the rooms. They are nice and modern but are quite tall with short shades. When you are sitting in a chair or on the bed you look right at the light bulbs so we couldn't have them on most of the time. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Hotel while traveling The Flagstaff Hotel was the very best we stayed at during our travel to visit our son. We traveled over 4000 miles. We came in late at night and found the staff very nice and understanding. The fireplace was so welcoming in the lounge and the peace and quiet was soothing. After a great sleep in a very nice clean room we went down for breakfast. The morning breakfast was a delight. We did not know that the gentleman that greeted us that morning was the general manager. All the special attention made us feel truly special. After a long day of vacationing, about 40 miles down the road, we doubled back to this hotel knowing we would sleep well and leave feeling great. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by broken A/C and heating unit I had awoken in the night because the room was freezing only to realize none of the buttons for the A/C and heating unit were on. I was too tired to call the front desk and didn't want to wake up my toddler children so we I layered on my clothes and layered the blankets on them. In the morning I was going to report the problem but the buttons were on. When I reported the issue at check out, the lady was more concerned telling me she couldn't do anything for me than ensuring the problem would be looked into. November 6, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Older Facility with Little Consideration for Club Member This is an older facility without sufficient electrical outlets for technology chargers or even a microwave. The room had a poor furniture layout requiring one guest to climb over the bed if the other guest is sitting at the desk. When we checked in without a reservation we were charged the walk-in rate without being given any consideration for my club status unlike our stay at a Holiday Inn Express the previous night in Albuquerque. In Albuquerque they gave us the reservation rate even though we had no reservation. It's unlikely that we will stay at the Holiday Inn Express when we return to Flagstaff in the future although HIE is usually our preferred hotel. October 30, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Experience We stayed two nights here with some of our adult kids and grandchildren and it was such a great experience. The staff was helpful and friendly. The cleanliness and the amenities at the hotel were wonderful and it enhanced the fun that we were having. After playing all day it was so nice to relax in the hot tub and use the pool, and there were plenty of towels at the pool area. The rooms were very clean and large. With booking two rooms we were given two Rewards gifts and the site was so clean and the staff took care of the facilities very well. The breakfast was kept stocked and the breakfast area was very clean. Would love to stay here again. October 25, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express Although I appreciated the price of the room as lower than other hotels of like quality, I was disappointed in the common areas of the hotel. The hallways had an unpleasant odor and the carpets were worn and dirty, and the elevators cramped and also dirty. The room appeared to be ok, but the mattress was uncomfortable. HIE needs to look after the appearance of the hotel better, and more regularly clean the carpets in the rooms and common areas. Dirty common areas make me suspect the cleanliness of the rooms.
