We use this property as our evening stopping point into DFW Airport and our early morning flight to Mexico the next day. Always good service, accommodations and access to nearby restaurants. It did not disrupt our stay at all. I will be back to Grapevine in October and will definiately stay here again!! August 25, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Way less tham expected If you have ever took vacation and are flying out early like 8 am don't go here you will not get breakfast. the air-conditioned was set on 60 degrees and it felt like 80 degrees on the room I sleep with only the sheets on I was still hot. I was laying right beside the air-condition too worst of all after having trouble sleeping I still didn't even get to eat breakfast and had to buy airport food @ outrageous prices. Paid about 200 per room and all we did is barely sleep. August 19, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible experience My family and I stayed at this hotel to visit legoland and the aquarium. We went swimming soon after arrival and the chlorine was so strong that it burned my 8yo sons eyes. We went back to room to shower and there was NO knob on our shower. We COULD NOT turn on the water. Called front desk and she sent a maintenance person to our room who told us the knobs were being replaced in all the rooms and we had an old one. He gave us a pair of pliers so we could at least shower. While showering I noticed a crack in bottom of tub. Later that night I got up to go to bathroom and the floor was SOAKED. Squishy. I told the front desk upon departure of All the problems and the manager on duty stated he would credit me some rewards points. REALLY? After a totally miserable night we got a measly credit of points. We did get an apology and the staff was very nice. Rooms are under construction on 2 floor so there is constant noise and movement above. August 19, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by New Renovation Odor Made for Allergy Hangover If unfamiliar with the area the hotel was difficult to find due to the maze of freeways to get there. Clean accommodations, friendly staff, complimentary breakfast was great way to start the day. The bed was comfortable, the room had an odor from a recent renovation that made for a pretty miserable stay with this allergy sufferer. The staff did bring in a room deodorizer and sprayed into the A/C vent which helped a short while. This traveler would have preferred to be moved to another floor that had not had the recent reno but was told no other rooms were available. Too bad as my trip to the Grapevine area was to visit Gateway Church. My next trip to Gateway won't include staying at the same hotel. There were three other hotels right next to this property or within eye view from this hotel, so there are other options. The hotel was clean and attractively furnished but the odor just was not worth staying any longer than one night. August 18, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Under Renovation We always choose Holiday Inn Express facilities when we travel. We have never had a negative experience until this stay. Firstly, the hotel is under renovation and this was not communicated to us when we made reservations. The crew doing the renovations was extremely friendly and accommodating and there was little noise or mess. However, the dust and chemicals used and created during renovation did hang in the air and caused sinus and allergy issues. I would assume this would be a serious issue for an asthma sufferer. It did affect the quality of our stay and I believe this should have been mentioned at the time of booking. Additionally, the rates for this hotel should be significantly decreased during the renovation period. As a government employee who has traveled and stayed at many of these facilities, the amenities and service just did not justify the rate I paid. If ever traveling to Grapevine, TX in the future, I would choose another of the many hotels in the area to stay. August 11, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by did not get what I had reserved I had reserved a room with two queen beds two weeks from our date of arrival. When my husband and I arrived, we did not have a double, even thought the desk had that as our request. Something about renovations on the third floor, which they would have know about when I called. We ended up with a king and a sofa bed, which was extremely uncomfortable. Were offered what we wanted the second night, but didn't want to repack to move. Didn't understand why our request was confirmed, but was not available when we arrived. August 7, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mistake in Refund I attended a wedding in June 2014. I paid cash for my room. I used my debit card for a hold for incidentals. I checked out on 6/16/14. I noticed a charged $50.00 to my debit card (I don't use credit cards). They stated it was to cover any additional charges that I may charge to my room. I charged nothing to the room. I called twice and the days to receive the credit back kept changing. It is now July 24 and still no credit back to my bank account. July 24, 2014

We book parking with global airport parking, drop off the car the night before our trip and leave the next morning. We have never had any issues with security in this area. There are great places, mall, food, etc. that they would take us to in the past as long as it was within reason. Now, they will not take you anywhere. July 22, 2014

The hotel is in the process of renovating the guest rooms and I did not experience any Interruptions because of this. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Updating! This hotel is overpriced for what you get. I've stayed in nice Holiday Inn Express hotels, but this one definitely needs renovating. We checked in late and the lady at the front desk was very friendly. We made reservations for the shuttle to the airport in the morning before heading to our room. The elevator had sheets hanging up and our room was in poor condition. There was a wall unit that did not cool the room down, so we slept in a humid, sticky room. The next morning we had to wait to get on the shuttle along with seven other people in a small van. We literally had bags in our laps to all fit in. Once we returned from our trip, I called to schedule the shuttle to pick us up, and they informed me I had to call back once I claimed my luggage. We got our luggage and I called at 8:50pm. She told me the van would leave at 9, so we waited out front for 40 minutes and were crammed in again with the same group coming. I think this hotel was overpriced for the quality and needs to work on the shuttle service. July 15, 2014
