Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 My December 2014 Stay I live in China. My 89 year old mother had a severe attack and passed away just before I was able to get to New Jersey. My sister's house was packed with other siblings and my brother suggested the Holiday Inn Express. Jack on the night desk was very helpful with my reservation and check-in. Sue took care of my room and was great. I'd definitely stay at the Haskell-Wayne Area Express on a next family visit to my home state. December 22, 2014

The cost for this hotel is exceptional and every time I stay there, the service is outstanding. The staff make you fell very welcome at the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Stay - Hotel Not Recommended My poor experience began at check-in, when I was assigned to a room that was being renovated, and the bathroom was inoperable. The "new" room I was assigned to across from the elevator was definitely not an upgrade (bathroom was marginally clean, chips in the glazing of the tub), and I was not made to feel welcome as a Gold Elite Member. The "fitness center" consisted of a tiny room with one treadmill and one bicycle. The access door was broken, and it took two staff members with a master key to get the door open, which they subsequently had to keep propped open. At check-out no one even asked me how my experience was or apologized my experience at check-in or during my stay. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to others. November 24, 2014
