Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Freshen up the bathrooms Bathrooms really need some updates! Hotel front lobby needs to be freshened up as well. Pool seems to be quite old and high in chlorine smell. When we checked in the room was not supplied with bath towels so we had to call down to the front desk to have some sent up to us. June 24, 2014

Both room and bathroom (with a great shower!) were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding compared to the hotels I visited in the past two years! Loved the cinnamon buns, especially! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good place for an overnight This was a good place to stay for a night or two if in the area. It is not possible to walk anywhere since it is on a highway--but this was good for us since we were on LI for a wedding several miles away. The hotel and room were very clean. I thought the reception area was very nice, and there was cold water with lemon available--a nice treat after our long drive! Very friendly and efficient front desk staff. The room was spacious and had a coffee maker and refrigerator--always a plus! The only true negative really was the shower curtain in the bathroom which would not stay closed and so tons of water ended up on the floor after our showers--we had to sacrifice a towel to mop it up! The bed was a king and it was comfortable enough, but the mattress felt like it was getting toward the end of its life--either that or it wasn't super comfortable to begin with, nor were the pillows anything luxurious. Overall, however, we were very happy with our stay. It was convenient and reasonably priced. May 31, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing This place is conveneint and staff is very helpful. The reason I choose is that I get the gift as an IHG member, get points, late check out and great staff. Although it is next to highway but it is so quiet. Only recommendation is to keep meat and scrambled eggs seperately as some people do nto eat meat and do not like the smell of the meat in their eggs. I hope the price is kept affordable and does not go up. April 22, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good, not great This HIE is convenient to the Long Island Expressway with a driveway right off the exit heading eastbound. There are no restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, but a good variety within a short drive. Parking is tight, I had to park in the street because there were no spots left when I arrived at 7:30 PM. The only criticism is that I had to inquire twice to receive frequent traveler credit for the stay. The people at customer service cleared it up after a few weeks. The breakfast area is clean and well stocked, the rooms are decent, but the beds are on the low quality end. It is a decent place from a price paid perspective, but there are better options in the Hauppauge area. April 9, 2014

Rooms have always been clean and comfortable, staff has always been very nice and helpful and I always enjoyed the free breakfast. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing Stay-cation Living in NY with this long winter we thought we should have a break. We enjoyed the pool and were thrilled with the sauna, very rare to find in any US hotels. Breakfast had yogurt and enough variety for healthy choices. Our room was quiet and you could barely hear the hum of the LIE traffic. Slept well and bed was great. Excellent value for the price. Will stay again. February 27, 2014

I TOLD THE STAFF IN THE MORNING AND THE MAITNAINTS MAN DID NOT FIX IT CORRECT. EVERY NIGHT I HAD A PROBLEM.THEN HAD FINALLYGOT THE MANEGER ON MY LAST NIGHT, BECAUSE I HAD TO SWITCH ROOMS. HE GAVE ME HALF PRICE FOR MY INCONVEININCE. I REALLY DID NOT LIKE MY STAY THIS TIME. AND THE STAFF DID A TERRIBLE JOB CLEANING THE ROOM. February 27, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by What Happened After a dozen or so satisfactory visits to this property I was disappointed in my most recent stay. The furniture in the lobby was shabby and uninviting. The chairs had black tape covering what I assume were tears in the armrests. Upon entering the room, it appeared less than crisp; in fact it looked like someone had taken a nap in the bed before out arrival. I hope this was the soon to be corrected exception rather than the new SOP. February 5, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fitness center My only complaint is I choose Hotels based on their fitness centers since I work out every day. I have been to this hotel several times and will be back again and the fitness center needs to be upgraded. First of all it is downstairs near the pool and although the fitness center is enclosed you still have to walk through the pool with its strong smell of clorine and its heavy humid air and when you get into the fitness center there is not air circulating. There is a huge fan that is too heavy to move around - the room is not comfortable to work out in because it is way too warm. Then there's the equipment- The life fitness cross trainer is great- there are 2 treadmill and only one works- Its nice to have all the free weights but there are weights missing - there is only one for many of the different pounds. At last but not least- the universal gym is a real plus and would be great if it worked!! Last time I was there in October at least some of it worked but this time Nothing worked!! Is there no one there who checks these things out- You really need to address the fitness center- And it would be nice to have something to wipe the equipment down with before and after workouts to address the germs. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Efficient staff at a busy hotel My wife, young daughter, and I stayed here while visiting family. The staff honored my request for a room on the side of the hotel away from the LIE, but because of the angle at which the building is situated on the property, this helped to reduce but not totally eliminate road noise. Our arrival and stay coincided with those of several elementary school-aged boys and girls athletic teams, but the front desk handled the influx well. The breakfast buffet was not quite as varied as other HIE buffets, but a second room off the main breakfast area absorbed the extra morning traffic. Although my daughter and I enjoyed the indoor pool, it is small and narrow, forcing us to rub shoulders with a couple of other swimmers. The parking lot is oddly arranged, making access difficult, but my daughter was entertained by the outdoor koi pond. December 18, 2013

The room looked clean and pretty big, however controlling the room temperature was tricky. Breakfast with fruits, yoghurt, bagels, toast and orange juice in the small room was good. December 15, 2013
