Great stay: large room and bathroom. Fabulous customer service: Latisha and LaToya went above and beyond desk service. Maryann did a great breakfast; very well organized and CLEAN! Look forward to my next stay.

Thank you for the opportunity to express my appreciation and gratitude for your staff at the Kinston N. C. Holiday Inn. The young lady that checked us in on our first day was very refreshing after the long trip there and continued throughout the afternoon to ensure our stay was even more accommodating. On our second day the exceptional customer service continued with a call from your front desk to welcome us again as a valued rewards customer, and also to ask if we need additional service. I have always chosen your hotels because of the excellent customer service and well continue to in the future.

This was my first time in Kinston, so I wasn't sure on where I should stay. The only other Hotel was the Hampton Inn and they were booked. The lodging app on my phone directed me to Holiday Inn Express Kinston. I wasn't sure about staying here because the Hotel was located near a cemetery, and there wasn't many cars in the parking lot at the time of my arrival. When I arrived at the Hotel, a young gentleman (Michael) was at the front desk. He smiled, welcomed me to the Hotel, and asked me how could he be of any assistance. As he was presenting me the room keys, I learned that breakfast here was complimentary as well as the discounts with two neighboring restaurants and a complimentary work out with Golds Gym was also offered. After being in the room for about an hour, I realized that I needed a wake up call. As I was reaching for the phone, it rang. It was (Kim) from the front desk. She called to check on me, she even offered me the wake up call that I had planned to call for as well as a late checkout. The next morning I had to run out to my car and as I was passing the front desk, the desk associate (Tanisha) gave me a smile that was so warm and welcoming and her wishes for me to have a great day was greatly appreciated. I really wish I could have spent more time at this location, but trust and believe I will be back because of great service providers like these three.

Upon the time of check in and throughout the duration of my stay the staff was great. The to front desk staff that was the most overall helpful and very professional outstanding was Kim and Michael. They are the best. The breakfast was great. I love this hotel and will most definitely be back to this location. Thanks to the great service!

The first week I stayed there I was able to get the room for considerably less money than the second week. I tried to get the same price the second week and the staff wouldn't listen to reason. Even a comparable price would have been sufficient. I had occasion one day to come into to my room after a considerably long day at work and wanted to take a shower. I didn't have a shower curtain so I just put up some towels. It was okay for that shower and I told the Desk Clerk when I went to dinner. It was installed when I returned. Upon leaving I told the Desk Clerk I would be coming back and we needed to work on the price. She said she would get with her manager so I gave her my phone number for the manager to call. This has been a week ago and I haven't received a call. I will be there in Kinston for about three more weeks in the near future and hopefully we can work something out if she calls. If not, I will stay somewhere else.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Kinston, NC. I moved rooms four times. The faucet head in the shower fell off and hit me in the leg. The second room the shower head was falling out of the wall. The internet did not work in any of the rooms I was provided. The customer service representative stated my device may have issues due to the type. I was using an ipad. I switched to my android device and net book and it did not work on either of those platforms. I disproved their theory, by the way I work in communications and information technology is my field. The promise they place on the placard in the room the hotel did not honor. I had to call the corporate headquarters to only receive one night free. The customer representative was excellent but the manager was not willing to go the extra mile to honor the promise.

The overall stay was good. The hotel seem a little outdated. The bathroom in our room did not smell good at all. The walls in the bathroom looked as though there was a flood or something in the pass and left a stench that would not go away. That was a turn off for me. The breakfast was good and the employees were nice.

This is the second time of I have been to Kinston in the past few months and this is the second time I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. I have to say, the hotel is a little old, but everything is clean and in place. Front desk staff was very friendly and helped me with my needs. Breakfast is a perfect start to the day. I will be back again.

This a great hotel located in the main area of Kinston. Staff is very friendly and seems hotel was recently renovated. It is located next to a bunch of restaurants. Highly recommended.

The outside appeal was nice. I have a few complaints about two staff members. The guy that checked me in was a racist guy and so was the lady serving the breakfast. Let me first say that I'm not the type of person that ever goes around making comments like that. I am also in no way a racist person. When I walked in the hotel for the first time, to check in. I was second in line. When it was my turn the check in. The guy behind was asked if there was anything he needed. The guy working there was black and the guy behind me was black and I found it very strange that he ignored it being my turn and made me wait for the black guy behind me to get serviced first. I will let you create your own opinion on that, situation. The next morning at breakfast. The lady serving the breakfast (also black) would only daygoodmorning and smile to the black guest and only one out of several white people, was greeted with any kind of hospitality. Again, create your own judgment of that, situation. The food was good and the rooms were nice, clean and comfortable but the air conditioner barley worked but it wasn't that hot, that day so I didn't bother to complain. I will go to Goldsboro instead next time.

Stay in room 206. Inside of air conditioner vents were NASTY. Top of refrigerator was NASTY. the rest of the room looked like it had not been dusted in days.

I expereinced an Air conditioning problem where the room was not getting cool. When I called the front desk they told me that the maintenance man had left for the day.
They suggested that I move to another room. They brought the key to the new room up within 10 minutes and I moved about 6 doors down and had a comfortable stay.
Staff was very helpful and did what they could to make things right for me.

First thing I noticed when I arrived was how torn and tattered the US Flag was. Very disappointed that you would allow that to happen.
Otherwise, nice stay. Please go to the post office and obtain a new flag.

The room was adequate although the bathroom had been very poorly remodeled at some point. The property was difficult to get to, but the scenic view of the cemetery almost makes up for it. :)
It's the only hotel that is in the Priority Rewards network, so I'd stay there again if ever I have to return to the area.

Horrible. My room on the second day smelled of raw sewage. Several people I was travelling with had the problem the first night. Front desk said they would look into it. Heard nothing back from them. This is not an isolated instance after talking to several people.

The room was comfortable enough, but there was an issue with the Bathroom (smelled). Then Friday night a couple of Little League teams checked in and it was a meele. The kids thought it was great fun to run and yell up and down the hallways. Being a wood structure building the upstairs hallway resounded with the thudding of kids running around. Hotel Staff made no attempt to controll the situatiuon let alone the parents. Of course by 10 o'clock they quieted down, but 6 am came around pretty early. Management was sympethetic to the situation but maybe next year when the teams want to come back, management needs to lay down the rules to the coaches and parents.
