The staff, from the desk clerks to housekeeping, are friendly and eager to see that everything was better than OK. Breakfast offers many choices and the breakfast bar staff is eager to please. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed Bag My initial contact was not good. I did a 4 day reservation for my daughter, her spouse and their 7 year old son through "name your own price". When I called to make sure they had 2 beds the gentleman I was spoke with curtly informed me that "name your own price" booked a king size bed. I asked if they had two queens available and he said yes, but at a significant increase (more than if I had booked it through them.) I asked if they had a cot available and he informed me that they charged for a cot in the room and it was enough that I should just rent the room with 2 queens. I was taken aback, but since the visit was coming right up and I couldn't cancel the room without losing my money ("name your own price" has a no refund policy), so I upgraded. HOWEVER, when I checked in my daughter and her family, the gal at the front desk reduced the amount that was charged in the upgrade. My grandson loved the pool. Like others have stated the water is cold and the air in the pool area is almost oppressively hot...but the boy loved it nonetheless! The room was very clean and decent. They said the beds were rather hard but not terribly uncomfortable. The phone on their desk did not work and the phone on the nightstand between the beds wasn't even hooked up! They went down and ask for repair a couple of times, but after waiting without any assistance they decided that they would just use their cellphones (I believe they were informed that there were charges for local calls anyway.) They enjoyed the breakfast offered. There was sufficient parking and they were conveniently located. We will try some other hotels in the area first, but this wasn't so bad that we wouldn't use it in a pinch. January 16, 2014

I found the room to be in excellent condition and I appreciated having the mini frig and the microwave avaiable. The full breakfast was another good feature. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding Value for the Money Coming in from Michigan to spend the Holiday with my daughter, her husband and children. Nice Hotel. Out of the way of the beaten path. Nestled in location--almost hidden. Room was always cleaned well. Staff was most courteous. I thought they treated me special because I was a Rewards Club Member, but I observed they treated everyone like that. Location was good and bad. After several days of driving around the city, I still had a tendency of passing the drive because it was not well-marked with signage. But being from Michigan, our signs are quite expressive. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not too happy customer I receive a friendly welcome from the front desk and very polite. When I check out what they have. I found out the microwave was missing. I called the front desk twice took them almost two hour to find a microwave, try to make some coffee water leaked out from the bottom of the coffee machine. The swimming was so small just good for the kid, the picture they shown look like they have a big swimming that is false information, the fitness room was kind of small good for 3 people only January 1, 2014

The pillows are awful and they are all the same though they say soft and firm? You will need to update before I stay again. December 30, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok stay For a quick reservation, it was fine. The location is tricky. Pay attention. The room was nice, clean, comfortable. But, wi-fi was lost as soon as I reached my floor. It would only connect in the lobby. When my daughter brought this to the front desk attendant's attention she was told that it was working, There was nothing truly memorable about this stay and I was more than happy to reach the Ontario Mills location the next evening to redeem my Holiday Inn experience. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Represents the brand very well I enjoy staying at this Holiday Inn Express when traveling for work. It is in a very convenient location directly off of the freeway. The staff is excellent and always very accommodating, especially Rocky at the front desk in the evenings and several of the ladies who work at the desk and breakfast area in the mornings (sorry, I don't know their names!). The rooms here are very clean and overall the hotel does a great job representing the Holiday Inn Brand. Plus, their prices are extremely reasonable. We had no microwave in our room for some reason they had a new one installed w/in the hour. I travel to Lake Elsinore once a year and this hotel will be my destination from now on. October 28, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by CONCERNS I was disappointed in most of the common areas of this property. The hallway carpet, on the floor we stayed on, was beyond needed to be replaced. The wall outside the elevator on the first floor was beat up and needed repair. All of their wet floor caution signs were displayed everywhere although I never saw a wet floor or anyone mopping. Even the elevator had a wet floor sign stuck in the rail all the time I was there even though there wasn't ever a wet floor in the elevator. The elevator had veneer broken in it. The small swimming pool was unbearable from the chemical odor. We had to ask for the Holiday Inn Express' signature cinnamon rolls, 2 days they brought a couple of cold ones from the back and told us to wait until they warmed, the other 2 days we were told they had run out. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Booked 6 rooms & feeling EMPTY!!! Overall, I felt bad for booking the rooms at this IGH @ Lake Elsinore location. We were there for a family reunion with 6 rooms booked at the same hotel. Upon checking in, Courtney did not make us feel WELCOME at all. it seems we were a wasting her time. I am a member of IGH for reason. This experience had give me doubt about joining this club. Hoping sharing this review will help IGH to improve their services to others because we will not be back. When we couldn't get the TV to work (tuner box was dead), the desk clerk tried valiantly to find spare remotes, but it didn't fix the problem. By that time we discovered that the A/C wasn't working either (fan yes, cool no). Despite the clerk's repeated assertion that they were "fully booked", he went off to call his manager, then told us we were being moved down the hall; this room had functioning TV and A/C, and we were fine for the night. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good hotel..less than good service I recently stayed at this location for a 6 night trip. I travel weekly for business and on occasion my trips get cut shorter or go longer than expected. 2 days into this trip I found out it was getting cut short by one night. I notified the manager that I would like to reduce my stay by one night. On Friday he said that shouldn't be a problem but to get back to him on Monday(the day I needed to leave) to figure it out. after three phone calls from Monday to Wednesday, it went from removing that extra night, to giving me 20k point refund to end up being a 15k point refund. While I accepted this...what else was I going to do?...I was not very pleased with the service and communication. Being a platinum member and staying with IHG hotels almost every week, this is the first negative experience I've had. There has never been a problem with moving my schedule around in the past and every manager I've worked with has been excellent. I can only assume this was a problem with this locations manager and I will not be using that hotel in the future. There is another IHG hotel about 10 minutes further form this location and that is who will be getting my business. August 11, 2013
