We had a great room, exceptionally clean and comfortable, Staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was wonderful with a very good variety of choices. I would recommend this property to any traveler and will stay here again when the need arises. September 3, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fire alarm and water leak A leak (tub or toilet overflow) on the second floor caused a smoke detector to short out and sound the alarm. Staff went out of there way to provide water and snacks while we were displaced. After what seemed like 10 times as long as it should have taken to figure out what had caused the alarm and to allow people back into the rooms it was over. In the future having small radios for the staff to use during emergencies would have shortened the time guests were inconveinanced August 28, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hiccup in service? We've stayed at this property several times before, and always enjoyed the friendly staff, and great breakfast. This stay, things were a bit off. The woman attending the front desk was quite rude to my wife when she asked for help with the exercise room. She also ignored us when we left the property, and we said our goodbye. We also found the breakfast not quite as tasty as in the past. The omelets were bland and cool, and the orange juice was watery. We'll stay again, but I hope that we find the previous level of service the next time. August 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relax weary travelers - Frazier Park is an excellent stop for weary travelers who are creeping over the Grapevine and want a fresh start in the morning with some beautiful views and a hot coffee. The hotel is clean, cozy, and the staff is wonderful. Be sure to make time for their excellent breakfast selection before you head out. It is now my "traditional" stop on driving trips to LA that aren't under the wire. Cheers. August 16, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Hotel; Great Free Breakfast; Friendly Staff This is a wonderful hotel and a great place to stop while traveling on the grapevine (I-5). The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the free hot breakfast is delicious. Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits, sausage gravy, make-it-yourself pancakes, pastries, cereal, coffee, hot chocolate, juices ... There are some restaurants and fast food places, as well as gas stations, at the same freeway stop, if you're craving lunch or dinner. The two gentlemen at the front desk were superb - great service. The only thing that marred the experience was that the girl at the front desk on the afternoon that we checked out was a bit rude, but since we were leaving it didn't matter. There is freeway construction around various freeway exits, so it would probably be wise to contact the hotel and ask the best route to the property. All in all, this was a very peaceful stay, and I give the Holiday Inn Express Frazier Park five stars all around. I highly recommend it, and we will be staying there the next time we travel the grapevine. June 27, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sometimes, good things are found at the most unexpected locations. Holiday Inn Express has never let me down and this stay reinforced why I keep using the brand. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location. One of a few important deciding factors for my hotel choice includes the quality of the beds. HIE got this part right! From the I-5 exit ramp, this location appears to be another typical truck-stop esque spot with the usual choke 'n puke, greasy spoon diners and spartan style lodging. HIE classed it up and made the Lebec exit our favorite waypoint between Phoenix and Sacramento. We'll be back. June 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Trust But Verify Your GPS! This hotel was a perfect stopping point for our south-to-north trip. Everything was exactly as expected for this stays-at-HIE-a-lot Platinum Member. The only warning is not to trust your GPS. The staff is well trained on this and there is even a billboard on the 5 to this effect. Take Exit 205 and you're there, no matter what your GPS says. The hotel gronds are well kept, rooms are clean and functional, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is as expected, delicious and complimentary. I will return here for future pit stops. It was clean, comfortable, quiet - very nice. I like that they have a pool and a work out room. If we were there more than one night and had time to enjoy another day, having those amenities there is perfect. Will definitely stay there again if the need arises. You won't be disappointed. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Customer Service has declined at this property... We have stayed at this hotel 10 times in the past 2 years, as we travel between AZ and Northern California. We travel with our dog and always call first to be sure the 2 Bed Suite is available. Most of the time it is, and it works out great for us. This past visit (2/15/13), the room was not available. We were slated for a small room and asked to be moved, which did happen after a lengthy delay, to room 117 instead of our favorite 122. At midnight the desk clerk called our room to ask how many dogs we had in our room. She woke me up from a sound sleep and then I couldn't get back to sleep. I called back to ask her how she thought calling us at midnight was a good idea. She said she just saw the "man" walking one of our dogs. I assured her the "man" had not just been out with the dog. In the morning I complained to the front desk, since I had reserved our dog, checked in our dog and even had to ask for the DOG IN ROOM doorknob sign that they seem to always forget to give us. The morning desk clerk said she had heard about the "problem" and apologized. I told her after 10 visits in less than 2 years, she needed to do more than apologize. I expected to see a credit on our bill when I checked out, but apparently the staff didn't feel that waking us up in the middle of the night, and keeping us from having a good night sleep while traveling, was their problem. We WON'T stay there again. Valencia has tons of hotels as does Bakersfield; we do not have to stay in Lebec with a staff that is so ineffecient and rude. February 22, 2013

Restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel are limited to a Mexican restaurant (very good) and Denny's. Like most hotel rooms, room lighting is inadequate for reading, paperwork, etc. All in all, this is a very good place to stay. February 1, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not given my points and charged too much On this stay I reserved ahead and got a rate that was $20-30 more than if I had walked in and gotten a room last minute. Also, the rate at this hotel is about $20 more than comparable hotels in the area but we usually stayed here because we liked the staff and felt comfortable. The last couple of visits there seems to be new staff that are not so helpful. When I asked for a second water at check in because it was quite late and we had been on the road awhile, (I am a Priority member and didn't want the "snack" just an extra water) I was told no. Seemed pretty cheap to me. Our last visit,when I checked out, they gave me a bill with someone else's name on it and said "Oh, for some reason you are registered into a different room" gave me a correct bill and then I never got my points for the stay. We always stayed here on our way to LA in the past and made a point of going to other HI expresses because we were impressed by this one but never again. Why pay more and get less?? November 29, 2012
