Overall the hotel service was slow, the check in staff couldn't find my confirmation,it seemed like what was an age to allocate my room.
The dinner service took an hour and I was offered 2 meals that I hadn't orderd, I waited more 15 minutes at the bar to be served.
At breakfast the milk had run out and it took 15 mins to get the machine refilled.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bondys mum Perfect postion for the Armouries and Leeds City centre
Lovely warm welcome after a very long journey up the M1.
The public rooms are a delight, with comfortable seating and large windows with a coffee machine @ £1.50 . Even the stairs were spotless (I was on the 4th floor) which I am sure many folk do not use but in comparison with a recent stay in a 4 star hotel in Gloucester they were immaculate.
Breakfast had plenty of choice and was hot and tasty.
Complimentary newspaper always well received.
I would definitely stay here again.
The only downside being that my bedroom was beginning to look a little shabby and the bathroom also needs a little TLC. However it was spotlessly clean and the bedding was of good quality. A good nights sleep was had.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GrandadB12 Easy access to City and relaxing.
The hotel has easy, walking distance access to City centre, train station and museums/canal.
Staff were polite, helpful and friendly.
Rooms were clean and comfortable, and quiet.
Breakfast was just right and available up to 10am.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AC18 Great base for Leeds
We had stopped at this Holiday Inn previously and were provided with the same great service as before.
Pleasant staff to greet us and a nice clean, comfortable room too. Easy access to Leeds , we used the free water taxi service from just outside the Armouries to ge to the train station.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by durhamdown All rather slapdash
I'm sorry, I'm normally a fan of Holiday Inn (and Express) hotels - I have a Gold card and even have shares! - but this was the worst of those I have stayed in recently. Check-in was slow and I was made to feel unwelcome for turning up before 2pm. The doorkey didn't work so I had to return to reception. The sofa in my room appeared to be broken. Soap dispensers were awkward and mean, the toilet button very stiff, ditto the door handle. Worst of all, on the Thursday I returned at 9.30pm from a v long journey to be told the kitchen was closed so if I wanted food I should go to Tesco (though your literature says there is food until 10pm). All this for almost £100 a night. Nothing, perhaps, worth complaining about but all very disappointing.

Good place to stay for business in Leeds. Close enough to city centre with a nice city-scape, river-side walk

So convenient for where we wanted to be. The price was great. The service was friendly and everything I expected from Holiday Inn.
