Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mold sell The first room they gave me the min you opened the door the mold smell hit you it was really bad, I went downstairs and they gave me a new room a few doors down from the first, this room did not smell as bad as the first and I think it had to do with the A/C blowing and I was able to sleep in the room but the smell was still there. There is no way they do not know how bad the mold smell is in these rooms and yet they have not removed the problem. November 1, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mybuddy Needed a handicap room for my father, it was on the second floor at the end of a long hallway. Not appropriate for a older person who has trouble navigating. The room was musty smelling, the hallways carpets badly stained, very smelly, walls in need of repair. All in all it was not a good stay and we will not be using this location in the future. The hot breakfast? I was told the person did not show up for work that day? We have used HIE on many occasions and I was very, very disappointed with this location. October 15, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My recent stay The front desk staff, the dining area staff, and housekeepers were all helpful and very nice. The only problem I had was my room was damp. It had a musty smell, I think from the air conditioner. They probably need to upgrade their system since the radiator smelled funny. They did offer to exchange my room, but it was too difficult for me to move all my stuff once settled. At times, the internet was slow. And, the business center is worthless. The computers don't have Microsoft word or Adobe Reader, so it made it impossible to print anything. September 26, 2014

However, the staff at this hotel is very friendly, and very helpful. I'm used to staying at 3 star hotels, and I found this to be very comparable. It is the nicest hotel in the area by far. * Also, the portable crib is not a pack and play like in other hotels. It really is a metal bar crib, with a small mattress that didn't fill the whole area. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible bed/Fair service We checked in late, and all staff were off except the desk clerk. When we entered our room, the air was blasting, the curtains open (room was in the front of the hotel), and the room smelled stale. My first thought was to go buy air freshener ASAP. We did note that the bed was hard, but did not notice a stain on part of the top linens until the next morning. Also, there was no shower curtain, so we managed for the first night. This was reported to the desk and taken care of (shower curtains and stains). The TV would shut off at random, and we could never adjust the refrigerator temperature. The breakfast bar leaves a lot to be desired. This hotel is probably the better of the Live Oak hotels, but it could stand some much needed improvements. September 16, 2014

I really like the Live Oak area as my wife and I have camped there several times, but this was the first time I needed to have a hotel room in Live Oak. I considered staying in Lake City, but was very glad I made the choice to stay in this property! The staff were extremely friendly and the property was clean and well maintained. I had absolutely no issues with the property at all during my stay, which was Wednesday through Friday nights. I would definitely stay here again in the future and will consider staying here for some of the great festivals in the area instead of camping!! August 21, 2014
