Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service We always stay at Holiday Inn Express when we travel because we know what we can expect. The beds at this Inn were harder than we have encountered at Holiday Inn but everything was clean and comfortable. My only complaint about this particular Holiday Inn was the room deodorizer that was all over the building. Because I have allergies it was difficult to breathe at times. The smell was not in the room but in the hallways and public areas as well as the lobby. Wish they wouldn't use it. Also wish Holiday Inn would cook fresh scrambled eggs instead of frozen. Would probably be cheaper and not much trouble but that holds true for all and not just this location. Employees were extremely friendly. The suite was large though the furniture placement was ackward. That said, would definitely stay again (if they get rid of that deodorizer). January 30, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I had a different experience I read all the poor reviews and was a little nervous making my reservation but I really needed to stay in the Live Oak area. When I checked in the staff were friendly, the room was spotless clean, the room rate was reasonable, the breakfast meal was very good, the heat worked perfectly, in short everything was just fine. I do not understand what the problem is that people are complaining about, this is a nice hotel. January 2, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This hotel disappoints This hotel has disappointed us on two different occasions! While this hotel is convenient to the highway and has restaurant locations close by, we have found the hotel to be dirty and in need of painting on both occasions. During our first stay we found dirt in the hallways and on the room rug. The hallways also needed painting. We decided to try it again about a year later and found that conditions had not improved!! This is unfortunate as we stay at Holiday Inn Express locations whenever possible but will avoid this location in the future. Almost all other locations are much nicer than this one. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel needs makeover! My wife and I stayed in room 215 and considered the hotel just average. We came in rather late on 10/06/2012 and the front desk clerk was very friendly and more than willing to answer all of our questions. The room was okay but needed help. Draperies were hanging askew furniture was soiled, carpet should be cleaned and lighting in the bathroom was not good. Breakfast was average but the breakfast lady was very helpful. Our opinion is that the hotel does, in fact, need to be updated. October 17, 2012
