Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Grace5K courteous front desk and kitchen staff
Staff are well trained and espoused excellent customer service values. Staff are willing to do what it takes to resolve issues and make a family's stay very pleasant.
The kitchen staff are the most hardworking we have ever seen: polite and quick, with a good eye for attention to details. They refill the food trays without any guest prompting. They are very personable and should be a model for all others in the chain. It is difficult to say which staff gave their best but Rachel at front desk was exceptional.
My family had a great time.
Thank you all for your dedicated service.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hilly53 Great Location and Superb Staff
The Hotel is ideally located and Central to most things.
As the Hotel is right on the busy Finchley Road we experienced a lot of noise as our Room was at the front of the Hotel.
We were delighted at the care and attention the Staff extended to us and other people. A Lady called Hasina was absolutely exceptional and nothing was too much trouble for her - fantastic !!
WE would stay there again but would ask for a room at the rear of the Hotel

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent overall holiday experience
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Swiss Cottage during our 14 night holiday in London.
This was an extremely satisfying experience. The hotel staff is very professional and friendly. The guest room was very neat and comfortable. The breakfast every morning was more than adequate.
The hotel's location in relation to the tube station and bus routes was a big plus.
We can recommend the Holiday Inn Express Swiss Cottage to anyone as real value for money!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Boroboy14 Great base for exploring London.
All you expect from HIE, clean tidy and comfortable rooms with helpful staff.
Where this hotel scores is it's location, I drove to London and this hotel is easy to find and outside the congestion rip off zone, Finchley Road tube is 100 yards away and only 4 stops from Bond Street.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bevs Overall good experience
Please be careful of bar prices, we were charged 3 different prices for 2 drinks over a 1 1/2 hour period - the second round went up by £1:80 at one point, but on the last round, they tried to charge us an extra £3 saying it was the night prices! We left and went to bed!
Very sharp practise, we noticed because we only had 2 drinks, in a crowd they may have got away with it.
Other staff very helpful, hotel well placed and convenient.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nick89 Wonderful staff and great service
I have stayed at this hotel regularly when in London over the past few years. There is always a warm welcome from the excellent staff, the rooms are always clean and comfortable. There is a good choice at breakfast, with excellent filter coffee.
Hasina and the staff make a real effort to make myself and colleagues feel welcome. The location is convenient for central London, it is within walking distance of West Hampstead, Hampstead Heath and Lords Cricket Ground, and a short bus or train ride from Camden. There are great shops and restaurants nearby. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ac0935p It's a Holiday Inn Express on a busy London Road
So it's a Holiday Inn Express - but one that tries to differentiate itself from others by providing an excellent standard of service. As a regular user of this hotel I appreciate the welcoming and helpful attitude of the whole team, especially the front desk. My bookings frequently change, but the reservations team do their very best to accommodate the chaos that I cause.
Services in the hotel have been improved over the last year with a much better TV service. The internet access is also of a high quality, providing better speed and reliability than many hotels.
The hotel also does its best to recognize my Platinum Ambassador status. The rooms are all standard, so no upgrade is possible, but small touches like free wifi access and bottles of water provided in the room are appreciated and make the stay an excellent experience overall.
All hotels should learn from this one.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by phoby Staff reception
The staff reception was too slow to serve me, I had to wait more than normal time , Also for several times reception kept me waiting for more than 10 min over the phone until the line went dead. The receptionist said she was alone serving more than one client ate same time. This really frustrating to me,

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jams76 Smelliest toilet ever!
This room was at best average but the worst part was the horrible stench in the bathroom. The overpowering urine smell which spilled out into the room and made it unbearable to be in the room was by far the worst part of our stay. When we were checking out we asked the front desk guy if he would call us a taxi. He wouldn't. He looked at me like I'd asked him the most ridiculous favour. As well, what is the deal with the 1 hour free wifi a day. The least you could do is offer complimentary wifi with the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 If you are a Platinum Member don't expect beter
I stay one night at this hotel. If I compare with holiday inn express in USA this hotel is the badest one. Room very small and the meciliniance was poor. Room very clean but suitable for one. If you platinum member at IHG you will receive nothing no upgrade, no newspaper, no bottel of water, no late chick out and no welcoming you as you excepect. Breakfast was good. No variety but I think it's good start. Closer to hotel you will find 3 large supermarkets.
The best thing that the hotel well connected to tube and bus station the nearst tube is the finchley road station with one menut walk and the bus stop on front of the hotel. Staff very polit and helpfully. Hotel is very small hotel. It has one par only. The receptionist informed me that she try to hold amount from my credit card before I arrived which not good because I arrived the hotel at 3pm and I can cancel the reservation without penalties till 4 pm. I didn't like her action and I think this is not acceptable issue.
Swiss cottage is very calm eria so you can expect to do nothing. There are many restaurants close to the hotel such as Dominos pizza, piza Expres, KFC and McDonald.
The nearst center is O2 opsit the hotel. There are many massage centers but I didn't use it. Nearst cinema is Odeon cinema also there is a library and theater.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Auditor17 A brilliant renovation - excellent value
Spent three nights in early May. Had a room at the back of the hotel and it was clean and quiet. Only minus point is that there is very little storage place - just a short rail for hanging jacket and trousers, no drawers and no safe. Just about fine for a short stay.
The staff and services provided were very good indeed. The breakfast, included in the price, is adequate. However, the hotel was full and finding a table required some patience. The buffet breakfast area is rather small and has no surfaces on which to put the tray, all a precarious balance. On the other hand, just across the road, at the O2 centre you can have a proper cooked breakfast for around 6 pounds without the hassle.
The front desk arranged a minicab for us to go to Victoria and this proved to be very good in quality and price. Have every intention to stay at the HIE Swiss Cottage in future visits.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Baffo60 Staff amicable and helpful, room clean, convenient location
The hotel is located very conveniently close to eating courts and to public transport, only minutes away from Central London. Tthe staff is very nice, professional, helpful and cheerful. The room not big but it was clean and well furnished for a short stay. My only remark would regard the food offered for breakfast: large choice buffet but not excellent quality. Scramble eggs nedd improvement!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Excellent reception staff and location
I stayed with my family (1 child) in a family room in April. The reception staff were excellent and friendly and my son was delighted to speak to one of them in Hungarian (a bonus for him!). The breakfast choices were varied and the quality of food was also very good. Coffee average :o)
If you are a light sleeper it is worth asking for a room away from facing the Finchley Rd as it will be noisy (this is London after all).
Excellent Bus and Tube links right outside the door and also the coach drop off from Luton is outside the door if required.
Draught beer prices at the bar are reasonable for a hotel.
Would certainly stay again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DAddyDoc One night break
My wife and II brought three teenagers to London to see a show.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, close to shopping centre with a variety of eating places, close to the tube. Overall an excellent location for what we needed.
Only downside is that the breakfast was a little over crowded - as every one arrived at the same time, keen to be up and about.
I would recommend this hotel

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by lenin The best of the ordinary
Nothing truly outstanding or exceptional about the hotel itself. However, for an ordinary mid-price London hotel there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the place. Comfortable, clean and very obliging staff. Rooms cramped but on the occasions we've stayed here the hotel has been respectably quiet. Its greatest advantage is its location on the Finchley Road.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VBee Very modern and clean, great service
We stayed here for 2 nights with our 4 month old baby and my parents (one family room and one twin room). Both rooms were very clean and modern with everything we needed. The location was very convenient-only a 5 minute walk from the tube and a good shopping centre with restaurants just opposite the hotel. All the staff were very friendly and professional-receptionists, cleaners, kitchen staff, etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for value for money and a handy location.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by marko68 Friendly hotel, Excellent quality
Stayed for 2 nights with my wife and 2 sons. The reception staff on arrival were really friendly and welcoming and our check in was 1/2 hour earlier than it should have been. The room offered all that we needed with space to hang our clothes and a well furnished bathroom. The only downside was the bed that my sons had to sleep on which was so uncomfortable they did well to sleep at all, but that is the only downside to this excellent hotel. Breakfast offered plenty of variety for all and all items regularly replenished. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lana14004 Friendly and responsive staff
My son and I came off a very rocky transatlantic flight and landed on the day England got the most snow it's had in decades. We made our way to the hotel in freezing temperatures and slush and hail. The hotel was crowded but we were able to get a hot breakfast and early check-in to our rooms. What a god-send the staff was to take care of us so quickly. The room and hotel always very clean. THe only downside was the poor selection of television channels. THey need to update their TV offerings.

The staff were so welcoming, we have stayed at a few Holiday Inn Express and this was the best so far which was such a pleasant surprise in a central London location. Excellent value. Very close to underground which is a short journey to most tourist destinations.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bigjohnt Nice hotel, great location, really friendly staff
This is your standard HIE but the staff are all excellent, helpful, friendly and nice. The location, just 5 minutes from the tube station ( and 8 minutes into the west end), is spot on. As a Priority club member we were recognised with free newspapers and free wifi which was very welcome.
Our only negative comment is about breakfast, the food area is tiny, with nowhere to balance your tray, and gets very congested with just a few people. There is also a very minor issue that they have both the tv news as well as background music playing which is a bit much. I will certainly be returning to this hotel at the earliest opportunity
