Holiday Inn Express Hotels can be a bit hit and miss in terms of service, cleanliness and comfort. The HI Express Wimbledon South is one of the better ones that I stayed in. Everything as expected from a HI Express. Staff could be friendlier and parking charges are a bit overpriced. Otherwise not too bad and will return.

Excellent staff, front office was always helpful and courteous. Breakfast was very good, but needed more variety.
Room was air-conditioned (thankfully)
Will stay here again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by EMD12 Efficient hotel with a business feel
This hotel has the feel of a modern business hotel, suited to a no-frills short business stay.
The room had a modern feel and as a family we used the sofa bed and cot as well, which were in excellent condition.
We stayed in a room at the front of the hotel and did experience some road noise. The hotel is on the main road taken by the ambulances to St Georges in Tooting so expect some sirens.
The breakfast is mainly continental with a small selection of cooked items, although there was a shortage of plates and beans.
Secure parking is available beneath the hotel for an additional fee.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by erm16 Great and convenient location
I love that the hotel serves breakfast, very close to the subway station and has nearby groceries and restaurants. The room is smaller than I expected or compared to US standards. They do not have face towels or wash clothes. We stayed there for 4 days and the hot breakfast choices were always the same - scrambled eggs, sausage and beans. I was hoping that they the hotel would at least change the menu selection every other day but unfortunately the choices were the same. The room, lobby and corridors are clean. Wi-Fi was free but at certain times can be slow.

Once again a very satisfactory stay at this hotel. Although not in central London it is very easy to get into all of the attractions . The rooms are always very clean and comfortable. The cooked breakfast does unfortunately not come up to the same standard.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AngelTiger Great Service & lovely staff
The duty Manager (sorry I couldn't remember his name) was wonderful during our visit. All the staff were very helpful. My only criticism was the Bed which should really be upsized to a KING size. It was more like a double bed. We had two families occupying two separate rooms, but apart from this everything else was fantastic and probably the bed would not have mattered if we had chosen a shorter stay. Also, it is very close to tube stations, etc making it very convenient.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Southwood285 A good overnight stay
This hotel is conveniently located near a tube station on the Northern Line and not far from Wimbledon centre.
The room was functional ,the bed comfortable with good sized TV .The complimentary drinks tray ( tea /coffee ) did not have enough milk for more than one cup each ie either a pre bed drink or a wake up drink but not both.
Air con was efficient and bathroom was okay but difficult for two to use together.
The blackout curtains were v effective.
The buffet breakfast was adequate for choice except limited cooked items and no bacon.
Overall good value for the level of accommodation esp in SW London. Better than Premier Lodge except the limited availability of car parking space could cause late arrivals some problems.
