Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great personal service & comfort Staff were very friendly and worked hard to get us a room quickly after the one we were allocated had not been vacated as expected. Room was comfortable, though a bit small (especially those with an extra bed rather than a sofa), but adequate for the short stay. Breakfast was tasty and appetizing It was easy to get to & from the airport, walking took just over 5 minutes and both free and paid buses were available if required I'd certainly return there, this is about the 5th time I have been to this hotel. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by disappointing welcome We arrived about 9 pm, tired and hungry after a long journey. At check in we were told that the kitchen closed at 9.30 so if we wanted to eat we should order straight away. Which we duly did. It took OVER AN HOUR for our meals to arrive. Staff were apologetic, but the bottom line is that the kitchen simply could not cope with more than a few orders at once. The food when it finally came was disappointing: overcooked burger and chips which had obviously been kept warm for hours while the staff dealt with some other order. In fairness, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was a bargain, with drinkable coffee, nice bread, and freshly cooked eggs. But my recommendation to other late arriving guests would be to make sure you get dinner at the airport! July 31, 2014

Very friendly and helpful staff, the minute we arrived they already had everything ready, the room and shower facilities were brilliant the pillows and bed are the best I have had in a hotel for a while, really appricate it that at last I have found a hotel chain that actually invests in this so important area, specially when you come from a long journey and you arrive to this comfort ness !! Like I said before I would highly recommend to all my friends and family to definitely reserve a room with holiday inns especially the one in Luton airport which is the one I stayed in, I hadn't picked holiday inns before but as from now I will definitely look for holiday inns before any other chains, thank you and keep it up!!!! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One night prior to early flight Good room with all expected facilities, staff very accommodating, I needed a 4 way extension lead and it was provided in 5 minutes, also provided maps to local pizza restaurant as we arrived after the hotel restaurant had closed. Only negative was the quality of breakfast, little choice and poor quality, shame as this affected the overall experience. Staff however could not do enough to help. July 29, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to usual standard Our previous stays at the Luton Airport hotel have been excellent, but this stay was a disappointment. The bathroom was smelly (I think it was the shower curtain) and one of the bathroom lights didn't work, and the breakfast was below standard (awful, weak and watery orange 'juice', burnt toast, stale croissants). Also, two of the three beers at the bar weren't available. The staff were also less efficient and friendly than the normally are (although still OK). For some reason our stay cost us much more than before, too, so the poorer experience was even more unfortunate. I have always happily recommended this hotel, but if we get the same poorer quality experience and have to pay as much next time, it will be the last time we use it. July 24, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Luton airport Convenient location but no dedicated bus transfer. No signs at the airport how to get to the hotel. Probably a 10 - 15 minute walk if the weather is ok. Reception could only say that the buses in the morning were "about every 10 to 15 minutes. " £6 taxi ride. Recognition for platinum membership was one free drink between 2 of us. Not consistent with other hotels in the same chain. Very average microwaved food. Very busy in July and very expensive for the standard of hotel. All those winter stays don't count when they can take advantage in high summer season. July 21, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Best sleep in a hotel...ever On arrival I was greeted warmly, and my check-in was very quick. I was informed of the meal times for the evening and following morning's breakfast, then directed to my room with easy directions. The room was well presented with a selection of pillows of different firmness. I unpacked my belongings then headed back out to reception to enquire as to the best way to get to my destination for the following day. The clerk was knowledgable of the area, and the directions and timings were accurate. After I had scouted the area, I returned for evening meal. Although it was an excellent meal, I thought the price was a little high. When I retired, I was surprised at the quietness of the room, as my room faced the airport runway and a fairly busy road. I usually have trouble getting to sleep in unfamiliar beds, but I had a very good sleep at this hotel. Breakfast did not have as much of a selection as some hotels in the similar category I have stayed in, but that which was available was of a good quality. As my business for the day was close by, I left the car in the carpark of the hotel, and was asked to pay the fee on checking out after breakfast. I explained my intention to the clerk on reception, who confirmed that the overnight parking fee would be all that was needed, so long as I did not exceed a total of 24 hours in the car park. When I picked the car up later that day I exited the car park with no difficulty and incurred no further charges. July 16, 2014

I always have a great sleep. i enjoy the layout of the hotel. the staff are super friendly. I like the facilities and the breakfast in the morning. its a great place to stay before a flight out or just as a base to visit other spots. 10/10. Go and find out for yourself. July 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable room and great service I loved the room, which was very comfortable. The bed was big, and it had two different types of pillows (soft and hard). The windows were very well isolated, which enabled me to sleep without earplugs despite the fact that there was a lot of noise outside (but nothing could be heard from inside!). The TV had a great quality, with a very good offer of channels and information on the programs. The bathroom was clean and big, with good quality of towels and enough light. The service at the Restaurant was very slow but the food quality was excellent! And the breakfast was served from 4.30am, which enabled me to eat before being at the Terminal at 6.30am. Finally, the Hotel is located within a 5 minutes walking distance from the Airport, which is extremely convenient if you have to take an early flight. Overall, a great experience, and a highly recommended Hotel! July 11, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by use as airport hotel THIS HOTEL IS NOT A WELCOMINGH ONE FIRSTLY BECAUSE THERE IS NOT ENOUGH PARKING ROOM WHICH IS A PROBLEM FOR LATE ARRIVALS. THE ROOMS ARE ONLY OK. FACILITIES FOR MAKING A DRINK WERE SPARSE, THE BED HAD TOO HEAVY A DUVET AND THE PILLOWS WERE TOO FULL MAKING FOR A CRICK IN THE NECK KIND OF SLEEP. THE BREAKFAST IS SELF SERVICE WITH THE MINIMUM OF CHOICE AND NOT VERY WARM. ALTOGETHER OUR VERDICT IS A HOTEL WHICH TRIES TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK BECAUSE IT IS NEAR AN AIRPORT. NO EFFORT MADE TO CREATE A WARM AMBIENCE PERHAPS BECAUSE IT RUNS ON MINIMUM STAFF LEVELS. NOT GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. July 5, 2014

Our Girl Scout Troop had to leave England a day earlier than planned so showed at Holiday Inn Express at midnight in hopes that they could accommodate us even though they had nothing available when I spoke with them earlier that day. Luckily, they were able to accommodate us due to cancellations. Mark and Lee were eager to help us and just simply spend time talking with us and the girls. We really appreciated the smiles and laughter after a long exhausting day! Thanks for making the world a better place! June 21, 2014

The room was very comfortable and clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We thought it would be noisy but in fact it was very quiet, you couldn´t hear anything from outside. The quality is level is at least what you expect from a HIE - in fact this is perhaps one of the better ones I have used. It is also better than some of the other hotels at/near the airport. Staff were helpful and friendly, everything worked well, the food was pretty good, and overall it was a good stay. June 19, 2014

Unusually we could have 3 adults in one room, so it brought the cost down considerably. We were grateful that breakfast was available very early, and was of good quality - lovely pastries! Firstly did you know that the taxi cabs at Luton Airport do not like dropping clients off to that hotel as the fair isn't worth their while. So Holiday Inn would want to have a 'chat' with the company running the taxi rank at the airport, as this does not bode well for the beginning of a stay at one of your establishments, On arrival at the hotel the reception person was prompt in checking me in, but his appearance #a ponytail and a suit which was far too big on him# needs to be addressed. On arrival to the room #I am a sole traveller# my room had a double bed and a double sofa bed made up so literally I had the hallway beside the toilet to walk around and park my suitcase. The TV had no clear guidance and the channel choice was very poor. The lighting in the room was circa 1983 and of poor quality. The Bathroom was basic. The complete ambience of the room was so poor that all I could do was to turn off the light and sleep, as the place warranted nothing else. The breakfast the next morning was congealed food in a heated oven, dining room was untidy with no staff attendence to wipe tables or clear the dirty/ used plates trolly. Although the free Independent newspaper was a nice service touch. I checked out as quick as I checked in, never to return to this hotel or Luton Airport. Just not good enough anymore, regardless of the value for money ethos. June 5, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 1 nights stay after returning from Crete. Service when arrived at 1am was okay. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Breakfast choice was rubbish, tables were not cleaned from all the easyjet staff that had stayed the night. When it was time to leave car park ticket machine wanted to charge us £16 for less than 8hours stay . The receptionist told us there was £5 to pay. this is the first time we have had to pay car parking fees for an overnight stay. We will certainly not be staying with Holiday Inn Express again!
