We stayed overnight here while visiting our son in Brooklyn.
The hotel was very spacious in contrast to other NYC Holiday Inns. We appreciated the extra large suite, free parking, and close proximity to I-495. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was that it isn't near any public transportation but the staff gladly arraigned to have a car sent for us. We will stay here from now on and recommend it highly.
We had to leave too early for breakfast so are unable to review the choices.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mik7117 Great little hotel!
Clean modern room, with an above average sized TV. Good breakfast with lots of choices. I was really satisfied on all fronts. I'll be in the area on an off for the next couple years, and will undoubtedly be staying here. Thank you to the staff for a totally comfortable stay!

One of the main reason we stayed here is because it's the only hotel near Manhattan that has free parking. Staff are friendy

The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The bed was very comfortable, I usually don't sleep well in hotels but this was a welcome change. The room was a little small but livable. The in-room refrigerator was nice but ours needed shelves and door brackets inside and it really needed to be on some sort of table or stand, to have to get down on the floor to put items in the refrigerator, was a bit much. The stall shower needs some type of bench or raised island, my wife had difficulties shaving, and I had to put our cooler in the shower for her. The breakfast was just ok, the omelets were overdone and the turkey sausage was a round gray flavorless disc. All in all the stay was very nice and the staff was excellent. I would and will recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this area.

We went to NYC for ThanksGiving and the Macy's Day Parade - for 4 days. I viewed hotels all over the city and chose this hotel - just outside the city. My children had visited this hotel in the summer. The journey into Manhattan was minimal - the hotel has transport to the subway on schedule. Return is a short $12 cab from the station. The staff is friendly and a pleasure to speak with. The shuttle driver is happy to make the trip and provide tips as well. The rooms are very clean and up to date. I slept better than I had in a long time! The room is spacious - even for a family of four - with teenagers.
The neighborhood to the bus stop is quite nice - someplace I could see myself living.
All in all - Maspeth is a choice I would make again.
