Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good night's sleep in older hotel. This hotel was not as clean or new as the HIE that we stayed in the night before. This is an older hotel, but the bathroom could stand some freshening up. The caulk in the bath was old and dark and the rooms could stand some updates. Overall, a comfortable stay with a relatively clean room for an older venue. Breakfast choices were somewhat limited, but I got there 15 minutes prior to closing. August 15, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Would never stay here again It smelled musty and like a bad nursing home. As soon as we entered our room, we saw a spider and a big bug on the curtain. There was a bunch of brown stains on the wall by the tv at the end of the bed. We could hear people walking around above us. The carpet seemed very old and dirty. The bathroom was very small. You had to open and close the door just to navigate around the toilet to get into the shower. The free breakfast was awful aside from the cinnamon rolls and prepackaged oatmeal and bananas. The juice machine dispensed lukewarm juice. I filled a water cup and then saw a brown floating piece in it when I began to drink that - after being grossed out by the lukewarm juice. There were 3 trashcans around the dining area which were all overflowing with plates, etc. and it was only 8 AM. The worker for the food area was just sitting in the supply room looking at their phone. We also had to ask for pancake mix to be added to the pancake maker. Very grossed out and regretted booking our room there. Will choose another place when passing through the area again. We have always been satisfied with Holiday Inn Expresses, but this was a disappointing surprise. August 6, 2014

Several items were reported as not working or needing attention, and were never addressed while we were there. Will not return. The only horrible experience ever encountered with Holiday Inn!! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Non-smoking room not available We were able to get a room, but it was a smoking room. Not the most pleasant smell. They tried to help and sprayed some room freshener. Everything else was good. Lots of motels have gone to completely non-smoking. Not sure why this one wasn't. Oh well, it was a good night's sleep and yummy breakfast once we were sleeping. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Dirty Beds Checked into this hotel and the clerk had us on the second floor and she decided to put us in a room on the first floor, then we had to be moved to another room because the TV did not work. The next room looked ok from the outside, but once we went to bed we found one of the beds to have hair on the sheets, blood on a pillow. The other bed had stains on the sheets, tried calling the front desk an no one answered the phone. The next morning at check out early the front desk clerk was having trouble getting into the computer and seemed more concerned about that issue than to discuss the problems we had. We ended up leaving without our receipt. August 3, 2014
