Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by pool The pool was closed for cleaning when we arrived on Sunday, the front desk stated that they were trying to have it open by Monday morning and stated that we could have a late check out on Monday to enjoy the pool. We have a 7 and 10 year old and primarily chose this hotel for the indoor pool. The next morning the pool was still closed and when asking the front desk, they stated that maintance was in the building and it should be opening, well we never saw anyone in the pool area and it was still closed when we checked out. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quick Get-Away We wanted to take a quick trip to Newport, and this location looked good. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see a Welcome Board at the front desk with our name on it. We were able to access our room immediately upon arrival and were even up-graded to a suite. With the weekend weather forecast being problematic, we asked about the possibility of extending our stay, if desired. We were assured that we would be able to do that, although we might have to change rooms (fair enough). The woman attending the breakfast area on Saturday morning, was a manager's "dream employee". I wish I had gotten her name. She kept everything clean and tidy and well replenished, and did it all with the most pleasant demeanor. Sadly, too often these type of performances go un-noted, even though they are very positive enhancements, of the stay experience. April 14, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel but cold room. Room was cold. Heat not working properly for some reason. Overall staff was nice, but they were off dealing with something else during checkout time. I waited for almost 15 minutes before being able to check out and I was already in a hurry. April 6, 2016
