Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Experience This was a joke - this hotel is apparently understaffed or people just don't show up to work. Not enough staff in the evening to cover check ins and nobody there to make breakfast in the morning. The room was very sub par - just barely acceptable and not at all worth what we paid for it. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by COST & NOISE At check-out we were charged two different prices for the room - the quoted price for the last two nights, and a higher price for the first night. The explanation was that we had made two different reservations on-line. The fact is that we made one reservation via phone. We should have been charged only the price that was quoted at the time of that call. A group at the hotel was so noisy that a guest (not part of our group) called the desk. When the desk clerk couldn't get the group to quiet down, she ended up calling the police. The noisy group went to their rooms, but were still very loud. At breakfast on Sunday morning I overheard someone staying at your hotel say that she had gotten hardly any sleep because of the noise next door. I don't know if she had called the desk or not. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Refreshing Change I visit family near Milford about 2-3 times/year, sometimes with my partner and our dog. This was the first time staying at the Holiday Inn Express, and based on other reviews I thought we'd try it out. It was great! The hotel is located up a separated driveway vs. an adjoining parking lot with another business, so it was automatically more calm and less insane. Our primary concerns were cleanliness, non-smoking smell in the room, and safety/peace. I have found other hotels in the area to be seriously lacking in all of those things, and they charge about $10 less per night! This was so worth the slight price increase. The rooms were very clean, but miraculously didn't smell like cleaning chemicals or perfumey products. Hooray! The staff were so helpful and professional. There was no drinking/party atmosphere which often leads to a lot of noise and general problems. They take their non-smoking policy seriously. The breakfast was great and they have coffee available all day. It was an easy and relaxing stay. This will be the go-to hotel in the future. July 22, 2014

First mouringing, ran out of hot food , cerial fruit, whole milk. 2nd mourning, sign was put up no hot food due to oven being broken. I think no supplies were brought in . Asked for manerger to con tact me. I took numerous request, finnally after two weeks , contact made. . Would not recomend this location. July 17, 2014

The service is always fantastic while checking in (thanks Jessica!), and we couldn't be happier with how pet friendly the hotel is. There is always parking, and the beds are super clean and comfy. Our bathroom was not 100% clean this time, but every other time the bathrooms are spotless. We will definitely be back! July 10, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Customer survey The customer service when checking in was poor. The lady was not very customer friendly at all. The hotel boasts about the continential breakfast but when we went downstairs at 8:55 am there was nothing left. We waited ten minutes for them to replenish food with nothing. We came back downstairs at 9:30 to have breakfast and a worker had taken a basket of bagels away, no eggs left etc. it was very disappointing overall and would not go back. Usually I have stayed at Holiday Inns in other parts of the country on business and have been satisfied but I am skeptical in doing so again. The room was clean and acceptible but the front desk and breakfast was a total deal breaker for further visits. July 2, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good bed, Clean room, Nice updated look I felt this hotel stay could have been a bit less expensive in terms of what was provided, but it was still good. The food for breakfast was limited, but better than just a continental. The staff was a mix of friendly and barely courteous. I really expect a smile and a sense of genuine care when I stay in a hotel. This was limited. The pool door not working was a small hassle, only made a bit worse by the way it was handled. It was like they did not believe me when I said it did not work, and instead of going immediately down there to resolve it, they kind of left me to try again, and prove it was not working. I thought the lobby layout was very nice and modern, with lots of space to work, eat, etc. My room was very clean and comfortable. The guest above me was quite noisy, not sure how the hotel could change that. Guest service for cleaning room and refreshing towels was great. Overall a good stay. June 16, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn The Holiday Inn in Milford was recently renovated and the rooms and hotel are well maintained. We were staying overnight to go to Gillette Stadium in the morning for a soccer game and the only disappointing thing about the hotel was the rude guests whom returned late in the evening and proceeded to run up and down the halls making an enormous amount of noise. The hotel staff was pleasant and the breakfast provided was more than adequate for our needs! The Hotel pool was comfortable and recently renovated as well -it was great having towels provided at the pool area! June 12, 2014

There was three wedding parties there that night, and I thought it might be noisy, but it wasn't. The only setback was breakfast because it was jam packed when we were there. June 11, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Decent group rate, unhelpful with wedding A large group of us stayed at this hotel for a wedding. I've stayed at many hotels during weddings and I have always been able to check in early, but this was not the case for anyone in our group. The check in on Saturday is 3pm, but the wedding started at 4pm and many of us were in the wedding party and had to be there all day. A few of us were even told that our room would not be ready until 4pm. I was traveling from out of state, with all of my personal items in my car, and was forced to leave them in the parking lot and send my partner back to check us in later. Many of us called days in advance, and while we were not guaranteed the ability to check in early, I was specifically told that there was a "95% chance" that I would be able to, and others had similar stories. Given that there were maybe nine people checking in on Saturday, and this hotel knew of our arrival months in advance, it would have been nice if there was a little more effort put in to helping us on what was a very chaotic day.
