This Hotel was great!
My whole family liked it (raved about it).
Wife is still telling her friends about the Holiday Inn.
We are looking for reasons to go back.
Nothing was bad.
From the groundskeeping and outside appearance to room, dining room, lobby, staff; all were amazing.
They have to clone this place!

Guy at check in was one of the nicest, best front desk guys I've ever seen. Very helpful. Can't remember his name, but someone in management needs to know this guy is good and deserves a pat on the back. We checked in on Thursday, 8 August.
The lady serving breakfast was kind of rude and racist. My wife is from Indonesia, and she said something like:"Do you understand me...." when she asked my wife to move our baby stroller. I won't downgrade the motel too much for one ignorant comment.
However, the indoor pool was too cold. It could have been warmer.
Good location. Close to Boston. Easy to get to Boston, and motel was priced well.

Very enjoyable stay! Priority recognition, wonderful breakfast and friendly staff. We also used the indoor pool which was clean and perfectly maintained. Towels were laid out on each table. Nice touch. Thanks!!

Finially getting to write this review and I feel the need to.
When checking into my room, I noticed pillows were dirty and had lots of hair on them, I then pulled back the sheets and again sheets were dirty with hair. I then went to front desk where they did not believe me and came up to my room to verify. I was then given another room at end of hall next to stairwell, which I had the privildge of having someone jog the stairs at 5:30 AM!
When I talked to the front desk again, they did not believe me. Well believe this, I will not be back to this Hotel

The welcome we received was not overwhelmingly friendly. We were barely recognized as a priority platinum member, given one bottle of water for two guests and NO upgrade. In fact, no offer of any priority benefit at all. Our request for a room away from the elevator was ignored, we were directly across from the elevator. When we approached Jessica at the desk to get a different room she was LESS than pleasant.
The breakfast was fine, but more attention to details would prevent them running out of forks and empty coffee pots.
Housekeeping did not put shampoo in the room....discovered that after getting into the shower...lol our mistake I guess.
On the positive side...... Clean., convenient and our check out clerk was quite pleasant! This is a good value for the location.

This was a good stop. I stayed for five nights. It is ~ 45 miles outside of Boston. I was in the area vacationing. I wanted to walk the freedom trail in downtown Boston.
The room was clean. It appears the rooms were recently remodeled even though it is fairly new.
The staff went above and beyond when called upon for help. A special thanks to Nick, David and Jim for their help and advice on travel routes and places to dine.
The location is outside of Boston yet you are just a few miles from Foxboro and Gillette Stadium. Also, Providence, RI is a scant 45 minutes away and southern Maine is just a little over 1.2 hours to the north. I was able to drive about 20 minutes to the Riverside MBTA station and ride the train into Boston daily. I would suggest taking the MBTA into Boston if you are vacationing. Sit back and leave the driving to MBTA. Subway is the most convenient way to travel in downtown Boston if you are vacationing.
I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Milford.

The hotel was nice and clean!!!!! The only improvements that I could suggest would be to replace the broken pancake maker with a waffle maker. Also the whirlpool doesn't have enough water jets and the temperature was not hot enough!!!!!

Thank you for providing "poop bags" for our dogs. That is a very nice service.
One observation is that the dog walking area in the back is almost without grass and that grass had been sprayed with pesticide before we arrived. I can't imagine, that in your urban location, insect pests woiuld be a problem. Fortunately, I was able to make my way down the hill and there were ample sidewalks to exercise my dogs. Please also inform your staff of the walking and exercise opportunities in the nearby cemetary and park.
We had a very comfortable stay and will be back for sure!

We found this hotel to be an enjoyable experience. We were greeted by a friendly staff immediately recognized and appreciated the fact that we were Priority Club members. This may seem like a small item but after driving all day it just feels good to be recognized. The hotel property was clean and well kept. The room was the same except the toilet seat in the bathroom was loose. Breakfast was excellent. I love the pancake machines. I think Holiday Inn is the only hotel that has them. We've stayed in other hotels but none had pancakes. Overall we were well pleased with our stay and will return when we are in the Milford, MA area again.

After my second stay at this holiday Inn Express I know that I'll stay there for my next stay in the area. It is not only very conveniently located but the recent refurbishing was very good and the staff is absolutely outstanding. They are all very friendly and extremely helpful. Their restaurant recommendations are spot-on and so perfect. And the shuttle service is excellent.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DennisinPA Unacceptable Housekeeping Staff Performance
I stayed at this hotel with my family Friday night 4/26 through Monday morning on 4/29
General customer satisfaction experience = 2 of 5
- Front Desk Staff = 5 of 5. Stacy on the day shift was great! Nick was also very helpful.
- Breakfast offering was well set with a nice variety and good quality.
- General hotel condition = 4 of 5
- Housekeeping staff performance (very poor) = 1 of 5
a) We needed to ask for fresh towels daily despite clarifying what we needed on the first morning of our stay. We needed four daily. We were provided ranged from two to zero.
b) The bathroom was notably not cleaned at all during our stay.
- Minor annoyance = TV remote control volume did not work well.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CRM2 Awful Housekeeping Staff and Organization
I have stayed at this location for many years and have found the atmosphere, condition, and staff to be declining. While during this stay, two of my coworkers had unclean rooms, dirty sheets, used soaps still on sink, wires hanging out of walls, unfinished plumbing, and unswept floors, my room wasn't bad. However, I booked for a week beginning March 23 for business. I brought my family along for this trip and on March 25th decided to check out and move to a competitor for the first time in 7 years due to the attitude and actions of the head housekeeper and the disorganization of the staff. I have been a loyal Priority club member for many years and have had good experience all over the country until now. I highly doubt if I will ever be willing to suffer staying at this location again just to keep the points rolling in. I hope things change at this location as many of my co-workers have complained openly about the cleanliness and staff here.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by wrandolph Need a little more time to get this right ...
Good news is that this Holiday Inn Express is renovating the interior of the property. New furniture in the rooms, new carpeting, new curtains, etc.
Bad news is that they started putting people in rooms before the construction was completed and they did a QUALITY check on the room.
TV remote control ... no batteries, then when I got the batteries, only controls the volume not the channels.
Tissues ... not in room
Hair dryer ... could not get to work
Hot water ... at the scalding level ... i imagine they upgraded the Water Heater in the hotel ... but the hot is much too hot. Someone should have tested this out first.
Suitcase rack (so it doesn't have to sit on the floor) .. not in room
Refrigerator ... now housed in a cabinet ... cuts down on the noise ... nice ... but somebody didn't do their homework. The cabinet door opens on the left, the fridge opens on the right. So you have to clear away everything on the floor to open the cabinet door all the way so you can get to the fridge. Not a big deal. Just demonstrates a lack of attention to detail.

While I understand that when a hotel is under renovations may not have the greatest service or amenities, this was beyond that. First I arrive as a Platinum member and did not even receive a bottle of water, much less recognition for being Platinum. Room was booked with micro-fridge and neither was in the room. Renovations started in the morning at 7am, with lots of noise. Improve customer service, and I may consider staying here again.

This hotel is a complete mess and not even close to what a Holiday Inn Express should be. The lobby was completely torn apart with debris everywhere. The front desk wasn’t operational; you had to check-in in a small room down a hallway of the first floor. The front desk staff (Manny) was incredibly rude and not helpful. I was told I couldn’t check-in when I arrived; he offered no explanation or reason, nor did he offer an “I’m sorry.” I had to roam the disaster of the lobby for about fifteen minutes before I could check-in, again, no apology. The hotel didn’t acknowledge my Platinum status or offer an upgrade, I’ve never been at any IHG hotel that doesn’t at least acknowledge your status, even if they cannot offer an upgrade.
I went up to the second floor and the hall was a disaster! There was sawdust/construction debris all thru the halls, including a path of boot prints thru the hall. The dark carpet in the hall had two (2) huge bleach stains on it and looked really awful. The room (Rm 231) was freezing; it seems housekeeping turned the heat completely off and it was about 20 degrees outside. The room itself was gross. First, it wasn’t cleaned well. There were “water marks” on the faucets, tub handle, and shower rod. There was a large discolored stain on the wall near the A/C. There was a huge, black mark on the light-yellow bed skirt. A face cloth also had an obvious stain, something that couldn’t have not been noticed by the staff. There was also a long, black hair on the bed (I don’t have long or black hair.)
The room itself was in total disrepair. The old, ugly wallpaper on the wall was peeling back at every seam; it was old and showed the age. The bath/tub mat was frayed and thin. The bath towel hung above the tub was torn and ripped. The coffee maker was dirty and had residue in the coffee pot.
As if the hotel itself wasn’t bad enough, there was a group of young kids directly across the hall. The noise was insane. The screaming and yelling and slamming doors... absolutely insane. And the hotel was obviously not that busy (just by looking at the nearly empty parking lot) so there was no reason to group the clearly loud children near other guests. I didn’t even go thru the ordeal of voicing concern to the staff – after the rude service at check-in I knew there was no point because they would have ignored it. Really bad stay Holiday Inn Milford – you should have done a lot better.
I didn’t use the WIFI or stay for breakfast. I left early the next morning, just to get out of this hotel. I’ve stayed at a lot of Holiday Inn Express and other IHG hotels, they normally do MUCH MUCH better. I’ve stayed at a Holiday Inn Express near an airport that was quieter and a Holiday Inn Express in the downtown area of a city that was cleaner. This hotel really has no redeeming qualities. They have an old, dated hotel. The rooms weren’t clean nor were they maintained. And the staff was clearly disinterested in guest service. Though I understand hotels need to renovate from time to time, if your lobby is going to be a total mess and your rooms not up to par then close the hotel to renovate; there is not excuse for subjecting guests to that.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, for any reason. No matter why you travel, a friendly staff and clean rooms are important. This hotel has neither. Pick another hotel – in fact there are two other national brand hotels directly across the street!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jamesb45 Hotel under construction
When you have a hotel under construction there are a number of things you need to do to make sure your guests are as informed and as comfortable as is possible during that time. None of that was done!
You need to make it aware to your customers ahead of time that there is construction going on so we can change our plans to stay at a different Holiday Inn nearby or at least give us the chance to book a room away from the noise and smells, of the construction, this was not done!

We usually like this spot but there was work going on and we were not aware. The hottub was not working properly and It was December! Their was no one looking after the breakfast so everything was empty or stale. We were disappointed as it was supposed to be a relaxing stay after the hubbub of the Christmas season., We felt like we should have been given a discount considering the state of the hotel...

I have been using this hotel for many years and recommend it for it's excellence. Breakfast offers many choices and is delicious.
