Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dissapointing I don't expect a 5-star experience when staying at a Holiday Inn so my feedback is based only on what I would expect from the brand. The first problem I have may be an IHG problem, but it feels like a hotel issue. If you want straight hotel review, skip down past the next couple of paragraphs. I see these bonus points packages and other packages show during the reservation process. I've yet to have one go smoothly. The package I booked here was a 10,000 bonus points package. As you can imagine, I overpaid for the room as the points offset some of the cost. When checking out, I asked the front desk when I should check to make sure the points were deposited and was told once the reservation closed out in the system. A week later, no points so I call. The person answering said she would go in and add them. I gave a couple of business days and didn't see them show. I feel like it should be an automatic thing. There should be no manual process to it. If there is, someone needs to make sure it happens. Now for the hotel - It was a nice location, which worked out well for our stay. The room we booked was a 2-room suite. This was nice, except the door separating the two had clear glass inserts. There was no way to change in the back room without being in clear view of the front room. It might as well have had all beds in the same room. We also needed the sofa pull-out for the kids. I don't ever expect much from these, but this was the worst I had been on. It felt like some of the springs were broken and seemed like there wasn't much left of the mattress. With our kids being under 3, my wife and I usually each lay with one when travelling so they don't wake up scared being in an unfamiliar place. I got the sofa pull out and it made for a horrible night's sleep, not what I wanted after an early morning flight and full day of travel. The room wasn't very clean. I found some trash still on the floors towards the corners of the room and edges of the one bed. Fine for me to deal with, but not a good feeling with kids wanting to play on the floor. Breakfast was also a disappointment. I was just expecting a Holiday Inn level breakfast, something to make me feel better after the lack of good sleep. The pancake machine had people waiting. It wasn't working correctly and I'm not sure what the issue was. Someone would come out, open the front and then close it. That was supposed to reset it or something, but it kept showing a message the bag of mix was empty. Seeing everyone else getting frustrated with it, I didn't bother with it. It wasn't horrible, but for what it was or was supposed to be, the value was not there and I left feeling like I wasted money. July 30, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad timing I suppose... First and foremost, I commend the staff for their customer service and willingness to help. There was some confusion with my reservation and we ended up with a two-queen bed room for five people. The staff went out of their way to try and help, including an additional discount for the first night and consistent offers to help secure a bigger and more suitable room for the balance of our stay. However, the jam-packed hotel was overflowing with non-English speaking (and quite rude) guests. Kids and teens ran around and roamed the halls all night long. Upon waking up, we briefly looked into the open door of an adjacent room and there were - no kidding - between 15-20 people inside, with several of them asleep on the floor rolled up in blankets. It looked more like a homeless shelter than an IHG property. I frequently travel to other countries and have never seen such a revolting display in an IHG hotel. We had no choice but to cut our 5-day reservation short and find lodging elsewhere. Maybe this was an anomaly, but we likely will not return to this hotel. July 26, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful room with great amenities This hotel is extremely nice and the rooms were well appointed. The only issues were the fact that we had a children's suite and the bunk beds weren't made by the housekeeper. Also, the pool has early hours because a lot of the rooms are connected to it and nothing dampens the noise. Traveling children need a place to unwind. I would stay there again easily though when we are back in the area. July 19, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Misc. ... - Pool floor sure needs a painting / everyone was tracking the peeling paint into the rest of the hotel on their feet/shoes or into the pool/hot tub. - Breakfast food was good, however, staff should be wearing disposal gloves when working. - There was a huge metal bar sticking out from the side of the bed. Had to be careful not to hit it when getting out of bed. - Elevator floor always dirty. Same rose petals/dirt from Saturday night into Sunday. Floors sure looks like it needs to be replace and elevator walls need a good scrubbing down. - Staff in the am checking on cleaned rooms, knocked on doors, checking them, then "slamming the doors shut". Sure made sure the sleeping customers heard it at 8:00 am. Kind of a shame for customers trying to sleep in like my husband. July 16, 2015
