Front Desk rep was exceptionally helpful during our late night check in - even making a fresh pot of coffee and assisting with info for our day in Pittsburgh the following morning. Went above and beyond.

This was the first time we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Pittsburgh East - Mall Area and we loved it. Close to many restaurants, grocery stores, electronis stores, and department stores. It was easy to get to the Parkway to get into and out of Pittsburgh. This is now our number one place to stay in Pittsburgh.

Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable, and breakfast was good.
One negative aspect wasw that the rooms facing the Lowes sign illu,inated the room all night between Lowes and parking lot lighting. The were no drapes that could be closed to make the room dark. This would be an improvement.

The property is brand new so the decor and basic structure and cleanliness is fine. However, it is nothing special. Room was quite small for a king bed.
Check in was a problem because I made the reservation for my daughter. My daughter called to say the desk clerk was not going to honor the reservation because she did not have my credit card. They would not accept my ok over the phone, Ultimately, she had to pay with her credit card which I then reimbursed.
Property is way overpriced for this tiny room.

I was traveling alone and felt very safe and comfortable. The bed was most comfortable, probably because it's a new hotel, thus new furnishings. The air conditioning was good, too. No noise! The Waterfront location was excellent. I thought it would be noisy being next to a 24-hour drive-thru restaurant, but I never heard a sound.

We had a great stay and really appreciated the new firm mattress and full fluffy towels! The fact that the hotel was new contributed to these perks. We've stayed at many H.I. Express hotels and this was by far the most comfortable and friendly stay.

Front desk area often unattended. It has a poor design.
room was not properly cleaned. Coffee pot was missing. Coffee packs and trash had fallen behind desk.
This facility was below Holiday Inn standards. I would look elsewhere for future stays.

Difficult for us to find, but once we did, I would recommend this motel. We are not from this area and seemed to get lost at every turn. It is near a huge mall. The parking is great. The room was very clean and very comfortable. We were able to enjoy their coffee and breakfast was quite nice. The person who took care of the breakfast was extremely good. We were welcomed by the front desk by a very nice and helpful person. I give it a 4 star rating.

This hotel was well located. However, there was no fridge in our room and a pouch had been left in the coffee machine - not what I expect from this group of hotels. Our room was located very near the ice machine so noise was a little bit of a nuisance. A short time after checking in a man knocked on our door 'to upgrade our television'. We were not told that this may be a possibility when we checked in but feel that it should have been mentioned. The reception area etc were well kept and clean. . Breakfast choices were good.

The rooms at this hotel are a little on the small side. The staff is very good and helpful. breakfast is the standard fare.Hotel is in a good location with many options for shopping and meals.

I drove here from Chicago for a bridal shower - after a long day of driving, I checked in - only to find out that whoever was staying above me made noise all night long and started again at 7:00 am - no chance for a late sleep-in - which I had hoped for. I called the front desk after breakfast and thank goodness they had a room on the top floor - which I now know is something I will have to request in advance - I know it is a hotel but it would of been nice if the people above me were reminded to be a bit quieter than me having to lug all my belongings up to the 3rd floor after I had already gotten settled. Other than that I thought the place was clean, breakfast was very good. Maybe people with 5 kids should be on the first floor instead of on top of someone who is needing to get a good night's sleep.

I am a Priority Gold Member who travels for business on a weekly basis and always stay at Priority Hotels. I showed up at the hotel and was told I did not have a reservation. It turned out I had made the reservation for the night before instead of the actual night I needed it for. The man at the front desk told me it was no problem and he would just make the reservation for the night I was there. Considering the hotel was not fully booked, and the regularity in which I stay at your hotels, I am upset I was still charged for the missed night since I did still show up. Upon checking in, I feel I should have been informed of the two night charge. I am disappointed in the priority member program.

My husband and I plan to use this property often. The location is awesome, the staff is professional and accommodating, and the amenities extended via the guest lounge were great. (Wonderful cookies!).
We had a slight problem with the room cleanliness, which is not the norm for Holiday Inn Express. There were a number of long black hairs left on the floor of the bathroom. There was also a long black hair on my bed sheet when I turned my bed down to go to sleep.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 7 times now and will continue to use it when I am in this area. The hotel is overall clean and comfortable. However over the period of time I have noticed the daily cleaning has deminished. Toothpaste on the floor of the bathroom not cleaned and mud on the hall carpets not vaccumed, etc. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

We Loved the location, Decor and the Comfort of this Hotel. You can't beat it's location being in the Waterfront near so much to do. The Lobby Entrance is Unique and Beautifully decorated. We loved how the rooms and baths were decorated, they pay attention to detail. The rooms were very comfortable and cozy. The Staff was courteous and helpful. We are looking forward to staying there again. It is the place to stay

I was really surprised how nice this property really was. Upon entering, it's a little odd to step down to get to the front doors but once you get in, the place is really new and fresh.
Hotel staff was excellent and very friendly. The room was spacious. I was upgraded as a platinum elite member and welcomed as such when I arrived.
Breakfast was good, internet connection was solid and the location was really great.
This is an easy location to recommend for others.

My first time visiting Pittsburgh to see my grandkids and I just love this new hotel. Rooms are very clean, beds are so comfortable, wonderful staff & great complimentary breakfast! One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! The location has so many shops & restaurants out here made my stay very entertaining & fun! Definately coming back to this hotel when I return to Pittsburgh for all my grandkids birthdays, holidays & other occassions.

The helpful and friendly staff will keep me coming back. Although the room is small, it is very clean and comfortable. I wish there was room for a small refrigerator to keep beverages cold since my stays are more than one night. The lighting in the bathroom is acceptable but not exceptional for shaving or makeup. The breakfast is the typical Holiday Inn Express fare. However the breakfast room is very clean and the food is presented very well.

The management at this place is awful. After a long week-end with a busted pipe at my house I thought this would be a nice place to stay until my problem was taken care of. The first night was fine but, down hill after that. Rude front desk manager's made the stay even worst. Be careful, they debited my credit card (11) eleven times when they found out there was not a credit card on file holding our room for the evening. Then to top it off after they got what they wanted out of my banking account they made us check out early because I quote "we do not like your attitude." BEWARE!!!!!!

We picked this hotel for its close proximity to our new grandchild!! We have never been made to feel so welcome and valued as customers at any other hotel. All of the staff from front desk to breakfast area lady to housekeeping are friendly and eager to help in any way. We have been there 3 times and the staff actually remembered us!!!! The entire place is spotless and very well designed. Breakfast is great and the cookies at night are so nice.

This is a great hotel that is close to downtown and has a large selection of stores and food close. I will stay here anytime we are in the area. The staff was great and the room was perfect. Plenty of parking

Nice new hotel near plenty of shopping but not the same experience as other Holiday Inn Express hotels that I've stayed at. Rooms are smaller and beds were doubles vice queen size and not as comfortable. Chemical smells because of the newness of the hotel. No refrigerator or microwave in the rooms due to the small room size. For TV channel surfers - very slow response when channel surfing - nearly 4-5 seconds between changing a channel before the picture actually came in on the screen - with 50+ channels, it takes time to go through all the channels.
