Dark and dingy. Furniture old and dinged up. Carpet dirty. Side entrance was dirty, trash and old onion rings inside entrance way. Cigarettes and butts on outside side entrance. We stay in many Holiday Inn Expresses, this was one of the worst.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rick333 Hotel manager was dishonest
I booked a Senior rate room a few weeks before my stay. One week before my stay I called the Hotel directly asking for the Fisherman Rate which was $23.00 less than the Senior Rate. The manager women that I talked to said I would get the Fisherman rate when I would Check in.
That did not happen when I checked in. The manager denied me the rate saying that I would have had to make a new reservation in order to get the Fisherman rate.
Do not trust the managment at this hotel, they don't honor what they say.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mim67 Great place to stay
We were displaced from another town due to a storm knocking out power to the town. Had to find another hotel for the night. Just kept driving towards Toledo when I saw the sign for this hotel. They had a room for us! Price was great for a walk in. This hotel seems to be brand new. It was beautiful! We had a wonderful room. Breakfast was excellent.

The entryway at this hotel is beautiful! The welcome staff and conceirge were very helpful! They printed off maps for us and got us to where we needed to go. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. However, both my husband and I did not sleep very well due to the uncomfortable mattress. It just may be that we are spoiled from our mattress at home.
Breakfast had a large selection, I was pleasantly suprised at the variety.
The only complaint I had was the pool was a little gross. The water was cloudy, maybe due to improper chemical balance. Also, the tiles around the whirlpool were filthy.
Other than that, we had a nice stay while we attended an amazing family wedding at Maumee Bay.

We were in town for a wedding and service was great. Parking could have been better. Had to park over by the bar next door. Breakfast was good but the plates stuck together, seemed to be an issue with the supplier.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TourManager Great Rooms. Terrible Breakfast.
I love the rooms at Holiday Inns. Very comfortable and competitively priced.
However the Coffee is undrinkable. Seems like it wouldn't cost that much money to serve some better coffee. I always end up going elsewhere.
The breakfast is also really bad. I don't care if I've already been charged for it, or if it's "Free" a bunch of processed food is bad food. Fake Eggs and Sugar filled pastries are not fit for human consumption. Please try and provide some real and healthy foods in the future. This applies to all holiday inns, not just this one.

I booked this room on points for my family to stay closer to us. Prior to their departure they stopped at our house to tell us that they could not use the pool on Sunday because of the lack of cleanliness. When they talked to the desk staff they replied they had a "busy weekend". Does not matter if you have a busy weekend, the pool should be clean for all guests. My family chose not to eat there also due to fear of proper sanitation. This was embarrassing to me and I feel that my points were not spent appropriately.

The pool was very noisy with lots of kids a little dirty. You should say no kids aloud in hot tub could never use it because too many kids were in it and we stayed 2 nights :( I think I would try a different hotel next time. Should have adult only hours for pool and really enforce them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TattleTail A Birder Who Loves Hoilday Inn Express
A birding buddy and I visited NW Ohio to bird for several days at Magee Marsh, Oak Openings, Ottawa, and more. I know there are cheaper hotels nearby but the Holiday Inn Express (HIE) means quality and dependability. I always stay at HIEs for my birding holidays because they have everything I want such as business center with computer, printer, and scanner, early breakfast, comfortable clean room, lots of TV channels including The Weather Channel, exercise room, pool, and well-lit parking area. This HIE is the same high quality as the other HIEs I've stayed in. There was even a continental breakfast for early risers before the 6 am full breakfast but we were too exhausted from birding to get ready so early. My buddy needed to use the business center to download, scan, and send documents home, and the front desk clerk went out of his way to help her accomplish these tasks. Although there is no full-service restaurant here, there are several nearby restaurants on Ohio Route 2 or on the Lake Erie lakefront on Bayshore Road northeast of Pearson Metropark. We packed sandwiches in our cooler from the Subway across the street from the hotel. I strongly recommend this and other HIEs for leisure or business travel!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by National20082008 two nights one was pretty tough
I had a bad experence the first night. They gave my room to a another customer after I was already in it. At 2:30 am I had someone at my door and a few minutes later they came back, only this time they got in.. Good thing I had the latch closed. They walked away and a few minutes the front desk called wanting to know my name and confirmation #. They thought the room was vacant. I complained the next morning and received a few priority points. I would have been more satisfied had they given me a free night as there was not much sleeping after that incident.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by souljaboy25 GREAT STAY AT THE HOLIDAY INN
I am from Michigan and took a vacation to the Toledo zoo for Mother's day for my wife and kids. I booked this room ahead of time with a king size bed and Jacuzzi.
Upon arriving at the hotel, I was thinking this was going to be like any other standard or sub standard Holiday Inn that I am used to or tolerate in Michigan.
Surprisingly, this Hotel exceeded all of my expectations and really gave me a great feeling. The service was outstanding, the room fresh and clean, the roll-away that I had requested already in the room, the tv channels perfect, as I wanted to watch the Red Wings playoff game on Fox Sports Detroit, and they had it, the Internet service not so great at times, but other than that, this Hotel was perfect!!
We had 2 mix ups but the staff quickly corrected these, one being we were told breakfast closed at 10am when really it closed at 9:30am. When my wife and 3 children arrived, even though it was about 9:45am, the lady there warmed us up some of the food already put away and stopped to attend to our needs. This was great. Another was I was unaware and/or never told that the roll away would be an extra 10.00 but they took it off my bill anyways without a problem.
I would RECCONMNEND this hotel to ANYONE. We simply loved this hotel and was a complete change from the hotels and service we are used to or tolerate in Michigan. Thank you Holiday Inn Toledo-Oregon. This was simply amazing!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by happybirder Helpful front desk staff, breakfast attendant, and comfy bed
This was our first stay in the area so we had no idea where to grab a quick dinner. The front desk staff was very helpful, giving us several ideas and the food was great where we had dinner.
We were in the area to bird at Magee Marsh so we were up early to grab some breakfast and hit the trail. The breakfast area was neat, clean and items were full. The attendant kept her eye on the coffee supply by checking it often and surveyed the food items so she could replenish when needed.
We had long days with our birding adventures and it was awesome to sleep on such a comfortable bed. In a room that was very quiet and roomy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tttesoro Overall experience...Excellent
My husband and I signed up for the Holiday Inn Priority Club Rewards in an effort to take more road trips and do more exploring, in general. This was our third holiday weekend so far this year, and we booked a whirlpool suite for a long weekend, Friday night through Monday morning. We chose Toledo as it is only a couple hours from our home in Michigan, and we wanted to spend a day at the Toledo Museum of Art and the Glass Pavilion, both of which were amazing. Saturday night we had dinner on the Maumee River at the Real Seafood Restaurant, and the food was spectacular...scallops in sherry butter were delicious, as was the lemon cheesecake. Sunday was spent at the First Third Stadium with the Toledo Mudhens. What a great afternoon that was! The whole weekend was lots of fun and very relaxing and enjoyable. It really helped that upon our arrival, the desk clerk, David, gave us a map and highlighted all the routes to the places we told him we wanted to go. Very helpful. The breakfast offerings all three mornings of our stay were terrific, and everything was clean and tidy. Maid service was impeccable, and it was nice how they worked around our schedule so we didn't feel rushed to get out in the morning in order to get fresh towels and the bed made. The towels, might I add were big and fluffy and thirsty and plentiful...with the whirlpool tub, we went through a lot of towels! Again, this was our third stay at Holiday Inn Express, and I couldn't be happier about our decision to choose to stay with you.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by StayedTheNight Great Breakfast and People
We were in Toledo to visit the Hollywood Casino. This facility, although a bit of a distance from the casino, was well worth the slight extra drive. We always look for a facility that provides breakfast, but theirs was way above expectations. The breakfast menu variety was outstanding. Breakfast area was comfortable and had a good amount of space. Breakfast room attendant was very helpful. This alone will cause me to consider Holiday Inn Express for my next trip. Public areas seemed well cared for and inviting to guests. The room was great. We will definitely stay at this facility again!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DaveB4C Consistently comfortable, outstanding service
Not only did I receive a warm welcome at check-in, but also got a good recommendation for dinner. The rooms are consistently clean and comfortable, but on my last stay the general manager went above and beyond when I reported a lost item. She not only checked immediately, but she also kept me advised as they were looking. And, thankfully, the item was recovered and sent back right away.
This will be my only choice on every trip to this area.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jewell4 Very clean & comfortable with wonderful service.
We decided to take a last minute road trip to the Toledo Zoo over spring break. We focused more on great places to stop and eat before researching places to stay. However, the moment we entered the lobby of this Holiday Inn Express we knew we could relax. We were greeted by friendly staff and felt very welcome. It was very obvious there was nothing to worry about regarding cleanliness. Our kids enjoyed the pool, we loved the fact that there was a store right there and our room/beds were very clean and comfortable. The full breakfast was a nice surprise as well. Never expected all that good food. Special thanks to the lady who prepared it as she was very attentive in making sure we were enjoying it. We were very happy to have found Toledo-Oregon Holiday Inn Express. THANK YOU

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MLS98 CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE
I grew up in Toledo not far from this hotel. This is a great location - grocery store, drugstore, lots of restaurants, freeway access, and hospital are all right there. Walk to the liquor store a few steps from the hotel entrance. Hotel is set back from Navarre Avenue so no traffic noise. The first time I stayed there I arrived late in the evening and the music coming from Yeeha's Pub and Grub (which is next door to the hotel) was really loud. I was worried it would keep me awake, but it wasn't a problem at all - I couldn't even hear it once I got into my room (which was on the side of the hotel facing the bar). The rooms are clean and, God bless Holiday Inn, there are several good-sized shelves in the shower for your shampoo, conditioner, etc. No trying to find space on the edge of the tub or constantly knocking products onto the floor. May seem like a minor thing to rejoice over, but sometimes it's those little things that make a difference. Another plus: they don't stint on towels. Also greatly appreciated having both a refrigerator and a microwave in the room.
Since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, I do wish they would keep the complimentary breakfast available for an hour longer for those of us on vacation who are out late and sleep in.
Also - and this is a problem in many hotels - the room keys constantly deactivate. I keep them in the cardboard sleeve, I don't put them anywhere near my cell phone or car keys, and I still find myself standing in front of my third floor hotel room door at 2:00 a.m. loaded down with packages and cursing the red light that flashes when I swipe my key. With all the amazing technology available, I can't understand why no one has figured out how to make this type of key work.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Oregon, Ohio.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Buck52 Good room but poor breakfast
Good room and great staff. Followed their recommendation for a great local steak. Was disappointed with the breakfast, usually a big plus with Holiday Inn Express. Loose the ground ham patty, it was awful (full of hard stuff); juice was just colored water (taste it before you serve it); coffee not that good either. Other than that, the hotel is quiet, new,and in a nice area. Convenient to food, gas, Meijers, and I-280.

Nice and quiet, thought we were the only ones staying here. We were surprised in the morning to see other people in the hallway, elevator and at breakfast. Tucked back off the road so there was no 'traffic noise'. And we especially liked that we could open the window if we wanted.
