Area does not have much to offer. The hotel made the days easier.

I booked a room that was for up to 6 people. Its description made it sound like a separate bedroom and living room... but wasn't. An arch between the two areas isn't really a separate bedroom.
Also wondered why there was an extra $10 charge for two adults when I was already paying for a bigger "suite"...
That was disappointing.

We had a great first night of our vacation. The room was comfortable and restful. I always like to comment that I'm looking forward to the day all HIE's have the higher toilets that your "senior" customers prefer. We were not impressed with the breakfast selection, however. The staff was friendly and the breakfast room neat.

The common areas are filthy! No one runs the carpet cleaner on the carpets in the hallways or staircases. The rooms stick, I mean smell bad. This new place is going down hill fast.

I was very disappointed in my stay at the Pratt, Kansas, Holiday Inn Express. The bathroom had one very small bar of soap, no lotion, and the shampoo lid was broken, giving the impression that it was used and refilled. All the towels and washcloths were threadbare with strings hanging off every one. If I had woke up without knowing where I was, I would have never have guessed that it was a Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast was typical of Holiday Inn Express, though there was no bacon or sausage. I will make a note not to bother to stop here the next time I am through the town.

We made reservations at 3 pm on the day of our arrival and yet the check-in process was still quick and easy. This hotel was great and par for what I have come to expect from Holiday Inn Expresses!

I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and neither time has been stellar. The rooms are clean, but neither time were there paper plates or paper towels in the cabinet.
The desk staff didn't seem to care whether you were there or not. Neither time was I acknowledged as a Priority Club member. The second stay, the evening desk clerk was sagging his pants and showing his boxers. His untucked, and very wrinkled shirt didn't lend to his professional appearance either.
The internet connection is flaky at best. I used my hot spot most of the time. During the first stay, I was unable to connect at all and called the front desk. The clerk said to reboot my computer. As an IT person, I had already done that, and verified with 2 other devices that there was no internet connection.
If I have to return to Pratt, I will more than likely stay at another location.

I forgot to pack the electrical cord that powers my Cpap machine and I called the front desk the morning I left to please keep the cord as it was a medical necessity that I use my Cpap machine every night. I was going back through Pratt the next day and I informed the front desk that I would pick up my electrical cord.
When I came back to the Holiday Inn in Pratt they had not gone to the room and got the cord and there was someone already checked in so they could enter the room.
Called them the next day from home (still unable to use my Cpap machine) and insisted they send a maid to unplug the cord and bring it down to the front desk. They informed me that the maid found the cord, brought it down to the fron desk and they would Fedex to me at my expense. I felt relieved !!!
A week later I still have not recieved my Cpap electrical cord and I will never stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Pratt ever again.
Very dissapointed with the service and as a Gold member and also as it pertains to my health and well being it was bad business for them to take 3 days to get the cord from my room and then they never mailed it to me.
Never again Holiday Inn Express in Pratt !!!!

During the weekend breakfast period no one made any effort to wipe off the table between guests. It was busy with a lot of people coming & going but I think people would have waited a minute or two. The Monday staff were on the ball cleaning tables between guests. I was there during the Memorial weekend.

This is the worst Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in. The staff is not trained and you never have the room I requested. You wonder why you have a membership if it is of no benefit to get what you ask for. Besides you are overpriced as compared to better locations in Pratt (Comfort Suites). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will not stay here in the future. If I am in need of a room and the other locations are full I will drive and hour to Wichita or Dodge City. So as I stay out at least 5 nights per month its your loss. Good Luck in keeping your business alive. Word of mouth goes a long way when you talk to other people about you experience.

Business center printer was not working. Asked three times for them to fix it and each time they said it was working but it wasn't. They never offered any other options.
Also, I came down for breakfast with about 10 minutes to spare and asked if it would still be out for a minute so I could drop my work stuff off in the car first and all she did was point to the sign of the breakfast hours.
Lastly, I had to come back to the hotel to work before noon and went for coffee but they take the coffee up after breakfast and do not offer it for the rest of the day. They even take up their plain creamer, it's not like they offer the flavored creamer!
They don't offer water to their patrons or give any recognition to priority club members.
I travel quite often for work and have stayed at other Holiday Inns and this has to be the worst one I have stayed at.

I rate this as a middle-of-the-road HIE. Common to many hotels, the desk chair was junk. It wouldn't elevate. I had to sit on a pillow to use the desk comfortably. The job I was on was in Mullinville. Breakfast was at 6:30. There was no way I could get breakfast and be on the job on time in Mullinville. I find really GOOD HIE's recognize that we working people have to be on the road or on the job early and serve breakfast early. In Hebbronville, TX they serve @ 0500 because they KNOW their clientele are construction people like myself. Absolutely no acknowledgement that I am a Priority Club member. Most places give me a little bag of goodies. Overall, the room was nice and clean. Like I said, a nice, average place to stay.

Overall it was clean and decent but it was below my expectations for Holiday Inn Express. The big thing was that there seemed to be a layer of window covering missing -- nothing light-blocking went all the way across, and there was a well-lit parking lot right outside the window. We turned out the lights in the room and it was still like daylight. Not being able to access the Internet as advertised was also irritating, and the front desk staff was pleasant but unable to help at all.

Ever Since Holiday Inn Express put in the sit down desk for the staff I have found it is hard for them to get up and look eye to eye with the customer. Not many smile either. The room was nice but the cleaning was not up to par. Found a pad (gross) on the floor next to the toilet when I returned to the room after a days work. No refill on coffee after the first day use. I think some management training will help. I mean train the manager on how to teach the staff.

Our stay of one night was fine. The hotel is relatively new and clean. The staff was friendly. Our only recommendation would be to check the quality of the pillows. All the pillows are poor quality and seem to be the same even though they are labelled soft, medium,firm...... I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel on our next trip passing though. Thanks

Hi: I stay at the Holiday Inn in Pratt Kansas about twice a year. That is my first choice of where to stay when I am in Pratt.
When I walked into the lobby last Monday evening I was greeted by the smell of cigarette smoke. My mind immediately took me back to the days when that was the smell that prevailed in hotel lobbies and rooms (not a pleasant memory).
As I checked in I realized that the cigarette smell was not actually in the hotel lobby but was coming from the young woman who was checking me in. (She was very pleasant and handled my check-in very well).
After completing check-in, I left and went to eat dinner. When I returned she was standing just outside the front hotel door smoking. She greeted me pleasantly but the visual of her smoking has prevailed in my mind and as I write this the smell of cigarette smoke is my predominant impression of my recent stay.
Everything else was great!

When I checked in it was after 15:00 hrs. The room I reserved a king bed non smoking was not available. I am a platnum priority club member. I was to tired to argue as I had already been on the move since 02:00hrs that day without stopping.

Very noisy hotel. walls are paper thin. could here man snoring next door. called front desk at 3:30 to ask them to call room next door because tv was blaring. didnt do it. did not receive any recognition as priorty club member checking in or out. hotel has alot of railroad workers(nothing against them, they were all friendly) staying there, so were people coming and going all night long. breakfast was great.
it is sad, because it is a fairly new hotel.
