Although it was a little difficult to find this location the stay was great and provided an overall comfortable experience. I would recommend this motel to anyone.

We had to be at the airport at 5 a.m. so they offered the night before to fix us a "to go" breakfast bag with a variety of items to choose from. This was a nice touch for the start of a long travel day.

This was just an overnight stop during or vacation. I elected to use a Rewards Point night. At the time of check in I asked for an upgrade as is my habit being a longtime Platinum Rewards member. I was informed they didn't upgrade on Rewards nights. Strange reaction as it has happened before., many times with out asking.
I had also asked for a top floor room away from the adjacent interstate. Did get a top floor front room on the freeway side, hotel is sort of at an angle to the interstate. Their response was they were very busy because of some races or something. I made that reservation a couple of weeks prior to arrival so I don't think it would have been to difficult to switch sides of the hotel. My overall impression was that they really didn't care about my one night Rewards Night stopover.
Hotel is located in an industrial area and the nearest restaurant was 3-4 miles away. I guess that would be OK for a business traveler doing business in the area but not too convenient for us.
Hotel is new, clean, large and attractive.

I always stay at H.I. because their beds are awesome wherever you are. I love the breakfast idea. The Canadian Bacon, scrambled eggs, cantelope and watermelon weren't ripe and Passion Fruit juice was watered down. Everything else was clean and tasty.

I was very impressed by the staff and assistance received. I had a handicapped accessible room and the only thing different I would choose is to be closer to the lobby as that is where the ice is located and check out is easier.
I would suggest you bring your own lunch or dinner. I had very burnt chicken from a source connected but not owned by the hotel.

We found Reno Airport Holiday Inn Express to be "A-Number One".
The staff was kind and helpful. The facility was spotless. The breakfast was excellent and well-organized. Our room was comfortable and quiet. We rested well.
We saw that the Veteran's Administration had chosen this site for Veteran Outreach. That is a good sign.
Congratulations to the Staff of Reno Air Airport Holiday Inn Express, AND to Holiday Inn.

why can't anyone purchase king size pillows for a king size bed?? room air conditioner did not work properly, bug in bathroom (not sure what kind, just squished it) very loud not enough sound proofing and if you are older and need sleep.. do not ask for a ground floor room.
Staff were great, friendly and remembered names- 4 stars!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was varied and suited our needs.
The staff was friendly and helpful as this was our first stay in Reno. The shuttle bus to the various locations we wanted to see was very assessible. We did not rent a vehicle while we were there so the shuttle was great. Very short waits for the us and they dropped us off where we requested and picked us up when we called for picked up. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

This is where we like to stay when we transit Reno. (We do not visit for the entertainment or gambling.) Fine accommodations, an especially courtesy and congenial staff, and first rate management. Cannot say enough good things about this property. Our most recent stay was 8/21/13. We had a small glitch in our reservation -- entirely our fault -- but it was handled efficiently, courteously, and personally by the General Manager who said that his guests' were his primary concern -- and he showed it with a phone call to us that sorted out our problem. Bravo for excellent management. Will definitely stay here again.

Close to the airport, yet very quiet. Our room was great and the kids loved the pool and especially the breakfast options. Probably the best breakfast I have seen for a complimentary breakfast.

I wanted to thank the person who recommend us to stay at this hotel. We were really pleased that we were able to get a room last minute. They had 1 suit left which is just what we need traveling with a lot of young kids. when our advance reservation from price line that ended up not going through (though they didn't let me know until I called the day we were suppose to check in to see why I didn't get my e-mail itinerary) any way it work out to our favor. I think we were able to have a better stay. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. We got in late after a long drive They gave my kids each a drink and they have the complementary cookie as well. The room and whole hotel is very clean. The breakfast is the usual though they did have a fun automatic pancake maker that the kid really liked. The pool was a like too, the kids still swam and had a great time.

We spent 4 hights for Hot August Nights and had a great stay. The room was nice size and very clean. The whole property was well maintained. We especially like the secure parking area. The breakfast had many items to choose from and a changing varity each day. The food attendant was very friendly and did a great job of keeping the items restocked. She is a great asset at this property. We like the central location and will stay here again.

After dealing with hip surgery the wife and I needed a night out to get away from the family, it was what the doctor ordered. The staff was very helpful with my special needs. The room was clean and comfortable. The step in shower was wonderful. Couldn't have asked for better.

The staff was very helpful with any request I had. The shuttle was excellent and got me where I needed to go within the 3 mile radius and drivers were very polite. The room was clean and I used the refrigerator and microwave daily. I would definitely stay here again, it was close to the airport. Noise from the airport could not be heard nor could I hear any traffic noise from the freeway in my room.

We stayed here one night while a hot august nights was in town. The hotel is nice and kept very clean. The front desk staff was helpful however they do not have roll away beds. The breakfast in the morning is awesome. Overall a good hotel and would stay here again.

I had called this Hotel directly to book the room. We have stayed there since it was new for the "Hot August Nights" car show. 5 years in a row. when I booked the room I had mentioned a mistake that had happened the year before and the year before that. the two prior years we had been given a room facing the freeway on the 3rd floor. a room that was not very quiet. I had asked that I not be given this room again. While the attendant stated there where no guarantees she would note my concern in the reservation and assured me everything would be OK. 523 miles we drove from Palmdale Ca. Upon checking in I noticed we where on the 3rd floor again. I asked if this room was on the freeway side. The desk clerk said "yes it was" I asked if there where any comments on my reservation where upon she said "no" I told her my story and she seemed very unconcerned and told us that was the only room available. We stayed that night and not only was the traffic loud so was the refrigerator making all kinds of strange noises "ALL NIGHT LONG" My wife can sleep thru anything and even she could not sleep that night. In the morning tired, I talked with the manager. Nice guy but not sympathetic to our problem and not willing to fix it. We left and could not find another room and had to leave Reno after only one day there. Don't think I will ever stay in a Holiday Inn express again and for sure not in Reno. I think there must be new management that doesn't care about their guest. the two prior years we had no problem getting another room though we did spend one night in the " FREEWAY SUITE" two years ago then was transferred to a very nice room. Also the rooms seemed better maintained back then. Hopefully enough people will complain and upper management will fix the problem. Too bad it will take more people having a unpleasant stay to fix it.

Even though the name doesn't sound special, this is a great place. We did not have a car, and took a cab from the Reno train station to the Holiday Inn Express. We were going to fly out the next day from the Reno Airport. The Holiday Inn had a free shuttle service so we could go to a restaurant for dinner, and then a shuttle service to the airport at 5 a.m.
The staff was great, the hotel room was comfortable. All was well. Very clean too.

I flew to Reno to meet my wife and travel around California for two weeks. The Reno Airport was great but much more expensive than what I was used to in the South and Midwest.
I stayed at a number of Holiday Inn Express in California and they were all expensive and many run down and not well managed. Most did not have indoor pools..
Upon leaving California and driving west on I 40 the hotels were once again value price and what I had come to expect. The one at Amarillo Texas was superb.
I would also point out, as a priority club member for many year, that I did not know about the shift to IHG rewards and that membership meant very little other than accumulating points.

Me and my wife are avid vacationers so we have literally been around the world in countless hotels. We always stays at the Holiday Inn Hotels so we are members of the Holiday Inn Vacation Club (Resorts) as well as Platinum IHG Reward Members. I took my family on 8 days trip we spend 9 days in hotels rooms. All of them were forms of Holiday Inns. I did not expect to end up at one of the Best Holiday Inns I have ever been to on a business trip in Reno NV. The employees were top notch and the place was spotless, spacious, and Brand New!!

I was very impressed with how quick and efficient check-in was! My family and I just completed a 2 week road-trip and stayed in many hotels along the way....This Holiday Inn Express was by far the best! It was the only hotel on our journey that actually had prepped our room w/ enough towels and pillows for ALL of us. No need to call the front desk and ask for more! Very comfortable room, helpful and accommodating staff.

At reservation time was told by the front desk that they would make sure that a crib would be in our room for our grandbaby, upon getting into our room there was no crib, called the front desk and was told that they did not have one. So we needed to go out and buy one just for a one nite stay, and the front desk did not ever seem to care. Also we stayed in an ADA room as i have ALS and need to use a walker, the carpet was filthy you needed to keep your shoes on the whole time you where in the room or your socks, or bare feet would turn black what is that about????. I wonder what the Board of Health would say??. Just a question.
And with a 21 month old with us that was a very bad thing!!!!. And the card reader outside the back door did not even work. If this is how Holiday Inn's are ran i can tell you this, Myself, family, friends, and any other person i talk to will know of this very bad experience.
contact me if more info is needed, and hopefully someone will fix all of this so that other people will not have to go through is like my family did.

This was a horrible exprerience! We were moved once, the air conditioning was not working. That night in the new room, the air conditioner smelled like it was burning and died (3am we were calling the front desk). We were given a fan. Mind you, it is summer time in Nevada. While we were out the next day, the manager let us know the air conditioner was fixed. The manager on duty apologized for the inconvienence and stated we would be compesated for the night. I was compensated $25.00. We were promised compensation for the exhausting events and it was rude to then be reimbursed a minor amount. Not sure how a new facility could have two broken air conditioners and how we ended up in both of those rooms. I will never stay at this location again. I am not sure in general what I think now about the Holiday Inn. How sad.

This was a nice hotel, kind of tucked away when you are driving to it you almost think that you are going in the wrong direction. Very spacious breakfast area. The indoor pool is very nice even though I did not have time to try it out...next time. The room I got the window black out curtain seem to be too small for the window and did not adequately keep all the day light out of the room and my room was located right behind the neon sign...but other than that it was great. Two elevators in the building and various exits to the parking lot and a spacious parking lot as well.

Nice newer property. However, the shuttle service to the airport does not start early enough to catch early flights out of the Reno Airport. The food options close to the hotel are a bit lacking as well. The rooms are quite nice, however and have all the things you need to enjoy your stay.
