Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service comfortable The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the grounds of the hotel were neat and well organized. The morning shuttle driver was exceptional and handled the heavy traffic very professionally. The only suggestion for improvment is that during our evening shuttle ride from the air port to the hotel the driver was constently on the phone speaking in a foreign language and we thought it was rude. Prompt and courteous. front desk person was quick, helpful, and smiling (Jessica) felt like she was glad to be at work at happy that I stayed at the hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great choice for overnight cruise stay We were going on a cruise from Boston and needed a place to park our car for the week. The shuttle service was only to the airport but you can take the bus from there to the cruiseport very easily if you are not carrying too much luggage. The shuttle from the hotel and back was very prompt and we did not wait long to be picked up after the cruise. The hotel also provided shuttle to the subway. The hotel is clean, room and bed was comfortable and the breakfast had lots of choice. We would stay here again. August 12, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad stay at the Holiday Inn Express Saugus The hotel is quite a distance from the airport and the shuttle only runs once an hour. We arrived very late at night and were told we'd have to wait 45 minutes at the airport before the shuttle came. After two calls to the manager on duty, we got the hotel to arrange for a cab ride. It was a long ride. Arriving at the hotel, the check in process took longer than necessary. When we got up to the room and opened the sofa bed, the linens were clearly used and left over from the last guest. We had to request new linens, which were given to us in a messy pile (unclear if they were clean). Ended up sleeping on top of the couch. Very disappointing stay. Would not stay here again. We stayed here because it had a shuttle service from the airport and there was an Avis/Dollar rental car service less than 1 mile from the hotel. Renting a car is cheaper outside of Boston Logan by several hundreds of dollars. We got to eat out in the Saugus area and then went to the Boston Children's Museum. The room was comfy, and we stayed in 202 (2 rooms from the elevator) and didn't hear the elevator at all. The rooms are a bit tight since we have two small children but it offered two queen beds. It was modern and the shampoos and conditioners were great. The beds and pillows were great. Free Wi-Fi and shuttle drop off within 5 miles from the hotel plus airport pick-up / drop-off. The staff were great from Kaine and Jessica (hotel staff) to Dave, Stavi, and Jesus (shuttle drivers). You can't compliment them enough as they were always there. The breakfast is OK and comparable to other hotel chains. The 1 minute pancake machine was cool. Coffee was surprisingly good. Overall, I would stay here again if needed. I recommend it. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good On The Way In - Not On The Way Out Platinum member who has stayed here many times, but never used the airport shuttle. Was told at check-in that my early morning departure to the airport would include coffee and a breakfast to go even though I was leaving before breakfast was being offered. When I came down to the lobby around 3:50 AM I was told I could go get coffee, but no breakfast to go was offered. Perhaps because it was early in the morning both the guy at the front desk and the shuttle driver were a bit rude and brusque. July 31, 2014

Very difficult getting in and out of the hotel as you have to get back on highway 1.I would choose a different hotel on my next trip to Boston. July 31, 2014

We had one day to tour historical downtown Boston and helpful front desk suggested we take the FREE hotel shuttle to airport and take the train (2 stops) in to Boston and the same for return. PERFECT Morning breakfast was fresh and LOVED the automatic pancake machine.......need one of these at home! Plenty of shopping and restaurants a short drive away. Boston left a .....BOXXX around our HEARTAH July 28, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location; comfortable stay I enjoy staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Saugus, MA each time I work in the area. I am warmly greeted by the staff and usually get a room on an upper level which is my preference. The halls are quiet and the bed is comfortable. Parking is convenient. There is even enclosed parking available during winter months. I do look forward to BET being added to TV channel selections. July 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Customer Service The front desk staff at this property was first rate! If you need an extra pillow, they are right there. Directions to Boston - no problem. Need a ride to Logan airport? They will take you via their shuttle service. Sergio and Ludwing were outstanding! Thanks to them for always smiling and taking care of anything. They went the extra mile to make sure our stay was just right. They corrected minor issues with our room right away and were able to provide a firm pillow when those squishy pillows wouldn't do! (Hotels, please go back to regular foam pillows! These down impersonators squish around the bed or wrap around your face so you can't breathe!) The breakfast was hot and one of the best freebies I've encountered. They usually had scrambled eggs or these cheesy omelets and a choice between regular and turkey sausage patties. All of the items we sampled were fresh unlike some other hotels' continental fare. Unfortunately, the hallways are not air conditioned and the pool was not conveniently located - it was outdoor next to a noisy highway (although you can't hear much in the room.). But hey, you don't come to Boston to spend the day at the pool, so it serves its purpose for the summer months. Also, be aware of the traffic flow on Highway 1 as it does not allow left turns to keep the traffic flowing, and boy, does it! These issues were minor compared to the great service received! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to park and fly Stayed here twice in three weeks, flying out of Logan and returning. Excellent rate for two nights plus three weeks of parking. Excellent shuttle service. Excellent front desk staff. Breakfast was very good, but could have had more fresh fruit. Close to a variety of restaurants, especially the delicious Angela's Coal Fired Pizza. Will definitely stay here again when flying out of Boston. July 16, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tips for a Best Stay My tips for a better/best stay here: (1) Request a room facing away from the highway (we were happy we did so) (2) When the operator tells you on the phone that the shuttle will be there in15-20 minutes don't believe him/her. The first pickup was 24 minutes and the second pickup was at least 30 minutes. (3) If you need fast and reliable WiFi, don't stay here. If you are already booked, best WiFi is in the common area downstairs, but usually noisy with TV, other guests, etc. July 15, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate Staff was great, room felt old and bathroom fixtures were in disrepair, one towel was still wet. The fridge had old mystery bits inside. It takes a long time for the shuttle to pick up at the airport because it's pretty far away. But it was $50 less than staying at the hilton right at the airport so if the $ is important then this place is adequate. Next time I'll probably stay at the airport though. July 11, 2014
