Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor breakfast & late room cleaning No juice available one breakfast and no orange juice available on third breakfast. Breakfast staff said they were out of juice supplies. Room cleaning did not occur one day till after 5 pm. Front desk said there were a lot of check-outs that day. I stay at hotels/motels almost 30 times each year, and I've never heard this excuse before. I don't know if room cleaning would have been late the next day as I requested and received housekeeping service before 4 pm. January 9, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet, Clean, and Comfortable We live in Florida and visit family in Scottsdale at least annually. The Gold Dust Holiday Inn Express is our favorite place to stay. We have stayed in much pricier lodges that offer fewer amenities and smaller rooms. We'll be back! January 4, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Servicable, But Corners Cut The good news is that this is a reasonably-priced hotel with easy access to businesses and restaurants without being next to a busy road. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and if you're just looking for a place to stay, it works just fine. The downside is that there are some rather obvious corners that have been cut. The breakfast options are severely lacking, especially if you are trying to eat healthy. No fruit, no whole milk. The only thing I found appetizing that wasn't loaded with sugar was the sausages, and even those were a little on the rubbery side. The internet in particular is abysmal. This location advertises 'high speed WiFi', but apparently shares a single high-speed line with the entire hotel. The end result is a speed that barely qualifies as dial-up. So no streaming video, no online gaming - it can't even handle image-heavy static websites consistently. To make matters worse, the WiFi at local cafes and restaurants is almost as bad, so there are few alternatives. I work in web development and rely on the internet for most of my at-home entertainment, so this one is a dealbreaker for me. All in all, I'm not impressed. If I wasn't stuck reserving the same hotel as my coworkers, I would be looking elsewhere. One thing I will say is that the service is excellent - the staff are polite and helpful without exception. If I could get a decent breakfast and some high-speed WiFi that's actually high-speed, I'd give this place more stars in a heartbeat. December 19, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hidden Treasure Have stayed in Scottsdale for Business for many years. Happen to locate a Holiday Inn Express 6 miles north of were I usually stay. It is even more convenient for N and NW PHX and central PHX via Lincoln Dr and Scottsdale Rd. Location is close to shopping and dining options. It is quiet and the staff is pleasant and helpful through out the entire stay. The hotel is spotless as well as the rooms I have stayed in. November 25, 2012

I had to forgo what I wanted on the last day because it arrived after I was finished with my meal. Every day the elevator had not been vacuumed, and it looked quite dirty. Overall, the experience was good, but not up to the standards of most Holiday Inn express which we have stayed in. November 17, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Room I was given a room right by the staircase on the second floor. There was high foot traffic in and out of that door and hallway late into the night. Noise level was unbearable. Amenities is new but facility has an out dated look. I was in town for a continuing education course. Not having good night rests really affected my productivity. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very enjoyable stay I recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a clean room, helpful staff, good location, and good breakfast. The swimming pool looked inviting as well but I did not have time this trip. Wade was very helpful in checking me in on Sunday afternoon. My room was clean and neat. the staff taking care of the rooms were very polite and helpful. The quiet was another good quality that I noticed. Front desk staff were always helpful and willing to accomadate special requests. The manager was helpfull when I incountered a problem with my Iphone. The breakfast was very good and the kitchen staff made sure that there was always food available for everyone. When you walked in they greated you graciously. The european blend coffee was excellent. The location was good and the grounds were well lit. I will definitly stay here again when I visit Phoenix in the future. November 11, 2012

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by AC sounded like I was at an airport The AC was so loud and would cycle that when it did it sounded like a helicopter was taking off - this went on through the night - hard to get sleep. Also front desk staff were barely warm - not really helpful October 15, 2012
