Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Great place with sub-par hotel service Our request for early check in was denied. In fact, we got a late check in, around 4:30 p.m. It was especially sorely disappointing as we started calling around 10 a.m. on the day to see if an early check in would be possible. Most hotels when we call ahead make it a priority to prepare the room early. Not here. The hotel staff was very matter of fact about it. While we understand that that hotel was fully booked, the fact that we were calling in early should have alerted the hotel to arrange for housekeeping services to get to our suite. We had little ones and needed to settle in/unwind. Oh well. $15 discount that the hotel offered was not quite impressive enough. We plan to make Sequim our regular destination and were hoping to find our local stay a regular. Great hotels are often marked by great service and hospitality and not so much the breakfast or even the pool. May 25, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing We started calling at 10 a.m. of the day we check in to see if an early check-in is possible. The hotel representative responded that that wasn't possible and perhaps 2 p.m. might be possible. (FYI - While I understand that early check-in is not guaranteed, we have never been denied early check ins in our years of staying at different establishments/hotels/brands. I think especially when we call in early, the hotels typically make a note of the request and make it a priority to prepare the room.) In short, not only were we denied of the early check in, but instead, we got a LATE check in. We were provided with our room keys around 4:30 p.m. It was an awful start/impression and very inconvenient. We had small children and had specific plans for the day and needless to say, it negatively affected. Very disappointed. The hotel itself was clean and conveniently located and we wouldn't mind staying here again. But the customer service we were provided was not impressive. We were given a $15 discount. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Impressed We had a wonderful experience. We decided at the last minute to go away for the weekend, and we're glad we decided to stay here. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. The rooftop garden was an unexpected gem. Additionally, the "partner" restaurant was fun and had good country-style food with huge portions. May 22, 2015
