Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Welcome to the dark ages... I was disappointed to say the least given my positive experience at other HIE locations. The room lighting was inadequate. The small reading lights above the bed were broken and could not be focused when trying to use them. Upon check-in I was not offered a choice of points or a bottle of water and snack. The internet connection inside the room was weak and I could not connect. Had to go to the lobby/breakfast area to use my laptop. If I am ever back in the Shelbyville area, I will drive to the east side of Louisville to stay out. While it isn't the fault of the motel, the closest eating places are a Subway and White Castle. However, you can drive a little farther and go to the Cracker Barrel. December 16, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Three Day Stay Issues with Room 123 1. Sink Drain Release Handle/Cap separated upon use (see pictures)...See photos 2. Sink Aerator ----screen wire missing...very loose----water flows everywhere upon turn on. See photos 3. Paper Napkin in Bed between Sheets--Bed next to door 4. No toilet articles provided upon check in to room --had to ask front desk to replenish. See photos 5. Upon check in, found a Cell Phone and charging cord connected to outlet being charged---brought cell phone & cord to front desk. Item claimed my female senior staff that it was hers 6. Draft under window heater/ac unit........appears to need an external seal 7. Outlet on wall when entering room and next to wall mounted mirror...........very loose--both plate & receptacle..........safety hazard 8. Turned all mechanical issues into front desk for repair during Day 1 of my stay....no action taken by staff---Check out on Day 3 December 2, 2014
