This hotel looks good..but it isn't. We stayed for two nights for a trip to Legoland this month, and its not family friendly like they say..the food is cheap and nasty. the cutlery looked like it hadn't been washed properly..not nice. The ONLY food available was curry, this isnt family friendly in my opinion. The main problem though was the air conditioning didn't work at all and no window can open in there, so the four of us where sweating all night, waking up uncomfortable, it isn't what we expected after viewing the hotel on the website. Also the pull out sofa bed was ancient and didnt sit right, just lucky it was my two small children who where sleeping there, or would have been seriously uncomfortable. Also a lot of noise in corridors at night, people arriving all times of the night from Heathrow, just all over NO GO. :( :(

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by casualtraveller Great room but Poor Service
During check in two members of staff were very rude to me and my partner, discussing what a problem we're causing to them, trying to make it difficult for us to pay for the room and then checking our ID's about 3 times trying to find a fault with them. Even though afterwards the room was brilliant and the lady who did our check out was extremely helpful, the check in spoiled our stay to an extent.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DT4567 Room was nice but service was disappointing
After arriving in the early hours of the morning, the check in process was lengthy and slow.
I was also disappointed to find that I would have to pay an additional (and what I consider to be quite extortionate) fee for parking my car at the hotel.
Whilst the quality of the room was excellent, there was no option to open the window and the air conditioning was very lethargic and inefficient which affected our nights sleep.
This stay was not what I would have expected based on my previous experiences of Holiday Inn

Recent trip to Legoland was an ideal location. Great play area for kids, staff extremely helpful and attentive.
Great breakfast. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Having booked an adjoining carers room I found on checking in that the adjoining room had been missed. The hotel was full and my disabled daughter had to sleep in the same room as my wife and I. The management, while apologising, did nothing to resolve the issue and instead tried to suggest that it was my fault for not asking for a revised reservation number when booking the adjoining carers room. I am a Spire Elite member and on this occasion realised how little the loyalty scheme actually means when you are a visiting customer.
I complained to the customer reservation desk and they supposedly issued a complaint but I have heard NOTHING after 3 weeks.
Bad hotel - avoid it. Usefulness of the loyalty programme is now a serious question mark for me.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SimonAct Clean, modern rooms
The rooms were clean and modern. The bathrooms were very nice. The rooms were comfy and secure. No noise even though close to the M4.
Breakfast was poor though. Might have just been the time I was there but the only hot options of the buffet were beans, scrambled egg and sausage. No bacon, fried egg, mushroom, etc No bacon in a cooked breakfast!
Also, be prepared to pay an extra tenner for parking, which isn't readily advertised.
